Gwen's Pet Grooming has the best groomers. Sarah absolutely transformed my Schitzu, exceptional care and kindness with her All the staff are friendly and welcoming.

I have been taking my dogs to Gwen's for 15+ yrs. They have taken my paper copies of vaccinations and manually updated their systems, never taking a copy, or they have called my vet for update before I come in. Today I walk in for a nail trim and am refused service because there is no hard copy. They state a change in IA law last week requires this. I searched for this change in Iowa law. None was recorded. I asked as a courtesy why they could not do this time and I could get hard copies for them, no real explanation. What a waste of my time after so my years and many dogs I have trusted them with. Not happy for their error in record keeping.

They do a nice job at this salon.

Laura did such an amazing job with my puppy’s first hair cut! I was so nervous about it but it turned out great! He is a puppy so still getting used to grooming but they have been great so far! I’m very very pleased so far with this place.

Recently adopted a senior Boxer. Took him to Gwen's for a spa day. Antonio took wonderful care of Sarge. Thanks! We'll be back!

Great grooming! Great customer service! Everything about the experience was top notch!

After clearly stating we wanted to be trimmed as possible and not shaved, our dog was shaved entirely. We received no phone call stating there were no other options. We showed up on time to the appointment, weren't greeted in a timely fashion and then had to wait for them to verify our dog's vaccinations, which is totally understandable, but should have been completed prior to our appointment. While our dog did have some matting, other Groomer's have never just entirely shaved without asking first. Really not happy and won't be back nor will we recommend.

I'm not much of a review writer, but I just had to this time. Kennedy did an AMAZING job on my 5-year-old Yorkie. It was his first time at the groomer because I usually do it myself in fear that he'll come out looking like a rat if anyone else grooms him. I'm ecstatic with the outcome and will DEFINITELY be requesting Kennedy again!

I have been taking my fur baby (Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix) to Gwen's going on a year now. The first time I went, Cody got to meet Gwen and right off the bat she calmed him down! He went in barking & growling and after a few minutes with Gwen he was smiling & docile like nothing had even happened. Her staff is very polite & great with their clients. I never worry about Cody's treatment when he is in their care :)

I’ve been taking my dogs to Gwens for about 6 years now. I LOVE their staff and how personal they make each visit. Each dog comes home with snacks and a little report card that tells you how their day is going which I love! I’ve only had one bad experience, which a haircut was a little off but, Gwen personally fixed it, and it wasn’t a hassle at all to rectify. I’ve recently moved to Des Moines, and I still come down to CR to have Gwen and her staff (especially Kennedy) groom my puppies!

They've always done a great job on our dogs.

Gwens has been great for us. Our Bichon/poodle mix comes back looking like a perfect, white, cotton ball. They groom around her eyes in such a way that some how, makes her look sweeter! She's still a little timid so our appointments have been cut short then what we originally schedule, but the fact that they call and let us know that how she's doing, because they don't want her to be more scared, I really appreciate that they keep her mental state in mind, even if it means cutting an appointment short and losing out on some money. They are GREAT.

I have known Gwen for between 26-30 years. Dogs are not her only expertise. I first met her when she was the stallion manager for a top ranch. Even then, I knew dogs were her greatest love. I have taken many dogs to her. They are always groomed to perfection and love her.

Gwen's is great and have been so accommodating through this tough year. Sara Beth always gives our dog the perfect cut. We won't go anywhere else!

Clean and friendly. There was a golden retriever loose when I went in (as a heads up). He/she gets along well with other dogs.

I am always so pleased and happy with the great job they do here!!! They are always so friendly and listen to my request on the cut. I have been bringing our Collie Pepper for several years and recently acquired another Collie that was an outside dog and had never been groomed. I am so impressed with the awesome work they do, now Monte looks amazing!!! So happy with my experience here!!! Definitely recommend Gwen’s to everyone!!!

1st time here and my dog was in and out. She has some anxiety and the technician was great with her.

I've been to a few groomers around the city before finding Gwen's, but I'll never go anywhere else again. My dog is always so excited when we leave, so I know they must really be pampering her & treating the pets right!

I had the worst experience getting my dog's haircut. I have a cairn terrier and her entire face is shaved. She looks like she was shaved with no guard on the sheers leaving lines on both sides of her body. I have had her hair cut here before and it was fine but this was the worst cut he has had. I would ask for someone else if they assign you Brittney!

Gwen's does a great job with our dog. They are always prompt and professional. We have been taking our dog here for a couple years and have a great experience every time.
