I adopted this pup, and I'm so glad she was free, her name is now Leeha, she's extremely intelligent and she started out as my ESA however now she's my SDiT! She helps me with several different things including but not limited to depression and anxiety, but mostly with walking because I have an anoxic head injury that interferes with my mobility. Thank you ISAS and especially the adoption coordinator Camille DiMartin for helping me!!

They care about all animals and that means the world to me. Seeing their volunteers take pride in loving and caring for each dog and cat is amazing and it warms my heart. My adoption experience was wonderful and I got to rescue the sweetest pup, my furbaby Scar. Without the hard work put into this shelter, idk where it would be but this place is saving lives. Highly recommend you adopt a pet here, do not shop!

They act like they care about animals. I had a stray come into my garage that is scared and little aggressive from being scared. Says they can’t come get them for a week. I can’t take care of the dog with my other dogs Does anyone know any dog catchers that can come get a stray

Great, quick on finding butterscotch a new home. I have brought several cats over to animal control to find new homes, thank you animal control for being a no kill shelter.

IACS is one of the best shelters in the state of Indiana. The staff and volunteers at IACS truly care about the animals in their care and do everything possible to help the animals and the people who come through their doors. I've adopted two cats from them on two separate occasions (Oct. 2019 and Feb 2021), and both times, everything went well. The shelter was busy both times I went, but there were still staff available to help me when I had questions and later when filling out the adoption paperwork. I cannot say enough good things about this organization.

Staff is absolutely fantastic. Was such a great experience working with them on finding my new sweetheart. Despite not being able to walk through the kennels due to covid, their knowledge of the animals was very apparent. They helped me choose between a few "candidates", I'm positive they would have continued to bring more but I decided on a particular pupper quickly. They were so helpful with the adoption process, answering all my questions and information about the animal. The lobby was very clean and inviting as well.

They need help from our mayors office or somebody in city government. They still use tons of paper, they have weird hours, require appointments for everything and the staff seems like they’ve given up. I feel sorry for the citizens and animals in Marion County. This seems like a larger issue that’s out of control and the staff there is just trying their best with limited resources.

I have been calling them and 211 as well as Marion County and IMPD about a poor pitbull that is chained up in the neighbors house and cries and barks ALL NIGHT LONG this is ridiculous that No one has even came by to investigate this issue poor dog I feel bad for it cause if I’m freezing cold imagine it .

i needed to surrender my cats, i drove up there and they told me to leave my cats outside because we didn’t have an appointment. the MOST unprofessional place i’ve ever been to. if i could give it 0 stars i would.

I would rate 0 stars but I can’t so guess y’all get this one for no reason at all! They tell you a dog could possibly be urs and then say they will email you or text you to let you know and show proof that dog isn’t urs yet looks just like urs and then say they don’t have to provide anything YALL ARE SOME LIARS POLICE ARE GETTING INVOLVED HOPE YOU HAVING A NICE DAY RN BC YOU WONT BE LATER????????

The staff is amazing. Listens to the kind of personality we wanted in a dog and she has not disappointed.

Very easy to work with for adoptions, all adoptions are free right now. They do large and medium size dogs.

People were very rude. The cat cages were so gross. Poor kittens were rolling around in their feces. Cats were going to the bathroom outside of there litter box because it was so full and there was feces on the floors too. The smell was so overwhelming. We went to another shelter that was so clean and animals were too. No smells nothing. I feel bad for the animals there.

My husband and i loved our experience at IACS. Took a bit to have us meet our hammy(they named him leon) but very kind people. Told us a little about his past and about his vet visit the day after we adopted him. Only thing that made me a little uneasy was IACS aged him at 1 but the vet said he was 6 years old. Other than that HIGHLY recommend!
