Hubbell Animal Hospital Des Moines, Iowa

I recently moved to Des Moines. I have a 12 yr old Dachshund with IVDD. I have kept him with his life long vet in Southern Iowa. Recently he developed a bad tooth. I was u b able to fit him to his regular vet until the following week. He was in pain. Hubbell Animal Hospital got him in very quickly. He was seen, and antibiotics and pain meds were prescribed. The staff are all very friendly, and my little guy was treated very well. I will be having medical records sent here, so in the event we need to be seen quickly again, Hubbell Aninal Hospital can be his other regular doctor.

We love Hubbell Animal Hospital. The staff are extremely caring and helpful and we are extremely happy that we found this clinic for our pet Ella.

We needed a place to board our pup for the weekend when our dog sitter got sick. Our medium sized dog had a decent sized space to be in and got plenty of walks outside. They cared for a wound he had (received before going there) and gave him his meds for no extra charge. And he got a bath and nail trim.

They are the most wonderful people. My dogs seem happy and not traumatized to be there. They love the animals.

My almost 12 year old Kitty, Jackson, got sick and I needed a GOOD and AFFORDABLE place to take him. They took him the same day I called, the appointment was easy and they were extremely caring and kind. I would recommend them over and over.

Had a great experience with this clinic. They explained charges and exactly how much the visit would be before anything was done. I really appreciate that!

I wouldn't go anywhere else,,,,,,true empathy for your loved one's you will for sure get in this place,,,,, there's really not enough stars to rate this place, they deserve so much more.

I came here for euthanasia for our cat of 15 years. Hubbell animal hospital is the best possible place in town to go through such a difficult thing. They are so caring, professional, competitively priced, and there is a dedicated room for euthanasia where you don't have to go through the lobby or be around anybody else with their pets. I certainly don't *want* to come back for another euthanasia appointment, but when such a time inevitably comes, I will return to hubbell animal hospital feeling confident that my furry family member will have the most peaceful transition possible.

I was extremely impressed with Hubbell Animal Hospital. My puppy Ace had an accident and fractured his leg about a month ago. Hubbell was willing to work him in the day after his injury to make sure that he was taken care of. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. I can not express enough how thankful I am for the level of attention and care my puppy received from the staff. I hope we don't have any issues down the road but if we do I would definitely be willing to go back!

I had an emergency with my fur baby Sulli and had called multiple veterinary offices to try to get him emergency help and was turned away. His normal vet is closed on Wednesdays and I was desperate. I called this clinic and they had him inside within 20 minutes. In less than an hour they had him diagnosed and ready to come home with pain meds and antibiotics. He had surgery the following morning and is doing well. I’m so grateful to the staff here! Thanks for all you do!

Overpriced and unwilling to work with low income pet owners. I called to see if the checkup is the same price as the initial exam, and it is. I let them know I would be going somewhere else more affordable and willing to work with me and the receptionist sounded quite happy and got off the phone quickly. If you’re looking for affordable pet care, please don’t get stuck going here and have a high bill with no empathy for payment plans or exceptions.

I was sent here because the Altoona Vet couldn't fit me in and I am actually grateful because Altoona was nice, they're not as helpful as Hubbell. I've been to other vets for my two kitties and this one was the best by far. They've always fit me in relatively quick, explained what was happening, broke down pricing, and sent us home with understanding.

Our dog needed to have an emergency spay and they were able to get her in and took great care of her. They also were not as expensive as we thought it was going to be. I feel that everyone was genuinely caring for her and kept us informed of all the steps.
