Our family has relied on Evergreen Animal Hospital for many years. We receive excellent service and are confident in the medical information given to us.

They're a very caring and compassionate group of people who are there to take a bad time with your animal and turn it around and make it a positive way. I truly appreciate the knowledge and professional that they share with me was above and beyond what I ever thought a pet are owner could ever experience. Well worth the money & time.fair priced as well.

Have always taken good care of my cat . People should stop complaining about $$. My only concern is I wish they had more space for boarding- larger cages & to give the pets more room to roam when they get out .

This is the ONLY vet who would see my baby girl Gemma! Sadly she didn’t make it. But the ladies in the office are so incredibly sweet! Supportive! Just al around amazing!!!! The vet there was completely honest! He didn’t sugar coat anything nor did he give me false hope! I loved that! When I went in he told me exactly how it was going to be and what needed to be done! I’m so forever grateful for this place! I couldn’t thank them enough for getting her in! I wish that the outcome could have been different, but that’s not their fault they did what they could!! I seriously highly recommend this place to any and everyone!!! Thank you so very much!!!????????

I have been a customer for six years. In April I had my five month old Morkie neutered there. Two and half weeks before his surgery he was vaccinated for Kennel cough for $48.00 and four days after his surgery he came down with kennel cough, I called and the receptionist had the nerve to ask me where has he been, I replied in your office that’s where. My husband took him back in and they charged us for the office visit and meds. We will not return. I recommend changing vets if you take your fur baby there.

We took our cat Ruby to this facility and they were absolutely wonderful with her. The facility was very clean and nice. The staff and Doctor we're also very professional also. I highly recommend date this vet within the Louisville area. ????

Very friendly and clean environment. Dr. Hornback literally saved my 10 month old pup from an invasive surgery recommended by another vet. He changed the entire treatment regimen to a more healthy one and I already see a new, playful pup!

Absolutely horrible experience. Went there to euthanize my cat, I had just moved so didn’t have a vet established yet. I was quoted $360 over the phone for euthanasia and private cremation. Once there they went to immediately inject my cat without sedation which apparently they don’t do. I asked if they would sedate him first since he was very distressed and they seemed overall irritated. The doctor sedated him and left and I had to sit in there and wait for him to return for quite some time even though he was sedated in mere minutes. Once he returned, he couldn’t get a vein so had to inject my cat in the heart, which he does and leaves again. He missed so I had to sit there with my cat for several minutes as he was breathing heavily. He came back in finally and had to do it THREE more times before it was finally successful. He wasn’t warm or at all comforting. Once I check out I see that they charged me $35 for a footprint I never wanted nor did they even ask if I wanted. I’ve had to euthanize many pets and never had an experience even close to that. I hate that my cat’s last minutes were that traumatic and that that is the memory left with me.

Very awful and horrible experience . Their rates are even expensive then the 7 star hotel. They send you random surprise bills for the things that they don’t even mention on their initial bill. Sandy at the front desk known for sending your details to credit collection bills for mere 20 bucks . They just lost me as a customer and I will make everyone else beware as well. Unless you guys don’t want to go broke don’t go there. This place should be shut down.

Not a bad vet. Im glad they were able to get me in last minute with my dog not feeling well. I feel like i overpaid for services and the vet made me feel rushed and also like i was stupid the way he was talking to me.

They were helpful and comped some services. Kind of pricey but comparative to city vets

Pet owners please beware of Evergreen Animal Hospital. We were taken advantage of yesterday when our dog was acting funny. After we paid $526, we now know our 16 year old geriatric dog does NOT have liver disease, thyroid disease, pancreatitis, high cholesterol and JUST has joint pain. Every single blood test was completed without our direct consent. We were thinking just a standard CBC would be been sufficient. We are quite happy she's not dying but didn't want others to fall into their trap of seeing distressed pet owners and dollar signs.

When you bring your geriatric dog in for a tooth extraction (which costs more than a human root canal and crown here) at the early morning hours they request and they still dont have the surgery done by late afternoon and tell you they are keeping your dog overnight due to their incompetence to maintain a schedule and expect you to be okay with old dog recovering from surgery alone in an kennel with no human in attendance. Not professional or trustworthy RESPONDING to response:The fact that you cannot recall doesn't surprise me but I cant forget the experience. 30+years of serious participation in show dogs and horses and this is one of the worst vet experiences Ive witnessed. This is a public service announcement for the general public to choose wisely.

Not super impressed by the blatant greed of this business. It’s obvious they care more about the money you’re handing over than the animal you bring in. I don’t appreciate fear mongering to increase revenue. When you up sell constantly and imply that if you without spending $500+, your pet may die, it makes people doubt everything you say. Add this place to the list of vets that cannot be trusted.

❤️ Evergreen Animal Hospital!! Dr. Brett Hornback is the Owner. Been going there since 1993. Friendly staff, offers grooming, boarding!

Dropped dogs off for boarding on Tuesday. Told the staff we would be back on Friday 11/24/17 at 5pm, (closes at 6) to pick the dogs up. They said no problem, we show up today to get them at 4:30pm and NO ONE is there. Everything is locked up and closed. We called multiple times and no answer. We understand if they are going to be closed on black friday BUT at least tell us when we drop the dogs off, and or put a sign on the door! Made a mistake on boarding our dogs here.

Took my cat there because He would see the vet and get groomed. An all in one stop. He never had any type of skin outbreak. After he was groomed once there he got some kind of skin infection....the staff is kind but I am not sure what is going on in the grooming area...not sure if the same equipment is used for cats and dogs....all I know is I will not go back. He has never been sickly but after going here, it was always something when he came home. I'm going back to Cat Clinic on Bardstown road.

My family has trusted Evergreen with our dogs for over a decade. My childhood dog for most of her life, my parents two dogs, and now my year old pup. Most of the staff has been there for a very long time, my dog knows the staff and is happy to see them. I have never waited more than 5 minutes past our appointment. They are a little expensive in some areas, but if you ask about the costs upfront they are honest and transparent. If you are unhappy with your bill them you should have done the research and asked questions just like any other service. My childhood dog lived for many, many years longer than expected. Good people, good service.

We told them we didn't want to spend a lot of money because she was 16 years old, blind and deff. So they ran $900.00 worth of test with out telling us what it would cost, and said ''you are right, now pay the bill''. So be prepared to get your wallet out because $900.00 is not a lot of money to them. This was 4/2016

I have been taking my dogs to Evergreen animal hospital for 5 years now. While they aren't the cheapest they are always upfront about pricing. And as with most things you get what you pay for! They know what they are doing and recommend the best care. Always very professional and kind. I even board my dogs here when I am out of town considering one isn't the friendliest and if something does happen they are already at the vet! Dr. Hornback is great and I wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone else.

I recently had to put a much loved pet to sleep because of a tumor. The care and attention he received was such a help to my coping that i would recommend Evergreen animal Hospital to everyone.
