I am so pleased!! This was the first time my dog has been to a groomers and they handled him so well! I didn’t know what to expect and was a little nervous. I asked my questions and was reassured. I was properly greeted at the door and the groomer assigned to my appointment met me in front and was calm & friendly around my dog. Mind you, my dog is 9 years old, half pit/half lab, and can be reactive sometimes so having people who were calm around him helped out a lot with his nervousness. I appreciate that they’re all skilled in what they do and treat every animal with good care and love. I will be coming back since it’s a 15 minute drive from me. So if you’re in the suburbs come here! Last thing, they are a cash/check only establishment so be prepared for that.

I've been taking my dogs there for years, they are really good but not impeccable. There have been a couple issues over the years - eye accidentally poked causing redness and discomfort for 2-3 days, and water in ears leading to infection. But they also helped identify issues a couple of times including removing fleas after taking my little boy on a trip. I had no idea, and they took care of it. I brush my dogs but they develop tangles around the collar and k9 charges me more because of it. I asked for a brush recommendation, any will do they said, obviously not. Plus the more they want to charge the less I want to take them. I know cleaning and cutting their fur is time consuming I do it myself (between grooming) without the equipment. I do appreciate the work groomers do. Based on reviews I'll keep taking my babies there but plan to check out the new wood dale groomer. I won't go elsewhere, unless I'm told there is a groomer as good and charges less (if I have to travel out of WD) or the same as k9 if nearby, OR if there is a better groomer and charges about the same or little more than k9.

Mary and the owner are truly AMAZING! GREAT customer service....friendly.......knowledgeable......trustworthy and affordable! Our little Tina (Yorkie) is a hot mess with her temper.....Mary cradles her like an infant and makes her look so good. No need to go anywhere else.....Best dog grooming place I have ever seen......K-9 is a puppy palace!

I’m a pain in the but customer, me and my buddy are with each other 24-7. They worked with me, got me out of there during what looked like a very busy day. I’m so thankful for their great service and making my Brady, clean and beautiful. He’s knocked out from a very stressful day , but no more than he usually is on grooming day. The best grooming place in Illinois hands down! I’ve been taking my 6 year old Fifi there ever since she was a puppy and before k9 hair design, we tried many other places where we had horrible experiences and once I found this place I trust them with my baby and they always do an amazing job, especially with the lace bows!! First and last time I’m going there. Didn’t do what we asked for. My dog’s hair is super short. Don’t know what they did to her but my dog is terrified. Bad service

Paid Xtra for deshedding...more hair over my house and socks. Called them and asked them to redo it. She said no too many weeks passed. She said my dog should be groomed every 4 to 6 weeks. My dog is 9 years old and have never had to have her groomed that many times. They did a great job the first time. The last time was very bad. Didn't even offer a discount. I will never go back there again or recommend them.

I will never take my dog anywhere but K9. This is my 5th dog in 20 years and I have tried other groomers none have taken care of my dogs as well as K9. All my kids take their dogs there and we all agree the results are spectacular!!! I had some issues with time as a result of my mother’s illness so I took my dog to another groomer that was closer and more convenient. The results were we ended up with many mats in her hair. I brought her back to K 9 and thought we might have to shave most of her hair. I picked her up and she had a perfect cut and no mats. Affirmation we belong there no more changing groomers!

My dog had never been groomed I was always the one to cut his hair down but I decided to try this place for the good reviews it had. Let me tell you they did an amazing job, everyone is so friendly and I was extremely sayisfied with how he looked. Reasonable prices and great service!!

Milo and Bo had an absolute blast at K-9! They did such a good job on our golden and eased the gears of our pomsky's first time at a groomer. Cannot recommend this place higher. You can and should trust your pups to them. We will be back ❤️

This facility did an amazing grooming job on our 2 shihtzus. Mary was their groomer and we were very satisfied. The price was very fair. We will definitely be back!

K-9 Hair Design is by far the best. The groomers are very professional and really care about the work they are doing, and all the animals. I always feel comfortable leaving my dog there knowing he's going to come home feeling and looking handsome. If I could give this salon more than 5 stars I would.

I like the place. My dog has been groomed there by different employees. There is a little difference. Price is slowly climbing I may look around
