Waiting on hold for OVER 45 MINUTES only to be subjected to rudeness!

Sadly, I will not be returning to Banfield in Greenwood, IN. Too many issues to list, but here are a few. Poor quality of animal care instructions with prescription medication for my cat Ear Infection. I actually had to take my cat in twice for this within one month period. I feel if I was given adequate instructions the first time (or any instructions) on care and how to CORRECTLY administering the medication, there would not had been a second appointment needed. Poor quality of record keeping. They lost my cat's previous shot records. Then misreading current vaccinations by wanting to give my cat a booster shot which he did not need. Another, is having my cat sit for almost 3.5 hours in their facility for a preventive care procedure that should had only taken 10 mins. at most. I was told it would be approx. 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. I finally, after 3 hours, showed up at their facility. I was told "oh he's ready". I said you failed to give me a call. I was ignored!! The final straw, I always purchase 6 months of Revolution and needed to do so before December 2021. They would not allow me to do so until my cat had his Roundworm preventive care which is due 12/6/21. And, they didn't have an appointment available until 12/29/21. If it was such a big deal to have the Roundworm prevention care prior to purchasing 6 months of Revolution, why was it taking a little over one month for an appointment (I called at the end of November 2021). They offered to sell me one month of Revolution. This made me think they are in it for the cash and not care of the animal. So with all that was said and more, I have lost faith and trust in this facility and will be searching for a new vet.

They took us in and treated our fur baby even though they were about to close. Very friendly staff and they truly care.

Shouldve listened to the reviews. Would not be returning to banfield... edpecially this one on us 31. let me just start off by saying the workers were all over the place. My dog was a first time patient, and before I brought him in a young lady told me a set price. When I got there I was told something different three different times. They didn't tell me where my dog had his shots so I could watch out for him being sore. Tbh idek if they really gave my dog shots. Probably just typed something up on the paper and handed it to me. The lady gave me the wrong paperwork for a diff dog as I was picking my dog up to leave. On top of that she couldn't explain to me the shots that were given, I had to read the paper and figure it out. They were more interested in me bringing him back for me to spend more money than explaining to me the things that were given to my dog. I was very uncomfortable with the organization, knowledge and information that was given to me, for that reason I will not be returning.

Sadly, we’ve decided not to return to the Greenwood Banfield. We thought it was a fluke when we took one of our cats to Avon Banfield & only had to wait 10 minutes to get her a leukemia shot. She needed a booster a month later and we scheduled it closer to home in Greenwood. This was all my cat required at her appointment. It took them 45 minutes just to inform us that they didn’t even have the shot! I understand running out and I understand being busy, I do, but why did I have to wait almost an hour to be told that you couldn’t perform the service I brought her in for? My little girl is terrified of her kennel and you could have saved her the stress. Not to mention, I had a fecal matter test in my other cats’ bags that no one ever bothered to tell me about. I have no clue what to do with it nor which cat to test or why. I can’t put my cats through that stress knowing that I’m taking them to a vet that is very hit or miss on their care. The people working there seem kind and a few of them are quite personable but I simply can’t trust their care standards so we won’t be returning. Avon asked us about our cat’s food, her temperament with the other cats, the flea scabs on her back, her time as a stray, and even called us the next day to check in on her. And that was our newest cat who we decided not to purchase a plan for! I feel like they honestly cared about her well-being. I’m not a fan of Banfield in general at this point but if we have to take our cats in again, we’ll be going to Avon.

Went to there long time and was miss diagnosed. Instead of fatty tissue was cancer tumor and she went bad quick then wouldn't ease her pain. And get her in sat she was so bad so went elsewhere that hadn't even seen her

Not even a client yet and they were so helpful. I called about my pet snake. She gave me some good advice but didn't know the answer to 1 question. So she said she'd ask the vet and call me back. Which she did the same day and explained my answer very clearly. Needless to say I now have a new vet. Calling for a appt ASAP.

Told them that Puppy was having problems breathing, coughing and lack of energy and they said that Puppy was in great health for a dog his age. A little over 24 hours later and we had to get Puppy put down. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU NEED AN ACTUAL VET.

Called to schedule an appointment multiple times during the week, no one ever answered. On hold for over 20 minutes with no answer. Never spoke to a person to let me know if they were just not taking pets at the moment or short staffed. One can understand that, but again no one picked up the whole entire week of calling. If you have an emergency better call else where to get an answer.

Been going there for years. Now I don't know anyone everyone seems like they don't know me which is fine. Find it interesting I have monthly premium plan yet after my dog's comprehensive exam new vet sent her home with nearly 70 dollars worth of meds. With covid my funds are low I had to decline pain medication for my dog after her dental and they didn't even throw it in after I have spent years there. Not very impressive. I had another dog that went there as well. Guess your just money and bye now.

Provided services without asking me, had a free first exam but they tried to charge me a whole bunch of money for different stuff to make up for it luckily I'm very educated so they weren't able to get over on me

I'm sure they do a lot of great work there. However I felt like it was just too transactional like an assembly line. Missing that personal touch. Also takes much too long to check in or out. Stood at front desk for 30 minutes before I could retrieve Roscoe. And once I got him into the truck he was panting so much I had to pull into a circle k to get him a liter of water to drink which he gulped most of it up instantly. Biggest take away for customers: Be prepared to wait a while. Biggest take away for business: Provide more staffing and resources for front desk.

I took my 8 week old puppy to the hospital that we have just welcomed into our home. I took him to the pet hospital because he was having cold like symptoms. After my puppy was diagnosed with a upper respiratory infection I was sent home with medicine and really no follow up to how to care for him in the meanwhile. This morning I woke up and my other dog is now showing signs of a infection as well. I called the hospital and informed them that my older dog is now sick and no one from the office asked or told me that this infection was contagious. They told me I have to bring in my dog and pay for another appointment.

Banfield Hospital in Greenwood is AWESOME FOR PETS! They explain to you what is going to happen to your furbaby about to have surgery (just the way we are we when we have procedures done) the doctor calls to tell you about your furbaby and after the surgery talks with you about discharge. All the staff are nice. And helpful. They listen when you are talking to them not cutting you off. They show genuine compassion and care.

Several things about this particular location. They are very money hungry. They want to give your pet so many medicines when the labs all come back fine just so they can make more money. The front desk people are also very condescending and speak in very passive aggressive tones. I will not be bringing my pet here any more and I have been going here for a few years now. Tired of dealing with rude people.
