Absolutely loved the facility. Everyone was extremely helpful and took wonderful care of our pup.

My puppy loved coming here and I was extremely happy with the service, until I wasn't informed of an incident that lead to a minor surgery. This company did end up paying for the vet bill after I informed them of what they missed, because it is stated in their policy. But considering the fact that my puppy is a dramatic half husky, I am confused on how they missed her getting nipped by another dog (that created a hole that needed to be stitched). I understand that accidents happen, but the fact that the company was unaware didn't sit right with me. This happened on her third day at the daycare.

We were so nervous leaving our anxious dog! They took care of our girl! So grateful to have found The Dog Den.

I didn’t have a good experience with the male worker! He was very rude! If I never go back he will be why! I came to the area for a college visit and found this place on Google the night before, I was happy I could get in; however, when I called the morning of the man on the phone was very rude. I got there and took my puppy inside and he didn’t welcome us in we waited till he looked up from the computer and then we said, “We are here with our pup for daycare for the day.” He told us to hold her while he took her picture (I’m guessing for a profile wasn’t told) and said ok now take everything off milo and I corrected hun (my dogs is a girl and not named milo). He asked us to pay (I did). Then he said ok now answer these questions and ran through then very fast and very judgmentally with my answers. I said, “will she be fed?” He said, “we won’t feed her don’t leave anything.” (She was staying 9-4 and eats lunch) “I said no sir she needs fed” and he rolled his eyes and said ok you have to have a portioned bag. I said can I have a smaller bag then and was told to step aside for now. He started to happily help the next person even showing them around the place unlike we were treated. The female groom noticed us and said she can take the food and she can take her toy (for anxiety in new places). We were about to leave when he yelled “Thats not what I wanted! That’s not what I wanted!!” We stopped to see who he was talking to. Then he went back got her food and toy. He SLAMMED them on the table said here’s a bag and you can take this thing home with you! I put food in the bag and handed it over and left. I was no comfortable going there with than man and we guess that he was judging us thinking we were young. We picked her up and it was the opposite as a college student aged girl created us and told us about how Willow was all day. She was put in crate with another dog which we didn’t know would happen but she explained it was because they were both new and had some anxiety.

My pups love going to the Dog Den! Staff are great with the dogs. The facility is clean and spacious. They can't wait to get there and sometimes don't want to leave! They are two tired pups at the end of the day.

Charly (6 mo old Golden) has stayed at The Dog Den for a weekend twice and each time has gone willingly and come home acting completely normal. We appreciate the service!

Bentley loves the time he spends at The Dog Den. He plays with other dogs, is well cared for, gets to nap when he wants to and is is well monitored when he is boarded.

We dropped our baby Choppa off for one night. We were referred by a coworker.Everyone was so sweet to him and they even trimmed his nails( we asked if they could)Typically, he is very sad after he gets his nails trimmed but, they had the magic touch. The dog den was superb. They were so organized, clean, spacious, reasonably priced and more...They truly care about your dog. We are so thankful to have found them and highly recommend to anyone looking for boarding or daycare. They are the best in the champaign urbana area. Choppa will definitely be back. He is so exhausted from all the playing , he might sleep for days. Thank you again to all the amazing staff at the Dog den.We are grateful for all you do to keep our dogs happy!

I can wholeheartedly recommend the dog den. I've never seen a dog facility that combines excellence in so many areas of dog care for the price that it does. Their facility is extremely spacious and well-equipped, they have outdoor space, the owner and staff are very engaged and knowledgeable, they accommodate dog needs and do great work with putting them into the right group given their personalities, and most importantly: the dogs clearly love it there and have a ton of fun. Once we're in the car and our dog knows we're heading towards the dog den, he gets all wiggly and can't wait to enter the building when we leave the car. And when we enter, he doesn't look back at us to say bye: all he wants is to be let into the boarding room and say hi to his pals and the staff members. When we pick him up, we always see a bunch of dogs who enjoy themselves and are clearly having the time of their lives. I think Champaign is lucky to have an institution such as this one!

My dog Nena is DIFFICULT. My previous boarding location had to tie her kennel shut because she would manage to escape. Ken is great with her.

My pups absolutely love going here. I will not use another place for my babies. I pick my dogs up and they are excited to see but always go running back to the staff for loves.

