The love that they have for all animals is outstanding. The whole team loves each one of your animals as if they are their own. I highly recommend VCA Northwood to everyone.

We had to put our furry family member down a couple days ago which completely crushed us. The staff was very kind and compassionate...the receptionist especially...thank you.

We had to put our cat and fur baby SoySauce down today it was super hard. And I thought we were done when I left building but no we received text and phone call saying that we still owe money for his cremation. This is in the same day of putting him down. Thanks for making us feel like dollar signs in our time of pain. This fur ball will be missed but your building was just over all bad news today.

I want to thank them very much for taking care of my puppy. I walked in there after my puppy had a allergic reaction to shots and they took her immediately and saved her life and im very very impressed with how quick they took care of Grace. Thank you everyone at Northwood

Wanted to thank you guys so much. Our puppy Lilly contacted parvo and unfortunately we had to treat from home. But VCA helped her get through it and come out the other side. Thank you guys so much

I’ve already been to VCA is fishers which was a terrible awful experience stole medication and my dog ended up passing they didn’t even help him. Fast forward we had our new 3 month old pup break his leg and they charged us 800 for a splint, which now I’ve been calling for 2 days about getting our X-rays sent to a new vet we’ve encountered and the vet got told they didn’t take X-rays although I was charged for X-rays and told what bones were broke in my dogs paw how would they know that if X-rays weren’t taken? Been told 2 times I would get called back and no one ever calls. I’m tired of this whole VCA corporation! It is complete and total trash. All they care about is money!

I called to get my dog in because she got out and she got injured I was told that they could not see her until Saturday because of it being an emergency basis then I was made aware that I had a bill that was not paid that I had no idea I had because my last visit they took my credit card number and said my bill would be charged and no one charged it so the lady was very rude because I had an outstanding balance which I told her I can pay right then then she continued to be little me by the way she was talking to me then told me I would have to come back another day to pay my balance because she was not going to take my payment after I asked her if I can pay now and she said yes but then when I asked if there was someone else I can speak to because of her attitude she told me I can call back another day and make my payment and hung up on me very unprofessional very rude and this was not the first time that we’ve been there this woman thinks she’s high almighty and treat customers as if they are below her and then wants to use the excuse that were yelling How are we going to be yelling if we’re trying to get our dog help I don’t get it very rude

Today my dog injured herself and appeared to be hurt pretty badly so I quickly had to make some phone calls and get her to an animal hospital. This place was the only place I called who was able to see her today. When I initially called them I was told I would be charged a fee of 90 something dollars if I got her there before 6 pm and 134 if I got her there after six. I was also told something about animals being seen based on priority and severity of the situation... Well, I live about 30 minutes away and was able to get my dog there before 5:30. Before 6 o’clock she was taken into the facility and we had to sit in the car outside and wait. Long story short, I was understandably put on the back burner and received my dog by about 9 pm with the fee of $134.00 listed on my bill. I immediately called them to talk to them about my charge and was told I was misinformed. This was pretty disappointing considering I didn’t even see a detailed bill until after I had already paid. Talk about being taken advantage of in your time of need. They probably didn’t care whether I returned or not after they realized my pockets weren’t lined.

We had to put our princess Gretel down 12 days ago, it was totally devastating. While the experience was about as decent as this kind of thing can be, I received a condolence card today and, THEY MISSPELLED HER NAME!! $400 to kill my dog and they can’t be bothered to spellcheck?! Incredible!

If it hadn’t of been for this place my sweet Hattie girl dog would have died from Bloat. I can’t thank them enough for going the extra mile to save her. Y’all are absolutely the best! D’Ann Gaukel June-2021

After hour care is need based. So unless your animal is literally on their death bed they will continually get pushed back. I'm talking hours long wait if you even get seen if they are busy. Like every other vet or doctor it's impossible to get a regular appoint anytime in the near future. So if you need urgent care that's not a life or death situation you are out of luck. I don't know of and we desperately need an urgent care pet center that is for non life threatening injuries that doesn't do appointments. Like a people urgent care

Terrible place with no since of urgency and kept us waiting an hour to see hour cat then tried telling us we were going to have to wait another 3 hours before they could get to her. It was us and one other car in the parking lot.

A couple weeks ago my husband and I had to make the hardest decision of our lives. It was time to say goodbye to our precious 4 legged baby. Northwood staff were wonderful. They treated us and Roxie with respect and compassion. They took care of the cremation for us and gave us time to grieve. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone with a sick pet.

$142.00 to find out dog has a temperature. They want $650 more to run blood and kidney/urine test before prescribing antibiotic. Money money money. Find another Vet. One that cares about your pet, not there next Mercedes payment

I took my baby BellaSue here for an emergency, they were very compassionate. Not only to me, but those around me. They were fair and honest in pricing, they explained everything in detail. I am truly grateful, and because of that. They have earned a pet family for life.

If I could give them a million stars I would. This is the second time this year I have had to bring my dog here. Yesterday, it was for hornet stings that my dog and I both got. I took Willow here and they got her right in. Then Dr. Goad called me and told me they would take care of my baby but that I needed to go get checked. Ended up in the ER most of the afternoon with a serve allergic reaction. Dr. Goad called while I was in the ER to let me know Willow was doing great and then asked how I was! They even offered to keep her overnight if needed at no charge. When I finally got to go get here, everyone was so nice and Dr.Goad now only came out to let me know about Willow, but also sincerely asked how I was. I would recommend this hospital to anyone. And thankfully, Willow is doing great today! I still have a few days left to recover, but like most pet owners, I was way more concerned about Willow!

On 5-23-2020 my baby Kela had to be rushed to the vet and sadly passed away. It was totally unexpected. The staff was wonderful and very compassionate. They told us to take as much time as we needed. I had my baby cremated and today I picked up her ashes and cried. Not only did i get her ashes in a real nice wooden box, I also got her paw print and that meant the world to me because in moment you dont think about stuff like that. The staff was awesome during this bad time and i cant say thank you enough to all of them. A big thanks to the staff they made this process a little easier.

I am so so thankful for this vet. They care more about the animals being healthy than money unlike some other places. My baby girl Roxy was very sick & they took a look at her and I wasn’t able to pay for anything except the exam fee at the time. So instead of just collecting my money and sending her out the door sick, they called me and told me they were going to give her fluids (my dog hadn’t ate or drank in like 3-4 days) and meds and they also prescribed my baby some antibiotics! I was so happy and now my baby girl is doing SO much better. If it wasn’t for them my dog may have died because she was so sick she couldn’t eat or drink. I 10/10 reccomend them!

My best friend was a 12 year old German shepherd. She was my old granny, and I knew my time with her was coming to an end. She started really struggling in the middle of the night, and I knew it was time. She was treated with dignity and compassion in her final moments, and I will never forget the kindness of the staff during one of the hardest decisions of my life. Thank you for helping my Sophie girl be at peace. Life isn’t the same without her but I’m so grateful she didn’t have to suffer.

Way over priced, wanted $800-$1,000 to do an exam, x-ray and blood work, save yourself a headache, take your animals to Chesterfield Animal Hospital, the exam was only $42, x-ray was under $100

They were very sympathetic at the loss of my dog who had died on way to vet. I'm so glad they were open on a Saturday after my local vet closed worth the 30 minute drive from my house. Will take my other dog there from now on!!! Very highly recommend!!! I would rate it 10 Stars if I could !!!

Very kind people and knowledgeable staff. Had an emergency with my lizard and ended up having to put her down, they were very sweet and caring. The doctor was very professional with my other lizard and told me everything I needed to know about his health, answering all questions without hesitation.
