Animals look to be sick and scared and in tiny cages w feces everywhere and no beds or blankets. The store smells and its dirty and dingy. I feel sorry for all the animals here.

Pets are kept in appalling conditions, tiny, stuffed, cramped cages. Many of the puppies have watering eyes and are lethargic, clearly needing medical attention. These are puppy mills at their finest. Don't patronize this business.

Puppy mill pups. The conditions the pets are in are terrible. Tiny cages with grated floors. Shut em down.

I've been inside here a few times to look around at pet toys and gear. Unfortunately the place is full of neglected and abused animals. The puppies look physically distressed and traumatized. There is a huge ethical problem with breeding dogs and cats for retail sale. Support Bloomington City Ordinance 21-45 to ban the retail sale of dogs and cats. There is simply no place for puppy mills and the cruelty that they bring here.

There’s an employee here right now, didn’t get his name he was bald though- he had a horrible attitude and you could tell he didn’t treat those dogs right at all. i can’t imagine how he treats them when no one else is around. all of the dogs in this store look so sad and miserable. they seem so desperate to be taken home. some of the dogs even acted afraid of this employee. they’re puppy mill dogs and i rlly don’t see how this place is still open. if i could give 0 stars i would.

They have such precious puppies. If I was able to I would take them all home! Prices are kind of expensive..

I didn’t think overt puppy mill stores were still legal. Absolute disgrace.

This pet shop was very disappointing. I did not get a puppy here so I can speak into that but I can say that I will not revisit this shop for the purpose of seeing and playing with cute puppies. Sure the puppies were cute but the cages they are in, how they get water, how much food they appear to get, and some other things does not make this pet shop a happy place to be. I took my wife here to cheer her up as she loves puppies but man I wish I would have done my research. We left that place and she was crying because of the state that those puppies are in. Again I can not speak to what the process of getting a puppy is like but if you want to leave a puppy shop happier than you left, especially if you are a strong empathizer, do not visit this shop.

Nothing but puppy mill puppies ... most of them are sickly looking and extremely overpriced.... awful experience there every time we’ve went.. pls go adopt or buy from RELIABLE breeders . Those animals don’t deserve that!!

They lure people in the store by showing the miserableness that the dogs are going through and by making you feel guilty for how bad the conditions are. Absolutely disgusting, needs to be shut down.

This place is horrible. Pets in dirty kennels no food or water down for them. One pup had dried gunk in it's eyes and no one tending to the pup. This is no way for anything to be treated especially little pups. Please someone shut this place down.

Do not come here, the cages are too small , the pets are underfead. The dog I purchased today has fleas . LITERAL FLEAS . They had lied to me and told me they didn’t . DONT BUY FROM HERE EVER.

It's a pet shop, I'm not a huge fan of shops. It was very clean and the staff was super friendly.

Good luck on getting a healthy puppy from here. Should’ve listened to my friends but couldn’t resist when a cutie looking at me like that. *They do give a guarantee on health. I’m not sure if you can exchange for a new pup or not, but I couldn’t afford to lose mine after months of everyday accompanying. I’ve raised several pups and they all grown up healthy.(Golden retriever, golden doodle, American Eskimo) This is my first and would be my last pup from Anthony’s. My Alaskan “Malamute” puppy had been eating Orijen, Ziwi and raw food ever since bringing it home. We bring her outside every day for 2hr+ with as much as sunshine possible and to stay active. However, she had left ear folding, shaking legs until we decided to give extra calcium powder. At first I thought it’s only a puppy thing, maybe this breed does require more than average when growing size. But no, has been more than two years and still can’t quit the calcium powder. As for the “Malamute” part, she looks more like a husky and that’s not just my own opinion. Most people at dog park and pet shop recognize her as a husky with a few asking if she’s a malamute, only because she looks a bit different from a husky. I’m not really concerned about that but just so that you’re aware when going for a specific breed. I’m guessing the shop might be buying unhealthy pup in purpose as I’ve heard many cases already. But hope they are not doing this anymore if they had been doing that for more profits.

They let us hang out with the Aussies today, and they answered about all of the questions we had. We even got the breeder's number. The puppies are very very cute. I hope within the next week someone adopts them both because otherwise they might have bad separation anxiety. The male puppy was bleeding a lot in the paw (had his nails trimmed) but they took care of him when we left. He was very playful lol. The female is very sweet and lovey, she wanted to be held and give kisses. She was a lot calmer than the male and very vocal.

How is this place still opened? These puppies look so underfed and are very shaky when you hold them because they seem so frightened! Makes me wonder how the owner really treats the pets. ???? Overpriced pets that are not properly taken care of and will die in less than a year. How has Bloomington mall not forced them to close yet? ????

Man if I could give this place 0 stars I would. These pups are so incredibly mistreated. They are all lethargic from lack of proper nutrition and sunlight. They’re not the right weights for their ages due to this lack of nutrition as well. Many health problems arise once they get older. Very disgusted by this store

It's a very sad store with puppies on top of cage bottoms. They have to poop through the cages they said on. You can tell most of them are puppy mill puppies. Please go to a local animal shelter instead.

Excellent service. Very clean store! Fast response time and the owner even followed up with me after we brought our new baby home. I could tell he really loves the animals! We love our new baby so much!

Bought a pup from here without doing research, they do not care for the animals here. They are heavily underfed and stored in very cramped spaces after hours. Buying an animal from here will cost you way more as they will come with underlying health conditions.

Do not go here if you want a pet rat or any small cage animal. Just got a rat today and bought the biggest one out of the bunch as it looked the healthiest. The second the tub of rats was brought out for me to pick one out, it smelled awful and looked like no one cleans out the bottom part ever. Brought the rat home thinking I was gonna have her for the next 2 to 3 years and she died within 5 hours of being at my home. She played with our rat we currently have whom is healthy and from a safer place and died right before going to bed. Luckily our other rat is alright, but very sad to have been with her (the new one) for just a few hours and she dies.
