I believe they care a lot about helping these dogs, however I wonder at how easily they can place them when all or most of the ones listed.say no kids, no cats. I personally grew up with dobermans and showed them, they are a most majestic dog in my opinion and I think they are better with children in their lives

I have been a foster on and off for this rescue since 2020. I can assure you this rescue cares so much about each and every rescue that comes to them. Anytime I’ve had questions or needing anything they are so quick to respond and help out right away. I love this rescue group. Honored to be a part of it and I would highly recommend BDR to anyone looking to bring a Doberman into their home. Or to anyone looking for a great rescue to foster through.

We've adopted two of our dogs from the Bluegrass Doberman Rescue (Buster and Izzy), and I couldn't be happier with the rescue. They really care about the animals and are diligent about the screening process and following up about the dogs. Doberman are not always an easy breed for first-time dog owners and the rescue is dedicated to providing education and resources to anyone who is interested in this amazing breed. Adopt, don't shop!

Bluegrass Doberman Rescue is a Wonderful Organization! As I type this my sweet Red Dobie Luna is laying across my lap. I haven't the heart to let her know she's not supposed to be a lap dog. Of course, it's fine by me. Anyway, I am so grateful to Bluegrass Doberman Rescue for the wonderful work they do. I'm sure it's hard sometimes, having to deny some individuals from rescuing a Doberman but as Bluegrass knows it takes a special place and special person to own a Doberman. Dobermans are amazing dogs but they do require a lot more than just a lot of love, they require a ton of training and a lot of work! They need walking and a ton of exercise, every single day, rain or shine. They require persistent training and they require socialization with other dogs and other people. They of course, are so worth it but again, they require a lot of work. I am so grateful to Luna's first very loving parents, whoever they are because they loved Luna enough to realize that she needed more than they could give, to me, that's love. So I know they are wonderful people, they just realized Dobermans, no matter how sweet, require a lot of work and training. At least I think that's what happened, I could be wrong. Of course, without the terrific organization Bluegrass Doberman Rescue, Luna wouldn't have had such a safe place to go. I love my sweet Luna to the moon and back but she required a lot of training and even today, she still is reminded who the top dog is in in this household. Thank you, Bluegrass Doberman Resuce!

This rescue is awesome. This will be my second adoption from them. If you are a Doberman fan, Google them.

This place is ridiculous. I have 2 dogs, that are very well taken care of an have a nice fenced in yard an yet I’m still denied. How are you supposed to find homes for these babies if you won’t even accept me!? I would have had a great home …

Amazing people! Have had the fortunate chance to spend time with several of the rescue dogs: a Blueberry (formerly called a "blue") named Forest and two Brownies (formerly called "reds") named Arthur and Winnie. Wonderful, gentle, and loyal …

If I could put a negative star I would. This place is a new rescue shelter that has only been open since 2017. I’m writing a review because I was denied by them to adopt a dog out of there shelter. Here is my story: …

Everyone at Bluegrass Doberman is amazing. They take such great care of the dogs and really ensure they go to their forever home. They do a thorough check on prospective families to ensure that the dogs are going to a safe and loving home. …

I would give zero stars. Worst experience ever with adopting pets. My boyfriend and I adopted two kittens from this agency a few weeks ago. The owner was blowing up our phones nonstop after we adopted them and was accusing us of not taking …

LOVE this rescue and the work they do. Although they are a newer rescue (and it’s not a shelter, all dogs in the program are placed in foster homes until they are adopted), the people involved have decades of combined experience rescuing …

My girlfriend and I absolutely love Bluegrass Doberman Rescue. We've fostered a handful of dogs at this point, and even failed on one about a year ago! They take pride in their work and protect all the dogs as if they were their own …
