Caring, helpful, and thorough vets that helped care for my dog and cats for years, and helped with both their end of life needs in their old age.

While MCHA offers excellent services at reasonable prices, their hours make it incredibly difficult to schedule a check up if you work a job during the day on weekdays (especially 9-5). I've loved MCHA's low cost vaccine clinics in the past, but unfortunately the benefits (low cost, good quality care) of their services are undermined by their inaccessible hours. I hope MCHA will begin accounting for this in the future, as it stands only those who can afford to take time off in the week can access these services.

I had to have my beloved 17-year-old dog put to sleep today. I’m so grateful to the incredibly kind and sensitive staff at Monroe County Humane Association. Everyone, from the people at the front desk, to the vet assistants, to Dr. Sarah Nickel, treated my dog and me with the utmost empathy, respect and dignity. Everyone was so compassionate. What a comfort that was on one of the worst days of my life.I have had animals and dealt with various veterinarians for over 50 years, and I highly recommend MCHA based on my experience with them today. MCHA is the absolute best! My dog Baby Girl had blood in her stool which would alarm any fur parent. I went to Bloomington Paws they weren't very helpful they seemed too busy to even stop to talk to me. Arlington was extremely busy and booked until October , and Pets Alive couldn't provide me with the service I needed at that facility. The nice reception did inform me to contact MCHA. Thank God I did! I called MCHA and spoke to a lovely woman by the name of Karen! Karen was extremely busy at her clinic and didn't have any open spots available until October, however that didn't stop Karen from helping me. Karen was the 1st person to ask me my dogs name and her symptoms! Karen invited Baby Girl and I to the facility were she gave me awesome advice on how to care for my dog until an appointment became available. Karen also gave me some donated items for baby Girl. Karen, words can not express how God sent you are! Thank you for caring enough to even listen to my concerns. You really showed me the company core values at Monroe County Humane Association. Thank you MCHA for treating me like a person!!! Your definitely getting and xmas gift from Baby Girl and I, MCHA IS THE BEST!!!!

Excellent. Having to put your dog down is difficult enough, but Rebecca and her staff are true professionals that made it so much better to deal with.

Goat yoga at MCHA. Lots of fun. Friendly staff, friendly goats too! Our yoga instructor was very knowledgeable and easy to follow. Loved it!

AWESOME PLACE FOR YOUR PETS TO GO IF THEY SICK OR WORSE. THE STAFF IS SO AWESOME THERE.

I took my puppy here and first experience they said they couldn’t clip his nails. Then when I asked the lady about it she said if he is not well behaved we can’t do it. We left and went to pet smart and they did it with no issues. I called 3 days ago about my sick dog who has lost 20lbs, refusing to eat and limping and they can’t get him in for 2 months. Told me they would call me back when talk to vet and never did. I called today and spoke with a hateful, unprofessional receptionist who told me to take him somewhere else. Actually said “what you can’t take him somewhere else” I told her I would never even have my dog at this low budget of a place if I had the money to take him else where.

Very helpful... Nice, loving ppl who took care of my puppy who had gone through a very traumatic experience that morning ... Would recommend that the lady get a raise for being so helpful with me n my puppy... Thanks a lot...

I brought my mom to find her a furry companion. These folks are great. We set up a time to come in and they were ready for us. We got to meet several companions looking for a furever home. We settled on an older orange dog who lost her human back in January. It's neat to watch these two train each other and give one another a purpose. Thanks fur doing all you do for these companions.

I made an appointment with MCHA assuming it would cost $50 as it said on their website. I was able to make the appointment for my dog to be seen with the $50 package I requested. Upon arriving for my appointment, I was told I did not qualify for the package even though I was previously scheduled for it and there was no info online regarding "qualifications". So now my bill is $105. I add a heart worm test for $8, totaling $113. In my package I previously asked for I wanted my dogs nails trimmed as he is not fond of having it done. I received a call while my dog was still inside so I could be informed that my dog 'is anxious about nail trimming', 'we fed him two hot dogs to get it done', 'it is not the best job, and we went for small successes today', and also 'you should send your dog to training to work on his anxieties'. I have attached photos of my dogs nails, and I still had to pay for the service. When I was checking out, I was told my total was now $135 because they gave him a topical flea treatment I neither asked for nor consented to paying for it. I will NOT be back to MCHA as this situation was very much bait and switch for me and I am not happy with the services my dog received.

Have been going to this place for two years now! Staff is very helpful and I have always found them treat my babies very genuinely. They do not have a very business like approach which is what I love best about thus place. They seem to genuinely care. They have often sent me home with free food or treats for my pets!

They were so very kind and caring they gave me a call just to see how little Foxy was doing