We needed a last minute place to board Jasper and the Dog Den was happy to take him. Check in and pick up went very well and when Jasper came out he seemed very happy.

Our Shiba has been to several different daycares both in Illinois and Ontario. We have been coming to the dog den for the past couple of months. And this is by far the happiest and excited that we've ever seen him. The owner is awesome and the prices are reasonable so there is that too!

The Dog Den is great! I moved to Champaign back in November and need to find a daycare for Bentley to go to during the week while I’m at work! He absolutely loves it here. He’s a momma’s boy but it’s hard to get him to leave when I come to pick him up! I would recommend this place to any dog owner looking for a place to care for their fur baby!

Our dog Nyx loves playing with other dogs, so the Dog Den is great for her. She gets super excited when we start driving in the direction of the dog den and always runs straight to the door when we let her out of the car. She clearly has a great time, and at the end of a visit it's clear the folks at the Dog Den have taken good care of her. Of course, she's always happy to see us but exhausted when she gets home (either from a brief day care or from a few days boarding), which tells me she had a good time. The only downside is a lack of outdoor space (at home she has constant access to our back yard), but she doesn't seem to mind at all. Great online reservation system, super organized folks, reasonable rates, and a happy dog.

My Boston terrier loves the kind and friendly staff at the Dog Den and his playtime with other dogs there, whether he is going for day care or boarding. He comes home happy and tired, which is saying a lot for this high octane little dog, and always in good condition.

I just picked up my Pup, Opal up from her first daycare visit to the dog den, and she seemed to love it. When they brought her to the front, she said hi to me and attempted to run back into the play area! The staff were very friendly and had clearly invested some time getting to know my pup. Opal will definitely be visiting again soon!

Great place. They take care of my two dogs and know them by name. My boys get excited every time they are boarded and can't get inside fast enough. The owner and staff are knowledgeable and attentive, they also post pics on Facebook. By far the best boarding facility in town.

I'm so glad I found this great dog boarding place! I love their format that the dogs are playing in groups almost all day! And not just trapped in a cage like some boarding places!

We can't say enough good things about the Dog Den. Our dog Digby LOVES this place, often times not wanting to come home after a day of play group. The facilities are clean, the staff is kind and professional (Ken and Aly, who we interact with are outstanding---Aly even made Digby a birthday card when he turned one year old recently). The dogs are in supervised playgroup most of the day, i.e., not just stuck in kennels. The website, like the staff, is slick and easy to work with. Absolutely highest recommendation.

Sparky had fun with other dogs during his two day board. Will use The Dog Den again in future.

Dirt and fur around the perimeters of the facility with only main walkways regularly mopped. Overwhelming stench of urine upon entering the boarding room. Ripped plastic and blankets were left on the floor. Fur, dirt and hair were blowing toward kennels from fans that were peed into by two dogs. One or two staff member ratio to ten to forty dogs. Owner assigns one or two staff to supervise dogs and mop pee and the other to clean the all the kennels and boarding room walkways, as well as sometimes prepare the dogs' meals and medication. He stated in a letter after 1.5 weeks of "training" that he would fire an employee the next week if dog's meals/meds were not completed under two minutes each, calling him "slow" and "confused". A few dogs were injured from recent fights in group. Animals (that are sometimes sick) and all the food/medicine were handled without gloves. Manager is previously reviewed online as unfriendly. He threatened a comment of libel to a reviewer who he ignored when she tried to come for a scheduled interview. He is mentioned online as "self taught" but did not advise the basics of dog training commands, such as sit or lie down. Employee roles were assigned verbally. He immediately threatened in a private text lawsuit about this review to the low-income person with disabilities that had been disclosed in his cover letter. This action would be petty and cost more than earn as the person is low-income and documented as disabled. Someone who hires a low-income person with disabilities stated in a cover letter, threatens to fire him a week later in a letter after verbally humiliating him and making him stand silently in front in front of a customer silently for ten minutes over an extra bowl he himself put on a table in front of the employee, (merely pointing to it with a finger before walking away), and then immediately threatens to sue him for an online Google review. Of course, like most people who love dogs, this employee not be petty. He would take down said reviews if offered a written apology stating how this person behaved was wrong and for failing to read through a cover letter stating disability. He would also recommend apologizing to past and present employees.
