Just wanted to send a picture of King George with his ears all healed up, Dr Smith did a excellent job. King loves coming to see everyone in the office because everyone takes such a good job of caring for him. Every we're we take him people always compliment on how good he looks and ask we're we had his ears cropped. King is with me every we're I go so he gets seen by 100 of people a day so he loves showing off his ears. Thank you Rick & Sonya Cox

Adopted a pet with Animal friends in Butler Country, they have a program that any pet you adopt with them gets a free first check up at a VCA hospital within 14 days of the adoption. I called this location as it's the closest location to my house. Call in and give them my information and pets name ect. I tell them that I'm a new patient and the lady on the phone tells me she knows as she has to enter my information as nothing is showing up in the system for me. Get my appointment for a Saturday as that works with my work schedule. We get there and we're told that we didn't fill out new patient paperwork so they won't see us and are very rude and unhelpful. (Mind you when I called to set the appointment up no one told me that I had to go online and get a page and fill it out prior to the first visit. They also send you a first visit email for things to do or to remember questions to ask the vet but nothing about this first time paperwork in that email.) So I get my appointment moved to the following Saturday as that's when they have an opening it works around my job schedule. This time we call prior to going to make sure we don't need anything else and we get told that now that it's outside of the 14 days from the adoption period the visit isn't going to be free. THANKS FOR WASTING MY TIME!!! Unhelpful and rude staff, if I wanted to wait all this time and pay to get my pet checked out I would have just taken them to my own vet office. Which I will now do and never use a VCA Hospital again.

First and last time I ever go there! Come out to get your animal and I was not allowed in. Did not see any services rendered and highly doubt any were. Took a sample off my cats nose and still have not heard back over 2 months later! They call you from inside to collect money literally holding your pet hostage!!!!!300.00 later no response back about supposed lab work. 300.00 to clean earwax supposedly. Keep your so called free bag of nothing. Never again vca, never again. This must be protocol because my mother said it was the same out in California. Don't fall for the 25.00 off, which was not applied to my only visit. I'll be going back 2-1/2 hours away to ky to see my vet. If you truely care about your pet and your pocketbook DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!

Amazing experience! Dr. Smith and Beth were incredible. They provided great information for puppy training and were very patient with our questions. Highly recommend!

The staff is amazing. They made me feel super safe about letting my dog go for a check up for their curbside care. The vet tech, Miss Debbie, was wonderful and took the time to really go over stuff with me even after the visit. The vet I talked to wasn’t as great. I’m not sure if it was the not seeing him face to face or the awkwardness of being on the phone, but it just felt very off, very rehearsed and I just wanted a allergy test to see what was up. We went over the types of treatments for allergies and possibly desensitization. I asked for a quote on the desensitization treatment since I’ve don’t it on myself before and wanted to research it first. I also said to go ahead with the test. Now, I’m not sure what other tests they might have for allergies, but apparently they do a bundle package that includes the testing and one month treatment (even though I stated that I wanted to research and budget before going ahead with the treatment). My bill came out to $605, the test was $375! It’s my bad that I can’t hear well on the phone and thought she said $65, lol. I wasn’t in there with him when he looked at my dog, but I’m guessing he didn’t do a check up probably since her gums were bleeding when we got home and he missed a large lump by her tooth. When I called and talked to the fabulous Miss Debbie, she explained the costs (said a regular test would be ($325 so the bundle was the best price) and when I asked about all of the price points and such that I asked the dr to email me, she said she hadn’t been told to. I get the world is busy, weird, and awkward, but I wanted my dog better, not to be glanced over and sold a testing/treatment kit without being told. I don’t even know if once I start, if I can continue it and I don’t want to do that to my dog. I just moved here and my usual vet is an hour away and it’s usually only $200 for the visit, chiropractic care, fecal analysis, heartworm test, and to check her kidneys. Edit 5/11/2021: I have not emailed the people. I'm not sure how stuff would have been handled nor how to start that email, but I appreciate the reply.

This is the cleanest vet's office I have ever been to. Everyone there is caring and friendly. Dr. Smith is hands down the best.

When my daughter came home with her new baby, we realized Charlie had taken a turn for the worse. Dr. Stratman saw hime within 30 minutes and made him comfortable. We are so thankful to have such caring, competent and quick care for Charlie. Thank you sooooooooo much!!

Take very good care of my dog

The staff came out to pick up my cat after I called them from the parking lot. They also wore masks & gloves, were friendly, and then returned my cat after I paid the bill.

So considerate, you can tell the staff love what they are doing.

I cannot say enough great things about this group of people! This was an emergency visit for my niece's dog who I had for the afternoon. They fit me in right away and quickly removed the stick that was stuck in her mouth. Were were on our way in a little over an hour... And that was with the dog having to be sedated! They have taken great care of our cats and we wouldn't go anywhere else!!! Thank you all so much for everything!!!

They did a great job with my puppy's surgery. They gave me a first time consultation appointment for only $25. They also gave us a $100 discount on my Jojo's surgery. Everything was included in the price as well as up to 12 follow up visits . They did a great job.

Dr. Stratman has always been there for me when my dogs are in need. His kindness, competence and compassion are why I have been a client for 30+ years. The staff here is fantastic and I should know. I’ve been there a lot recently with four dogs all presenting challenges! Keep doing what you’re doing!

They are so great with your pets

VCA College Hill is terrible I have a senior blind and disabled pup with a history of multi drug resistant infections Dr Smith has seen her for about a year. I brought her in with blood in the urine (a sign of infection). Dr Smith told me she was very sick with a thickened bladder and pus in her urine. He sent a urinalysis and culture. They charged me for a whole bunch of vaccines (she doesn’t go far) without asking. One week later (of a planned 3 week course). They are unable to tell me what antibiotics she needs despite the fact that she will run out. The office manager insists they care but the current vet will it prescribe Dr Smith’s intended course and no one will send me the results The visit was over $500 for blood in the urine- avoid

It's my first visit to this animal clinic. I found it to be very prompt and efficient with carrying for my dog's nail cutting. Especially giving service through this pandemic times we're in now. I am thinking on returning. Thanks VCA!
