Even if I don’t have an appointment, they will see my pet for an emergency. Very confronting to know that your pet will be taken care of that day.

My dog was not a regular patient here but I was recommended to Frey by my vet for an ultrasound. They were very sweet with my precious girl. The results of the ultrasound were not good and the vet that called was incredibly helpful and compassionate.

We decided switch vets that would accept our AKC insurance. Frey Pet was the best option. They sent email and text reminders and confirmations. As soon as we got there we were warmly welcomed by the amazing staff. I couldn't recommend them more. They are absolutely amazing and reasonably priced (even without insurance)! Ditch your current vet and come here!

My first experience taking my dog that was great! Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The vet was amazing! They already knew her and her history so that was helpful. They helped me a lot and provided great service to her. One of the vets even called me back twice about my questions on her meds and what else I could do for my dog before her visit! I was also amazed at the ease they had of trimming her nails because she hated having them done. It was great and much needed! Besides they have great treats that she loves!

Best vet you could go to. They have state of the art equipment and are great with our uncooperative dog. We always have a plan going to their office and are treated with the upmost kindness. We won’t go anywhere else!!

Absolutely amazing, you can tell they genuinely love animals. From when I had to put my dog down to bringing in other dogs they are nothing short of amazing!

We have been with Frey's for over 20 years and have had our two Pugs there. When our first passed away, they were very nice and helped us with questions we had for our second. I can't say enough about how happy we are with them from the moment we need to call for an appointment (and their pet portal online works AWESOME), to all the staff when we get there, to the vets and techs. They listen to us and provide great care (and just attention) to our little girl. Always professional but still very friendly and personable. We know our pup is in great hands!

I was referred to Frey for a second opinion for our dog. They were kind enough to squeeze us in for an appointment within a reasonable timeframe; the staff and Vet were friendly and took the time to do a detailed exam and walk me through the findings and different options for treatment. The cost wasn’t overly expensive for an exam and medication. I would highly recommend Frey to others.

I have taken my furrbabies to these guys for years. They are very caring and loving towards not only the animals, but the parents/owners as well. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for a vet.

I was recommended to go to Frey Hospital for an ultrasound on my fur babies heart. And let me tell you... they were the only people willing to get him scheduled in a timely matter and were BEYOND kind to me. I was in tears by the time I called them, I’d called at least 5 other hospitals that couldn’t get him in for weeks; we didn’t have weeks. (And I am not blaming any vets office for not being able to get him in, I work at a vets office and 100% get the insanity it is right now!!!). They were very kind and caring during the whole process. They ended up having a cancellation and called me right away and got him in even sooner!!! Unfortunately we didn’t get good news, but I am able to know now what is going on and what to expect. I would highly recommend anyone to this vet clinic! They are so kind and caring!!! Dr. Jennifer talked everything through with me, answered all my questions and showed such love.. to do that to a stranger is just amazing❤️ Kuddos to you guys because I talked to several that werent! Thank you again for your compassion during such a hard time❤️

They are fantastic, Dr Steen and assistants are very pleasant and helpful. They are very timely also.

These people go out of their way to help your pet. Are they the least expensive place in town? No. But they are definitely one of the best in our area. One Veterinarian ran a test for us after normal office hours and called to let us know the results. That's one example of how much they go above what is required.

A bit pricey. Seem to want to run unnecessary tests.

i haven't had a terrible experience but i also haven't had much of a positive one. i'm new to the Cedar Rapids area and i saw all of the positive reviews on here so i took my cat here to get dewormed a few months ago and had to wait 2 hours for a 15 min procedure. i understand they were busy but wish they would've just scheduled me at a later time so i wouldn't have to wait so long. they also told me they had to give her a physical exam which i was fine with, but all they did was check her eyes and then charge me $50 for it, so i was disappointed it wasn't more thorough. long story short, she has worms again so i called and asked if i could buy the same prescription, and the girl i talked to on the phone told me to bring in a sample so they can make sure it's the same type of worms she had before, and she told me to either bring in a stool sample or a worm from what she's been throwing up, so i brought in the worms that i found in her vomit as she shares a litterbox with my other cat and it was easier that way. well whoever called me back was very rude to me, she told me it wasn't enough and made me feel stupid for doing what they told me to do. they did prescribe her medicine, but kept telling me that i need to bring my cat in next time, which i understand and would've done anyway. i was confused why she was being so rude to me when i was simply doing what i was told, and had been told my last visit to just call for the prescription if the worms persist. long story short, i will not be coming back because i have been disappointed the two times ive taken my cat here and will be finding a new vet in the area.

By far the best in the area. Ms. Dazy had ACL surgery in July and Dr Steen and staff were absolutely amazing! I can’t thank them all enough for how they cared for Dazy through the surgery and all the follow up visits.

I took my pet rat here, and they gave him great care for his little respiratory infection. It’s hard to find a vet that will see rats, but they were very compassionate and kind. Will for sure be coming back if I need to!

I love my pets very much and I feel as though the care is very professional and thorough. Treatment is explained in detail.

My dad always took my pets growing up here. Now that I have a pet of my own, I was inclined to also try this vet. I took my cat there and was not disappointed. Very professional , efficient and an overall great experience that was low stress on my cat. Would recommend to family and friends.
