Love this vet office! There is kindness and compassion like no other!

So nice and helpful everyone that works there is great.

I have been coming to Shelbyville Road Vet clinic since we relocated here 8 years ago. My pets, some that have very rare Immunocompromised disease requiring very specialized care, have been treated at one time or the other by all the veterinarians at Shelbyville road. Each and everyone of the veterinarians and staff provide excellent, compassionate carel Each veterinarian listens very closely, always completes a very thorough examination, they explain their findings in great detail and very important to me - I have never felt felt rushed during an appointment. If testing is required the vet personally calls with the results and is more than happy to answer any questions I might have about the results and teatment options. If I had an emergency, which has happened on several occasions, the staff listens closely to the issues and if necessary goes to great extremes to fit us into the schedule - I cannot say enough about how wonderful and caring the entire staff is! We have had pets our entire lives and due to corporate relocations have lived in 10 cities and I have to say that out of all the veterinarians that we have had Shelbyville Road is the best. I give them a solid 10 out of 10!

Every one is always so friendly and caring. The entire staff cares and takes their time to make sure our questions are answered. They are all prompt and kind. Love it here!

All the vets and vet techs really care about the animals that come there. Dr. Carcara, Dr. Critchlow, and Dr. Luba have always been there for my dogs with good advice, caring from day to day regular maintenance and issues and when my sweet Gemma was passing away from cancer. From the front desk staff to the all the vet techs they always remember my dogs, call them by name and treat them like I would. For that I am forever grateful! They really are the best!

The staff and the all of the vets are so amazing and take such great care of our girls! They’ve been so accommodating and get us in when we have an urgent situation with our senior dog and are always so kind to follow up the next day to check on her. I never feel rushed and they always answer all of the questions we have. We switched from another vet a few years ago and have been so thankful and happy that we did!

They are the most kinda and caring vets in Louisville. I couldn’t recommend them enough to anyone looking. Our doggos actually love going to the vet!

I had a great experience. I went in there for my first time checkup with my new dog. My dog went through all the vaccinations with ease. The staff were caring and excited to see the dog. The staff was also very respectful and eager to answer any questions I had.

Very disappointed I was charged to diagnose a viral papilloma that I’m positive he contracted at the vet during a teeth cleaning! They said it couldn’t be sure he got it here but he’s literally not around ANY other dogs! I miss DR Clark this place has gone down hill! $50 for 5 minutes!

They preform unnecessary procedures/lab work without the consent of the owner first- exploit the fact that your animal is part of your family and know you'll pay anything... so they give you needless medication and/or have you STOP medication in order to keep your pet sick, so you'll KEEP GOING BACK AND SPENDING MORE MONEY! I have NO clue how this place has a 4.7 rating. Proceed here with caution! Edit: Went to get a second opinion from another vet, and he was astounded by what they had preformed and told me based on what was just a simple, treatable, diagnosis.

Friendly and efficient staff. The vets always answer all our questions and talk over our options for keeping our dogs healthy!

Dr. Patterson saw my puppy, I’m a new pet owner so I had tons of questions. I also got my puppy in rough shape from the breeder so I was really concerned. I was incredibly impressed with how thorough and patience Dr. Patterson was with answering my questions and going over every aspect of my puppy’s health. Dr. Patterson didn’t rush the conversation, which makes me have the utmost respect for him and his team- they really care about your furry family member!

Love the staff, everyone is really patient and kind with my two terrors. The first time we went i asked about every little thing with my dogs and the vet answered all my questions and never made me feel dumb.

Professional, friendly staff. They always explain and give you the price of the procedure before hand. My cat had a dental surgery for a reasonable price. Very happy with this place. Wish they had an Avian specialist for my parrot...
