Thank you all for the beautiful card you all sent me because of the passing of my Blue. Thank you for offering creamition services so my Blue Man will always be with me. I also think you should have a reptile vet at this location. Thank you Robin Elmore.

Dr Neat is such an amazing vet. She took care of my Buddy and was able to figure out what was going on with him in such a short period of time. We thought Buddy had just fractured his leg but turns out it was his spine. When finding out this news Dr Neat was quick to contact me and give me all of the options I can take to get Buddy healthy again. She was able to provide us with options for financial assistance and called ahead to the hospital we ended up taking Buddy to. Everyone at this location was very friendly and supportive. I am so glad this is our vet.

They really love animals here, and we have gotten excellent care for all our beasts. I found it amusing that they were open on black Friday, but my organ transplant clinic was not. At the time, I felt bad about calling my doctor by my vet's name, but not so much now.

A great vet, and the VCA Care Club plans makes paying for your pet's healthcare super easy. My only complaint is that all the shelves in the waiting area need to be moved somewhere else so that they have enough seating to accommodate visitors. UPDATE: It’s been a few years since my last review and the shelves have been moved and there is more waiting space. Additionally, one of my babies has had skin issues and I made an appointment online to get her checked out. They proactively called me to get her in sooner. Then, the day before her new appointment, we had an emergency and they made space for us to come in immediately to get both issues taken care of. VCA Fairleigh is 100% the only vet I will go to ever again. Dr Zimmer, Dr Neat, and the rest of the staff recognize and have a relationship with all of our babies every time we come in and make sure they are comfortable, happy, and attended to. This is a glowing 5 star review, but there is always something that can be improved. VCA is owned by the Mars corporation, so some of the corporate inefficiencies of global capitalism are going to be baked in. The doctors and staff are amazing at their jobs and truly care about the animals, but I can tell just by the sheer volume of of pets and their guardians they serve, compared to the number of visible staff, that they are all overworked and underpaid. I would really like to see the Mars corporation and VCA take better care of the employees at this facility.

They took my dog back in 2018 when she had an emergency, she sadly passed but they took such good care of her and us. Since then I’ve taken my cats , everyone is so nice and I’ve never had a bad experience. Only a little more pricey but it’s worth it!

I adopted my puppy from the Humane Society and had a free exam with them. They answered all my questions with honesty and explained everything really well. I felt like she was in great care and they all truly loved taking care of her. They are also super nice over the phone.

Took my cat here after adopting from the humane society as they give you a free exam. They told me my cat had herpes and a heart murmur that could end up costing me a lot of money and that I should schedule an appointment with this heart specialist they recommend. I immediately thought something was off as I felt rushed throughout the entire process. I took my cat a week after to my regular vet and they said that he had no such things, no murmur, no herpes and they checked 2x over for both. I'm not sure if it's because I was young seeming so they thought they could get more money out of me - or if it's because the exam was "free" courtesy of the humane society. But I know now to never branch out of my regular vet. Always ask for a second opinion as well!

Dr. Neat and the vet techs I see genuinely care about my cats. I feel so much better and at ease about their quality of life, knowing that VCA is invested in their health and well-being. Highly recommend!

Everyone at VCA is polite, kind and professional. They go above and beyond to meet the needs of their clients. Shout out to Cari, the groomer, for doing such an amazing job on our doodle! He was so excited to see her today!

This place is wonderful, they were so loving toward our new kitty during his visit. He was so comfortable and had a great experience during his exam. All questions asked were addressed by the technician and doctor Rainy (I think that's the right spelling). The reception staff was also really courteous and organized. We were sent out on our way home with a goodie bag and a clear idea of what the next steps are to continue caring for a cat companion. I'd recommend this place to anybody who would like to minimize the post vet visit stress and anxiety that cats may show.

Outstanding experience for Dak's appointment today. I haven't owned a puppy in over 20 years and they really eased my mind. Thank you VCA.

Convenient in the highlands. Great staff. Expensive for most procedures (may want to check prices at other vets). Consistently come back for the grooming.

I have a small poodle mix that we have brought here multiple time for the vet and my cat who came to the vet and they are great! They are very fast professional and have a great vet staff! The only reason this rating is so low is because of the groomer... every time our poodle mix comes here she ends up getting shaved because of matting. We had an issue with matting when we lived in a different state and they took the time to get out as much of it as possible. We have been here 4 times and no matter how bad the matting is we always get our dog back shaved. The groomer calls us before trying to get mats out and just says she needs to be shaved. We were told to put a sweater on her and it ended up matting her even worse. I just think the groomer doesn’t want to put the time or effort into grooming our poodle mix dog.

I was recommended this VCA by the Kentucky Humane Society after adopting my dog. They have their curbside service down pat and I felt very safe throughout the process. The vet and techs were all very informative and answered all my questions without making me feel silly. My dog was relaxed and happy when they returned him which is what is most important to me. I will definitely use this clinic for the duration of my dog's life.

I can not recommend VCA Fairleigh enough. We brought our cat, Daisy, in with dental problems and their team worked quickly to get a treatment plan set up for her. In particular Dr. Zimmer is wonderful. She was the perfect balance of professional, caring and educative in her approach. That being said the entire team is warm and welcoming. Their communication is efficient and thorough. They are also very careful in how they are handling Covid. 10/10 recommend.

They cared for my sweet fur baby so well. They always remembered her and took such good care of her, and they always listened to me when I was concerned. When I had to say goodbye to my girl, they sent me a hand written letter with all their staff’s signatures. They care about our babies almost as much as we do.

They were so great with my dachshund! They have a tier club you can pay monthly and it covers as many visits as u need a year!! Amazing if you can’t afford large chunks of cash for vet visits at one time.

Of the few businesses I have patronized during COVID-19, VCA Fairleigh has, by far, the most organized and effective procedures & policies. These address both the staff and the worried pet owners. Appt. by phone or website; pet parents arrive on time & call VCA; a masked staff member comes to collect your pet; patrons wait in their car until the pet is returned. Same procedure for credit cards; which practice makes me paranoid. I am only speaking of a small procedure performed by a tech, but the 15 min. total wait was almost beyond tolerable in 90° outside heat, & add to that the tin tomb temp. of whatever vehicle you arrive in. For a Highland's establishment to implicitly require its patrons to wait outside (some can/will idle untold exhaust fumes into the atmosphere-unusual for a neighborhood known for its commitment to reduce carbon emissions.) Written during the high heat of the beginning July, 2020.

These people are really nice. Cured my cat of blood in her stools. I thought she would need surgery but they fixed her with medication. I highly reccommed them.!!!

My 16 year old cat is blind, deaf, has failing kidneys and can barely walk. Fairleigh was perfectly happy to make an appointment for euthanasia for $180. You can have a dying pet euthanized at Louisville Metro Animal Services for $25. However, they want a letter from your vet agreeing it’s time. Although they were happy to do it, they wouldn’t give me the letter. So my poor cat has to suffer until she finally succumbs to her painful illness. Very sad.

I was thrilled to add a member to the family (cat), and fairleighs staff treated us like we were their family too. We got an appointment as soon as possible, did the pre visit questionnaire, and were seen shortly after. Dr Baly McGill and staff were so sweet to my new pet and I. Very caring toward my concerns, very gentle with my pet, and made sure if I had any questions they answered with grace and extensive knowledge. They gave us the treatments we needed and didn’t try to push anything extra on me, unlike some other veterinary offices have. I already love this place. Highly recommend fairleigh!
