I got my cat Ellie from them roughly about 3 years ago. It was the best decision ever and they were so helpful in helping me get my fur baby to her for ever home. So thankful to them :)

I am highly upset right now. Franklin county humane society is absolutely awful in how they treat people. Just because I am surrendering two animals doesn't mean you have to treat me less than a human being. I did ✨ not ✨ need to be reminded that these animals are put in cages. I explained 3 times that this was purely situational and I know they are loving animals and that I have been waiting on people to take them in their home. I understand in some ways this is my fault, but you are very cold towards people. I am trying to do things the right way instead of tying them outside on a pole and taking off! I actually love these cats, and this was purely situational.

Talked to 2 people on the phone that said we could do a walk through, because both dogs we wanted to look at were cat aggressive and one was already adopted, but when we got there, someone else said we couldn't. They didn't bother to ask or anything, just said no. Rude and uncomfortable. Major lack of communication, which made for a wasted trip. I hope the animals are treated better than the people are.

Very friendly, have issues with stray cats, I try to help but they continue to have more. So, were getting them fixed, She's a wonderful lady. I can't catch the ferral kittens, so she is helping me. The mom will be fixed, and as many others as we can catch, and brought back. Please spay and neuter so we don't create alot of animals that have no forever home. It's sad the pets being dropped, for others to care for . I'm trying to help but I'm just 1. I know several who are taking in many cats and dogs, that it becomes a burden to feed that many in the Bell point area but this year, I'm seeing more cats even in areas like where I am that didn't have problems like that. So I commend the Humane society for all the Programs available to fix these cats and find homes for the kitten's. They put in long hours going to areas and catching the animals, they provide safe catch traps, and even food for them if needed. Yes, I reccomend and am grateful our county has a dedicated team there for even adopting, Spay , Neuter program, and other options for animals to be released back into society and homes for our furry friends.

They make it very difficult to adopt.if you call be prepared to be talked down to very rude! I have donated food and money in the past I'm not funding them to be so rude. I feel sorry for all the animals that won't have a family. ????

Volunteers are wonderful! Our CACH Beta Club made treats and took down to the dogs at the Shelter today. The cages and such were very clean, Volunteers were kind and professional, and we really enjoyed personally giving the treats to the dogs and loving on them. Thank you Kelly and Shaun!

Staff responsive to emails. There are no visits allowed right now due to covid-19. I adopted a pair a senior cats. They were very healthy, had all necessary shots, and microchipped. After my adoption application was accepted, a staff member called me to see when I could pick up the cats. We set a time and I called when I arrived and a staff member brought the cats to me with a folder containing their records. I am very happy with the service the Franklin Humane Society provides. Spay, neuter, and adopt!!

A very run down shelter compared to the ones I've been to. Please adopt a dog or cat from this location it's ashame to see dogs living in the cold conditions outside.

So this past week was terribly hard, one of my daughters pups had passed away from parvo, another one got sick, so I reached out to Christina Alves, an employee at the Franklin county humane society, she treated Shiva (our pup) she came in on her day off, stayed late, and went above and beyond to make sure shiva was okay!! And bcuz of her selflessness our pup is going to make it!! I will forever be grateful!!!!!! Thank you all again so much!!!

We just adopted Reggie a 2 year old pitbull who is absolutely a lovebug! Sheryl was an absolute great help to us. Answered all of our questions and made us feel like family. Reggie has been home for two days and things are great. He was ready to call us his humans and come home the moment he sniffed us out. I could not believe it when they told us their pitbulls are all $25!!! Totally shocked because other placed wanted upwards to 120 to $260 for pits older than my boy. I could not say anything bad about this place! Absolutely wonderful!

Went to look at the cats. The kitties where well kept and so sweet. My daughter has decided now she has an apartment, She wants a cat. She played and cuddled with this one and that one. She finally decided on a beautiful boy. She picked him up today! I hope they will be so happy together. She will be a good mommy ????????????????????

Adopted all of our dogs from here since moving to Frankfort. Only negative is the building. Wish our City and County government could work with the community in funding the new shelter.

They are very organized, and very helpful. They are very good stewards of the resources provided to them. They take extremely great care of the animals in their charge. Their adoption process is equal parts thorough, easy, fast, and efficient. They follow up with you after the adoption, and make sure the animals are adjusting well. They also make themselves available if you need their help or advice for your new pet.
