Great staff and comfortable lobby area. The doctors and aides here are incredibly friendly and caring about all of their patients. Entrance to their building can be hard to spot during heavy / fast paced traffic. Make sure you're north- bound on Allisonville at 106th and watch for the sign on the right!

I’ve been taking my 2 dogs here for close to a year and the service is unmatched. I’ve yet to have a bad experience. They are very reasonably priced and truly accommodate each dogs needs. Highly recommend.

. I NOW PUT 1 STAR BECAUSE MY CAT STILL HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AND I SPENT OVER 200.00 FOR NOTHING. I CALLED THE DOCTOR MONTHS AGO AND SHE HAS NEVER RETURNED MY CALL. I AM NOT GOING BACK.

They keep our animals healthy and happy ????. Everything from checkups, grooming, to unplanned emergencies and sicknesses. Thanks for helping with our cats!! Scrambles, Breffus, and Bisquit look forward to seeing you next time. They provide sedation grooming for cats that are difficult to groom otherwise. Overall good experiences since we have been coming here.

Lady that answered was friendly, wasn't able to assist. But she was friendly, and the place seemed to be priced on the lower side of things. Not exactly like the shot clinic they do at various pet stores, but probably solid place to start if something is wrong.

Our experience with Allisonville Animal Hospital was...mixed. The staff is friendly, and patiently took time to speak with us, both in person and on the phone. Our pets are family, so this attention and connection is vital to us in a vet clinic. But our positive experience didn't go much deeper than that. We moved to Indianapolis a few weeks ago with a family of pets, and Allisonville Animal Hospital came highly recommended. Our pets had a few issues shortly after the move...our senior dog was unusually lethargic and seemed to have a back injury, and two of our cats developed respiratory infections a few weeks after we moved. We took our dog there first, knowing she was in distress, but not sure why. We told the office staff and vet that she seemed to be depressed and in pain, and that she had slipped and fallen out of the car when she tried to jump in on the day we moved, and she hadn't seemed right since. Our dog is almost 10 tears old and weighs 80 lbs, so a fall would be significant for her. She had a visible hump along her lower spine that was tender and inflamed, which we pointed out to the vet tech. They prescribed an anti-inflammatory, and told us her back was humped because she was tucking her tail. We took her back a week later when she wasn't improving, and told them her back still seemed to be hurting, and she was still lethargic. The did blood work to check for thyroid levels and other potential issues, which turned up nothing. At no time did they recommend x-rays to check for back injuries. After a month she was worsening, so we took her to a different vet who immediately recommended x-rays, which revealed that she had several spinal fractures. Our dog has a broken back, and has been living with that pain for a month because they missed it. The new vet immediately put her on pain relievers and a glucosamine regimen, and after less than 24 hours, her condition is significantly improved. Next, we had a respiratory infection that was passed among our cats. The first cat recovered quickly after his visit, but a second cat came down with it, and we took her there as well. Three animals for three visits, but we were unhappily surprised that we saw three different vets. We had no consistency with any of the clinic's staff. On our last visit with our second cat, the vet tech brought out my cat's carrier (all visits are curbside due to COVID), and fortunately I checked before leaving because the carrier was empty, and my cat was still inside the clinic, hiding under the exam table. I called when I realized I didn't have her...the vet tech apologized for overlooking her, and carried her outside in her arms (no carrier), and put her in my car. The clinic is on a very busy street, and the fact that she wasn't safely enclosed when the vet tech brought her out made me very uncomfortable. All in all, my biggest issue was that they missed my dog's broken back. I was also not pleased with seeing multiple vets with little to no treatment consistency (the vet who treated my first cat administered a different treatment than the second cat received, and the second cat's recovery took much longer), and we felt that the way things were handled were disorganized. I have some firsthand experience with veterinary clinics, and I know things get crazy and stressful. But I didn't walk away with a sense of confidence in this clinic, based on my experiences, and our pets are family. We will be using a different vet clinic from here forward.

Our animals, and the humans who love them, have received excellent care here for 12 years. We originally lived less than 10 minutes from this location but we continue to drive sometimes nearly 30 minutes because we appreciate their level of care.

I started to go to Allisonville Animal Hospital after adopting a kitten in January. My initial experience was good; however, my kitten had problems with constant diarrhea — that usually did not make it to the litter box. More than six months, half a dozen vet visits and hundreds of dollars of bills later, my cat still had diarrhea and I did not feel that the vets or vet techs were taking the problem seriously. They kept referring to it as "just a kitten thing" that would disappear. None of their treatments fixed the problem. I finally became sick of it and sought a second opinion. The new vet immediately told us this was not "just a kitten thing." They actually took us seriously, did tests and found that he had four food allergies. They prescribed a new food, and the problem improved more than it ever did with the Allisonville vets. One vet visit elsewhere was more productive than months at Allisonville. This vet has a nice building and friendly people, but I wouldn't recommend taking your pet there if they have something wrong with them. I will not return.

The folks who work here are truly some of the noblest, kindest, and most generous I know of. My cat had significant UT issues and took a lot of tending to, including bladder surgery. Dr. Ward, in particular, saw to my kitty and his well-being—Dr. Ward is immensely helpful, communicative, and appropriately direct. Dr. Short was the vet who helped me when it was time to make the hard decision about my dear cat, and she was neither pressuring or judgmental—only understanding and empathetic. In interacting with all the folks at Allisonville Animal Hospital, it became clear to me that the whole team was invested in my feline companion. This team of wonderful people deserves medals for their loving dedication to the lives of our furry loved ones. If I could give six stars, I would.

There is a vet there named Marcie Short she helped me put my big dog down. Dr. Short is now performing eye surgery on my 13 year old dog. I live in Westfield but drove back to Fishers so Marcie could do Fletcher. Great staff very caring.

Friendly and helpful! I took my dogs for the first time after they stopped letting you come in with them and I appreciate that they're keeping their staff safe by doing so.

If you have cats don't even bother with this (Note: It's Covid, so they had to be dropped off outside). My fiance and I first visited this animal hospital a year ago with our cat Sensei. We absolutely loved the kindness from the team as well as the female vetenarian (Marcie was amazing!). She was so insightful and kind. However, our recent experience was very poor! ( Let me be clear, the rest of the staff, as well as those answering the phone were kind as can be, and very helpful!). The issue I have, is the Vetenarian(Really hoping this isn't the vet we loved so much a year ago.) Nearly $300 dollars later we get medicine in a baggy and told our cats are too bad and too aggressive for the vet to conduct a thorough exam. When speaking with the vet on the phone I could not get a word in, it was nothing but her stating how poorly our cats behaved and how aggressive they were. My fiance got the same call that day from same vet. I had to call three times to check on my older cat, but unfortunately they couldn't get urine sample from her and apparently she was just "not wanting to pee for them". My fiance and I had to administer the antibiotic, flea meds and essentially everything else OURSELVES. I get it, a lot of people hate cats, but it shouldn't be the place you take them for care. If you have a dog I would recommend this animal hospital. If you have a cat, ask for Marcie shop elswhere. It's very frustrating, even during Covid times, to get interrupted several times and talked to over the phone like vet was in a mad rush. Please stop and listen to the customer and not interrupt on the phone. Also, if cats are too much to handle, than don't have people bring them in. Waste of money and poor service, period.

Recently moved about 30 mins away and we still make the drive to see her. The rest of the staff is great, friendly, and so helpful. Best place we have ever used for veterinary services.
