I took my pet Guinea Pig to this clinic to see Dr Werwa via a referral from another animal clinic in the area. I read reviews and was very impressed with the willingness to see him right away because he was wheezing. He was taken to the back room for evaluation & then Dr. Werwa came in to tell me what was going on. He seemed knowledgeable & was very nice. He told while he was in the back he gave him a shot of antibiotics called Convenia. He told me it isn’t made for use in Guinea Pigs and it’s made for cats & dogs. He said he uses many things for off label use & said it should help him. After two days, my pet became extremely ill. He was not eating, drinking & became very lethargic. I did research online and saw that it absolutely should not be used in Guinea pigs. I also read multiple forums where people whose Guinea Pigs received this shot got extremely I’ll or passed away. I have now taken him to two other vets who both have said it is not suitable for Guinea Pigs & can cause all of the things he is going through. It can cause major issues to their GI tract. I actually now have him in a 24 care clinic all the way in Columbus for round the clock care so he can receive IV fluids & medications to help him. He may not make it. I am writing this review to hopefully prevent someone else’s pet from getting sick from this medication. What I thought was going to help him, ended up hurting him. I had trusted the clinic & vet but I am just so disappointed.

Love the staff and especially appreciate the Vet. Dr. Werner has cared for our pets for 10 years and is both professional and caring.

Dr. Werwa has taken the best care of our birds, and I cannot imagine taking them to a different vet. The whole staff is wonderful.

I wouldn’t know how the care team is but receptionist was less than stellar. I have a new to me bird that had an emergency. I called and was asked if I was an existing client, well of course I’m not. Then I was told if I could drop my bird off in the window of time, I could do that and they could fit her in. I explained that I was an hour away and that I probably wouldn’t make it. She wished me luck and hung up on me. I don’t care if the Dr. is the best in the area, the receptionist showed no compassion or concern for someone that was in a position that they had never experienced before. When you get a bird it’s extremely hard to find a great experienced Avian Vet. I will never call or visit this office based on the phone call.

Everytime I take my dogs here I feel like they are a part of the family and love and care about my pups as much as me!

Dr Werwa is fantastic. He is thorough and treats your pets as his own. He definitely knows what he's doing and very professional. His staff (Jamie) are full of smiles and also excellent at answering questions and helping you better understand what is going on. This is a great place to take reptiles, it really shows that he is an expert in diagnosing and treating them. I'm very glad I was referred to him. I will not take my reptiles to anyone else.

The staff and Dr. Werwa here collaborated with the students at UC Medical School on a microscope parasitology lab, and they were super helpful and enthusiastic about helping us. I would trust them with any pet or animal!

Cincinnati Animal Medical Center (CAMC) is a small business that hasn’t sold out to larger “cookie cutter” corporations that don’t provide the same level of quality, experience, knowledge, and care that CAMC delivers. I feel truly lucky to have found such wonderful doctors that I can count on. Not only do they ensure that my dogs are getting the best preventative care, but they also provide me with the comfort of knowing that if my four-legged family members experience any problem big or small, Dr. Jeff and Dr. Clem will take prompt action to deliver quality service. At CAMC I can rest assured that my dogs are in the best possible veterinary practice in the greater Cincinnati area.

I would not even consider taking my pets anywhere but this joint. The staff is absolutely awesome and the Doctors are the freakin best. Very, very good people. They treat me and my pets like family. Highly recommend this practice. Thank you guys!!!!

Best Vet in the city hands down

Hands down the best vet office in the city. Dr. Clem and Werwa are great vets who are honest and truly care. Wish I could give more than 5 stars. You will not find a better vet office.

Dr. Werwa and the staff here are very nice, inviting and friendly! We took our blue parakeet, Aries, here for an "almost 1 yr old" wellness check. Dr. Werwa was very knowledgeable about birds and has a close relationship with the breeder we purchased Aries from. The cost of the visit was also very fair and competitive. We will definitely continue using this Vet for any of Aries' needs in the future ????????????

This is hands down in all my years of owning dogs, the VERY best group of doctors and staff. They take AMAZING care of my Gracie Lou every time I need to take her. From just clipping nails to immediate medical care ...BEST EVER. If you are local and reading this for recomendation highly recommend .

Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our oldest cat. Fortunately, Dr. Clem and her staff were absolutely amazing. They were able to see us when our normal vet was unable to. Dr. Clem was very compassionate and supportive through this tough time. I would recommend Cincinnati Medical Center to everyone.

Dr Werwa is bar-none the BEST animal doc/ surgeon. I've ever known. Been taking our family's pets to him for almost 20 years. He genuinely cares for every pet he treats. Even his staff members are a class act. It's a one of a kind office, and the prices are not more expensive than any other office, actually lower than some local veterinary clinics. Quick story- a long time ago my rottweiler jumped out of my jeep and attacked a black lab as we parked in the vet parking lot. I was 8 months pregnant and stunned and scared. Dr Werwa came running out of the office and right into the middle of this dog fight. He picked up the other dog and ran him into the office. He didn't hesitate. He likely saved both dogs' lives that day.
