I go their for meal worms for my venus fly trap in the winter but with the shortages of pet food in grocery store they have kept a good supply.

Nice place and believe it or not a better selection than Petco or Pet Smart and CHEAPER! And a gem I’ll feed your frugal mouths: They price match Amazon…

Staff, young and midaged.... We're not the most pleasant to receive service from. Didn't know much about what they did and did not have. Just coulda been less judgmental. Otherwise.... Ok.

I bought for fish from this place not even 24 hours I go to my grandma and my dad I come home three out of the four that I bought are dead

Deceptive sales and signs. The store had a buy 2-get one free offer. At the register we asked the clerk if she had taken off one of the products that it was supposed to for the 2-for-1 offer. She told us yes. She additionally didn't sign us up for the rewards plan despite asking us if we wanted it (we said yes to it). We realized she did not in fact honor the 2-for-1 deal, and when we spoke to management regarding it they refused to refund and said they could only offer a gift card for their store instead. The managers had to read the offer on their shelves for over 10 minutes before figuring out if our product was 'eligible' or not. If two managers have to do that, there's an issue with the sale and the signs they have posted.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. I’ve been coming here for at least 5 years for the majority of my dog & aquatic needs! Just a few days ago, I went and purchased around 30 fish/shrimp/snails. The young woman who helped me was the best staff member I’ve ever had at this store. I wish I could remember her name. Colorful makeup and hair (beautiful), is the best way to describe her. She’s an asset to your store for sure!!

The staff is absolutely wonderful. I take my puppy up there to Paige and she is absoultely amazing with him. Will keep taking him there for grooming.

Great customer service. Employees are always available. I cant find 2 employees at other "chain" pet stores. Pet Supplies Plus has employees at the ready to help! If you're in Northeast Des Moines, this is the best place for your pets!

I wasn't able to find the toy I was looking for, but one of the employees was so helpful. He suggested other toys after he had helped me look for the toy I was looking for.
