As I was dropping my dog off for her evaluation, I became reluctant due to the overwhelming smell. I was then told they would introduce her to only a couple dogs at a time, since it was her first time. I checked the webcams and she had just immediately been put in with the other dogs. I felt worse every time checked the webcams and saw her, and all the other dogs, wandering around looking stressed. I checked the cameras a couple times an hour and didn’t see a single dog playing any at point. In addition to the over crowding of dogs, this place is extremely dirty and unkept. My dog came home soaked in urine. She has now had two baths and still smells like urine. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed with the condition of the facility and the care animals receive. I didn’t expect one on one time with each dog but there were far to many dogs for the two employees I saw.

Qiana did a fantastic job grooming my Shepherd/Rottie, he’s so soft and silky now, brushed, claws clipped, beautiful smile!

Dogtown is the best. My dog gets to spend the day playing with her friends instead of being confined to my house. She comes home happy and can't wait to go back in the morning. Dropping her off at Dogtown is the highlight of her day. I can check in on her when I'm on the road and that makes me sure she is in good hands.

My dog loves Dogtown. Been going for 8 years. When I need daycare or boarding I make the drive from Butler County to bring my dog to them.

It has actually been over a year since this incident but I hoped it was a one off and didn't review. I regret this now as stories have surfaced from other dogs being injured, attacked and dying at the Dogtown locations in Cincinnati. I feel implored to share. I took my 6 month old 12 pound dog to Dogtown for a day of daycare as their interview day. Up until then, he loved other dogs. I just needed a local boarder for the holidays. Less than 30 minutes into his planned 8 hour day, they called to inform me that his claw got pinched in another dog's collar and his nail was bleeding. They said it was no big deal but they wanted to let me know that they wrapped him and are keeping him in their front section with the senior dogs for the rest of the day. I asked a few times if I needed to come get him and they said I could but he was fine. So I left him. I came to get him in the evening and his paw was still wrapped and he wasn't walking on it but I assumed it was just cumbersome. I distinctly remember them saying "if you didn't let his nails get long then he won't get hurt". When I got to the car, I opened the wrap to see if the bleeding had stopped in the 7+ hours since they called. I was horrified to discover that is entire toe nail ripped out and the tip of his toe was split open from the trauma and he was still hemorrhaging blood. I had to make two trips to emergency vets with huge bills. Its been nearly two years and even though I never took him back, he still won't let strangers or other dogs near his back legs and he still has a fear of other dogs. I won't tell other people's stories, but pay attention to the reviews that report injured dogs. A close family friends' dog was left alone with dogs that out weighed her 10x and she was brutally killed and then left in a freezer overnight until the family could get there at the Erlanger location. Look elsewhere.

Have taken my dog twice and he has had a great time both times. My one problem is both times I have taken him no one can seem to get his harness on him when it is a very common dog harness. I have had to put it on him both times and both times no one had even asked to see how to put it on.

We live in Knoxville, TN. Our son travels to Columbus, OH for appointments at Nationwide Children's Hospital. On our way we drop our dog off to play at Dogtown. Our dog, Edison, loves hanging with his friends. I highly recommend Dogtown!

My dog loves to go there. Our only concerns are that the uptown cameras don't work well at times and the place can get crowded and not very clean at times. At the end of the day my dog smells like pee but is an extremely tired and happy pooch. ????

Wow... So with our time at Dog town in Cincinnati in one word to describe it is eventful. At first we loved the place until a few actions that happened. Our dog Zeke was getting groomed by one of the groomers there and was cut on his ear. A chunk of his ear was cut off and the rest had to be removed on top of that from Med Vet. I called asking for a check of what I came out of pocket for their wrong doings towards my dog. At first they gave me an extremely hard time and said "well we gave you the haircut for free since we cut him"(intending they weren't going to pay the vet bill) ,and wouldn't until I threatened legal action. The next incident was our 120 pound Golden Doodle was put in the smaller dog pin when he was getting constantly humped by a dog that was in the bigger dog general population area. This dog was constantly throwing himself on top of my dog and many others as well. Even though my dog was sitting in the corner not trying to be humped by this dog the dog continued to hump in and we have a video of it happening not getting stopped by the workers there. Though my dog was the one getting pinned down and humped he was separated from the group? Why punish the dog that wasn't doing anything wrong? When I asked why he was being separated the worker said "so would you rather haven't that dog hump small dogs?". No quite frankly I wouldn't want him pinning any other dogs there. I will say Juliana is a hard worker there as a GM but overall this place I would try to avoid. On top of these things we have to wash his paws every time he comes home because there would be urine left on the ground for the dogs to play in without being cleaned up. Thanks but no thanks. Save your money.

I couldn't have asked for a more professional and caring facility. I haven't stopped promoting Dogtown Cincinnati. I will utilize them anytime I am in town without fear. My dog is family to me and that is exactly how they treated Gideon(my dog). He had a blast.

My puppy Icy absolutely loves going to dogtown. If your dog is super dog friendly and loves meeting new dogs this is the place to be. They are super accommodating to your needs and address all your concerns. The only thing I would probably suggest is to may be have more people watching over the dogs and in case of crowding may be expand it to the second floor to prevent overcrowding and dogs getting hurt while playing with each other?

The staff at Dog Town are really nice and they showed they care for the dogs.. However please be very careful with dropping your dog off there. My dog came home with two little pieces missing out of his ear (they notified me) and he had noticeable scratches all over his body. He came back under weight (ribs showing) hungry and thirsty, which caused him to throw up and be sick. He also slept for nearly 2 days straight, didn’t want to go on walks, and wasn’t strong enough to move a lot. He wasn’t the same dog I had when I picked him up that day.. this wasn’t the case the other times he went there, he had a great time. In their defense my dog likes to play pretty hard but if the dogs were playing that rough they should’ve been separated before anything like his case could happen. I think they have too many dogs in there at once therefore they can’t actually keep an eye on what is going on. This was a traumatizing experience for the both of us.. Just make sure this place is for your dog before sending them their. (He was there for 3 nights)

We took our toy poodle here for his temperament test. It's the worst thing we ever did to him. We watched him on camera stand off to the side with his tail tucked the entire time. No Dogtown employee that walked in the area ever engaged him or checked on him. We ended up picking him up early cause it broke my heart seeing how miserable he was. When we picked him up, they were saying how sweet he was & how well he did. So they lie to get your money. I would never recommend this place. If I could give zero stars, I would

I (and probably more importantly my dog) love Dogtown Cincinnati (Uptown)! The staff takes so much care of my dog and she loves being able to run all day. They pay special attention to each pet's needs and it's honestly such a relief to drop my dog off somewhere I can check in on her via webcam, but know she loves the place so much I don't really worry! They have great grooming on-site and their staff is incredibly sweet. Especially during this pandemic, they have kept smiles on their faces and haven't skipped a beat in customer service. We love Dogtown!

We couldn’t be happier with Dogtown! They put us at ease when traveling. Our pup Milo loves the staff and gets along great with all the other dogs. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. The facility is very clean and the cameras are a bonus! I highly recommend Dogtown!!
