We could not be happier with Heart of Ankeny and the services they've provided over the years. I have always and will continue to recommend when anyone in the area is looking for a vet.

I had our pack of 3 stay at Heart of Ankeny while we were away in Florida for 9 days. Not only was I worried for our Pyrenees, who had never been away from mom or dad that long, but also for our 15 lb terrier who is made of pure sass. The staff is amazing, and reassured me every phone call I made ( I called everyday to check on them) but they also post everyday on their Instagram page. Not only did I see several pictures of our beautiful fur babies, but also videos of them playing in a group and having a great time. I will never have my dogs boarded at any other place than Heart of Ankeny, and recommend it to any dog parent. I would give them 1000 stars if I could, not only for the quality care but also for reassurance my husband and I had while we were getting married. They are awesome!

Quality care to our newly adopted Amy Rose. Our domestic short hair cat was well taken care of. Staff answered my questions and provided me with the education to take care of of our new cat. Thank you Heart of Ankeny staff!

We boarded our 14 year-old Shih-Tzu at Heart of Ankeny for 24 hours while we went out of town. The whole experience from setting up the appointment to pick-up was very positive. I felt very confident leaving her there. I would highly recommend Heart of Ankeny for pet boarding. I don't yet have any experience with their veterinarian care.

Nothing but great things to say about Heart of Ankeny!! As a first time dog mom they answered all of my questions and addressed any concerns that I had. From the front desk, vet techs and vet everyone treated my dog as if it was their own and showed him lots of love! We have been seeing Dr. Quinn and absolutely love her! I would recommend anyone to Heart of Ankeny! I know my dog is in great hands there!

We were unable to get squeezed in to our current vet, so we tried Heart of Ankeny! Dr. Quinn was incredibly kind, as well as the secretaries and tech’s that we spoke to. They took such good care of our little Theodore, have checked in since we’ve been home! Fair prices and fabulous service. :)

You can tell that everybody there likes animals. I can always hear them cheerfully talking to people's pets on the other side of waiting room doors.

I had found a dog wandering around the Casey's I work at nearby and brought it to here to see if they could find it's owner by looking up the numbers on her vaccination tag. They found the owner and I was able to get the dog home safely! :)

We took our seven month old puppy to be boarded for 6 days. Sharing of the photos on social media eased our minds. We knew he was getting lots of love. He was exhausted when we picked him up. Will definitely take him again. Looking at daycare for a day or so to wear him out!

I want to express my sincere appreciation for the care Dr. Oldfather and Morgan gave to our sweet Schnauzer, Maddie. At 16 1/2 she has been showing signs of discomfort and they gave us some positive options and the support we will need as we continue on our journey, with our sweet girl, to give her the best quality of life possible. The staff at Heart of Ankeny are always nice. They really seem to care about my fur baby and do whatever they can. This is a great place to bring your pet! I definitely recommend.

We’ve been taking our dog here for almost 3 years and have always had a positive experience from the front desk to the techs and vet. Very thorough and don’t push services that aren’t necessary.

Liked the vet a bit pricey compared to old vet

I adopted my first furbaby almost a month ago and I've been to see them three times with her. Once for a post adoption checkup, a second for a vaccine booster, and third because of an ear infection. They were very kind in answering the plethora of questions I had regarding her care, and were prompt in setting up each appointment. They walked me through what they were doing, and why they wanted to do it before they finished. All in all I highly recommend.

Disapointed about our expereince here. Called multiple times and asked questions about their monthly plans. We decided to proceed and made an appointment. Arrived for the appointment and was told there was a $99 one time activation fee in addition to the monthly plan. I exlpained I had called multiple times to discuss the plan, made an appointment, and took the trouble to come in for the appointment, all the while no one mentioned a $99 activation fee. They refused to waive the fee. We choose to leave and will be going else where as we do not feel they were upfront about all of their charges and fees. Also, they aren't allowing anyone but your pet into the clinic due to covid (which is understandable), instead when you arrive they ask for you to call. We tried calling and all of thier lines were jammed. It took us a good 10 to 15 mins to get through to someone just to let them know we were there for the appointment. I had to physically go bang on the door just to tell them we were there and waiting in our car.

Stacey Munger and her staff are absolutely wonderful with my three for babies! She’s very compassionate I love how she follows up to make sure they are doing OK. She also recently introduce a new app called PetDesk, which makes my busy life so much easier. I’m able to schedule appointments with her via the app.
