I’m a customer since 2012. Annabelle Lee loves going here, my Siberian cat.

If saving lives and caring for animals is the driving force for professionals to go into Veterinary medicine, then this place misses the mark. Saturday @ 11:10 am. One vehicle in the parking lot. I brought my 15 year old Westie who has liver cancer and hadn't eaten or drank for 24hrs, in for a quality of life check. Receptionist= Do you have an appointment? Me = No. I just need the doc to make sure my buddy isn't suffering. Receptionist = the doc is about to go home. We can see him Monday. Me = He probably won't make it till Monday and your sign says you close at 12. It's 11:10 and your parking lot is empty. Receptionist = yeeeah... so do you want me to schedule you for Monday? I said no and walked out and I'll never be back.

We LOVE this vet office! Dr.Flanagan is the best in Hardin county by our standards.

Our furbaby was spayed on a Thursday and This is how my german Shepard lab mix was left after her spay surgery. We spent well over $700 *we did get her shots and a dewormer* The first photo was about 30 hours after surgery. They did not suture her incision, they used medical glue. The first picture i s infection oozing out. Saturday morning we call heartland and sent them that exact picture. They tell us to come on in and we are there about two minutes. They clean it and give an antibiotic and send us on our ways saying it looks “completely normal”. by Saturday afternoon it was completely open and we could see her insides. We rushed to the emergency vet where they said it was severely infected and couldn’t be closed up until the infection cleared. They also tell us that if she’s even a little too active or moves the wrong way Her in sutures could rip and her organs would fall out of her body. We are devastated and heart broken. She was in an immense amount of pain this night and it was incredibly hard to process what was happening to our dog through the weekend. We call heartland on Monday to have her seen as the emergency vet told us to get her in to her original vet ASAP. The lady who answered was EXTREMELY rude and had zero empathy for my pet or me who was in tears begging for help. She said “im too short staffed and can’t help you sorry good luck.” I asked to at least drive by and have the vet simply look and tell me how to care for such a horrendous wound and she said she couldn’t help me and it wasn’t her problem because they were “too short staffed” and I could just take her elsewhere. She wouldn’t even allow me to speak with the vet to get care instructions. This is a horrible and unfortunate event and i suggest to take your pet elsewhere. Heartless heartland is not the place to go unless you want an overpriced, careless vet. Don’t let them do this to your baby .

I am sure this vet does a good job but their prices are absolutely ridiculous. They consistently charge three times as much as other local vets, and those in areas with a much higher cost of living (Chicago and NYC). We don’t have any complaints on the quality of care provided but we’ll never come here again and we definitely don’t recommend them. They are pros at nickel and diming you to death.

Front office staff are rude and the clinic is all about overcharging for unnecessary appointments just to get an office call out of people. They have no genuine concern for their clients or patients.

Some of the best people to leave your animals with.

Needs to work on customer service, one service quality needed when working in this field is empathy.

Let me start by saying I don’t know much about vets because it is my first dog, but the service seemed wildly over priced. Our dog came to get neutered and with a significant discount it was still over $350 (he is a big dog however). He also came back positive for worms and all the treatments and tests will be over $100. They discouraged us from finding cheaper over the counter medicine for him to cut costs and it just seems over-priced. On the other hand, they were easy to work with and seem to love dogs, which is a positive. Probably won’t be coming back because I can’t spend thousands of dollars a year on my dog.

They don’t care about your animals well being at all. They over charge and if your animal is sick they tell you that you have to wait weeks for an appointment or take them to an emergency vet. And when you try to talk to them they get snooty with you on the phone.

Ally is the best receptionist. I'd rather venture to say she is the Donald Trump of receptionists. She is the greatest. The absolute greatest. You know how great? Just great. So great. No one could ever compare. Just great.

Does not acknowlege at home vaccines given to pets. would rather risk the life and health of your animals than acknowlege that sone people are capable of administering basic vaccines for their animals. was told i would only be able to go through them if the revaccinated my animals. Unbelievably irresponsible for a vet clinic. please do not take your animals here for their own safety.

Everyone here is very friendly and really cares. They can be expensive at times but if you want the best care for your pets I don't think there is a better place. My dog loves staying for daycare and always comes home exhausted.

We have 4 cats, one is a kitten we recently rescued and another has feline asthma and diabetes. We brought the kitten in for her vaccines, FIV testing, and a check up to make sure she was healthy. Before I made an appointment I called to get an idea of the cost and they were very helpful in getting me a total and making sure it was affordable. Every tech. and Dr. we have dealt with since switching to this vet. has been absolutely wonderful!! They’re all so nice, helpful, and very gentle and friendly with our cats!! They always make sure to answer any questions we may have and are very thorough when giving us the information we need. You can really tell that the staff cares about your pets just as much as you do!! This is by far the best vet. we’ve been to and I highly recommend????????????????????????

Absolutely wonderful vet that I would trust with my baby's life. I took my guinea pig there today who was dying and they treated me with the upmost compassion. They made it painless for our little baby and when we got home to bury him, they had wrapped him in a little towel, taped it and the vet tech drew a heart on his blanket. Although it was a bd day for us, they made it as good as it could be! ❤️❤️

I've been using this practice for more than 10 yrs now. I have 30 cats and their needs are always addressed timely, with knowledge, and loving care. Each of the Doctors have unique medical skill and are always kind and considerate of my pets. I would highly recommend any service for your fur babies needs at Heartland Veterinary.

They are amazing. I brought my kitty in for a emergency. The doctor showed concern, kindness & took his time to see her even though he was very busy. They gave her lots of love & helped save her.

I sing their praises. They squeezed me in with an very sick kitty. Every staff member was exceptional. I have never met strangers who genuinely care so deeply for my animal. After X-rays and blood work, they discovered my cat had swallowed over 2 ft of a boot string. They did not hesitate to operate in the drop of the hat. They were transparent on the cost upfront, which, in my eyes, was extremely affordable. Throughout my kitty's 3 day stay, they kept me informed with frequent phone calls. I truly cannot say enough great things about this clinic. You have a long patient.

When we was looking around for a vet for our baby your office stood out 100% above the rest. It's been a few years and would not change. Your boarding of him is above and beyond. Thank you so much. Thor thanks you also

I wish our visit today was under different circumstances. Thank you to the doctor and staff for making an extremely painful day, putting down our baby “blue eyes” just a bit more bearable. We will forever be thankful for the care you gave him on his final day.

In the time i've had my senior dog, i've taken her to just about every vet in ETown and Radcliff. Heartland is hands down the best. With her old age, my dog has multiple conditions. The other vets said there wasn't really much they could …

I adopted a kitten from them over a year ago and Dr. Will is so very good with her. Rae Rae trusted him to take care of her. The whole staff at Heartland are all very caring of your poets and very caring with the families.
