Best Friends Pet Hotel Carmel, Indiana

What a great facility for day camp. My dog frequented Best Friends for day camp on numerous occasions and always loved it. He so looked forward to going to day camp and was never ready to come home. The staff are professional, kind, flexible and always willing to listen and help you.

They always take great care of my doggo! Their groomer is also amazing!

They extra charged you for not reason! This place is a joke, they just hired kids at the front desk and they don’t even know what they are doing. I just received a charged for $560 and my bill it supposed to be be just $288! Rene who put me on hold for 10 minutes after she admitted her mistake! They just make me wait until it was time to closed after 6 and never get back to me. I been a customer for over two years and I never received this poor service and I would like to get this resolved as soon as possible. Miguel Mendoza

I can't really speak for how the boarding went other than I didn't get any phone calls, but the staff is great, helpful, and made drop-off and pickup so easy. The only thing is that I paid 80 dollars to have my dog groomed, and it doesn't look like they did anything but give him a bath, which should be included after playing with a bunch of dogs for a week and playing outside. Boarding here went great as for the groomers, not so much.

Some guy answers the phone & had Horrible customer service! I will never bring my dog here again. I would always bring my dog here but this new ownership is horrible. I miss the old owner , she was great! They need to screen better for professionalism & customer service next time !

Great place to board for price and availability. Get the bath before coming home for your pup. They will smell like a boxcar hobo otherwise and the bath package has better options for pickup on that last day. Always use a Groupon.

This place is a doggy oasis in the middle of Carmel. My dogs can’t wait to get out of the car when we pull up to it! Highly recommend!

I’d HIGHLY reconsider bringing your dog here...unfortunately I made the mistake when my regular daycare was full. Come to find out they had locked my dog in his kennel and didnt tell me about it. I had to find out while looking at the dog cameras that my dog wasn’t out, for multiple days. When I called they couldn’t even tell me why he was in there...I called back and finally they said he’s been “extremely aggressive”. I had to have a friend pick my dog up before my vacation ended because it was so awful. The day I got home I brought him to his usually dog daycare and asked for a progress report from them and they said he had been wonderful... Take your dog to Club Canine instead ...

My dog loves the place but I can never get ahold of staff whether by phone, email, or website. Many times I’ve called, left a message, and never hear back. When booking online, its to see if a time is available, and staff is supposed to reach out to confirm, but they never do.

First time with for our boxer at daycare. The staff was very friendly and did a great job of keeping us updated. We will definitely be using their daycare and boarding services again!

Do NOT bring your pet here anymore! We had good luck a few times before, but today after dropping our dog off for grooming and a play day with the other dogs, when we picked her up we found out she did not get groomed, and very likely spent all day in her cage. They did not even know she was there! I had to go in to get her as she was so scared of the handler. Our dog has always been very friendly and happy to see people. When I saw her she was shivering in a corner. When we got home she drank two full bowls of water, making me suspect they didn't even give her water all day. Now we are likely going to have to deal with groomer anxiety with our dog. This place should not be trusted with animals.

We picked up our dog today after dropping her off at 9am for grooming and a puppy play group. When we picked her up at 5pm, they didn't know that we had even dropped off a dog or could find a record of her being there. Then they said I didn't have to pay anything. Why? Because I was a first time client. I wasn't a first time client, they just lost my records. Then they finally found my dog who wasn't groomed because the groomer quit and was cowering in a corner of her pen because she hadn't been let out for 8hrs or given water. They tried to excuse my pets neglect due to new management. If you have animals at Best Friends Pet Hotel, go get them now.

Only place we leave our dog at when we go out of town. Groomers and staff are really nice. Our dog lovers this place. She perks up in the car when we turn into Gradle street.

I left my dog with them while I was on vacation and he escaped the outside play area because there was a weakness in the fence. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan grabbed my pup a couple of miles away and called my number on his collar. The kennel hadn’t called me to let me know he was missing. So at least I guess I knew he was found before I knew he was lost. But I was 6 states away. Luckily the person waited with my dog while we contacted the kennel and they went to get my dog back from his rescuer. I want to say that I really didn’t want to write this review. The staff cared and were clearly distraught and did the best they could. And this is not coming from a place of anger.I struggled for weeks as to whether or not I wanted to write this. But the bottom line is that I paid them to keep my dog safe and they failed. They should have comped us for his entire stay but only offered a 25% discount for LOSING OUR DOG. This again as not the fault of the staff. They care about the dogs and helped to get ours back. The weakness in the fence is because the owner doesn’t pay for upkeep and it was the owner who offered us the discount.

I've been meaning to leave this review for nearly a year now, and I'm still so incredibly grateful for the Best Friends Pet Hotel team that I have to make sure I leave one now. I had my baby Daisy (Pit/Lab mix) stay at the hotel for a week while I was out of state from Dec 26th-Jan 3rd this year. She gets so anxious to be separated from me and she loves people, so I appreciated the add on options for one on one cuddle time and story book bedtimes. Unfortunately near the end of her stay Daisy started to have issues that they noticed and informed me of quickly. They continued to monitor her closely and when she didn't show signs of getting better they asked for my permission to take her to emergency care. Of course I gave my permission, but I was also getting on a plane and wouldn't be able to get any updates for 4 hours. It was extremely stressful! But they had a worker from the Hotel stay with her throughout check-in and evaluation at the clinic. They comforted my Daisy and stayed with her. I am blown away by their commitment and HIGHLY recommend them! Turns out Daisy had pancreatitis, which we were able to get under control and she has been perfect ever since. <3 I wish we didn't live so far from Best Friends now or I would be using their doggy daycare services. If you want genuine caring people looking after your fur babies, this is the place!

I drop off my GSD once a month, just for a few hours - no expectations, but to keep him safe, knowing he can sit outside. Nestled in downtown Carmel, this kennel is always clean and the staff always friendly. Every time we go in, I am pleasantly surprised when not only they know him by name, but the reception and the time played with him is above and beyond. The action shot pictures are always fun!

Best Friends took such good care of our aging blind golden with bad hips who needed a haircut :-) They said they took several breaks to accommodate her since she was struggling to stand for long periods of time. The groomer was very nice.

Cindy and Maggie were so helpful with my dog. He has a few special needs but they put me at ease and assured me they could handle it. Picked him up and he was a very happy boy. I’m so thankful they could accommodate and did it with a smile. Very grateful, we will definitely be coming back.

We have been going to Best Friends Pet Hotel for over 15 years for grooming, day camp and overnight stays. All my dog have loved going there. They take care of my dogs like they are their own. My dogs can't wait to get out of the car and see all their friends.

We always take our dog here when we go out of town. Never had issues. Good place. Was recommended by a friend. I like that they give outdoor time, unlike the P*tSm@#t locations, where does are kept indoors all the time

I’ve been taking my Rescued dog, Lil’ Baby Sasha, to Best Friends Carmel Day Camp for 5 years now. All of the staff are wonderful. Special shout-out to Cindy, Maggie, Connie the Groomer, and especially Lauren who has developed a real connection to Sasha over the years. They love and take such good care of her. Sasha loses her Puppy mind every time we pull in the parking lot and that is EVERYTHING. Thank you BF-C for everything you do. It is appreciated.

The staff are amazing! I used my free dog day camp today. My dog(Pyper) had a wonderful time. I love that they have cameras so your able to watch your dog throughout the day. They really wore her out. I will be looking into the grooming services and we will defintely be back for day camp. Thank you so much Lauren!

Horrible experience with this place . We picked up our dog from grooming, only to get home and find blood all over our car. They cut multiple nails way too short . They were also more expensive than the other 3 groomers we have used in the area .
