Our puppy loves their doggy day camp! Everyone is super friendly there. And it’s so affordable compared to other doggy day care memberships.

Staff is nice, but they are extremely disorganized. Terrible communication among staff. I had a 10:30 appointment for an annual physical with vaccines and wasn’t seen by the vet until nearly 11. That in itself didn’t bother me too much because I just figured they were busy on the weekends. But they didn’t give my dog her vaccines! I asked for her rabies tag after I paid $230 for her physical, nail trim, allergy shot, and allergy pills. I was told to go back into the exam room with my dog and waited for another 35 mins. The vet then noticed that my dog had a muscular tumor on her hip (which I mentioned during our first time in the exam room and he didn’t find) and asked if I wanted to have cells tested to see if it’s malignant. I said ok (added another $300 to my bill). They then ask if I want to have her blood drawn and vaccinated for heart-worm and fleas and tics and have her stool examined (I don’t know why they didn’t ask me during the first time we were in the exam room) (adding over $250 to my bill - yes I know pets are expensive, but I honestly was not prepared to pay over $750 for an annual physical). That being said, the receptionist (again, everyone was very nice to work with and professional) offered me the option to remove some services from my bill, such as the stool sample, flea and tic medicine, and I said ok. The vet comes out and says that we can’t do that because my dogs blood has already been drawn. So I try to split the payment between my debit card and card on my Apple wallet, but their Apple Pay doesn’t work. And I had to ask like three times for them to change my dog’s weight on the invoice from 43lbs to 34lbs! Maybe it was just a bad day for everyone, but I honestly expect more from professionals who I’m trusting to look out for my pet’s health. Update: it’s been two weeks since I had my dog’s appointment, and I still haven’t gotten results from the bloodwork or stool sample. I got a phone call from the vet about her tumor cytology a few days after the appointment, but no news about the other tests. I asked them to email the results to me but haven’t gotten anything yet. I would really like to take the results to another vet for a second opinion at this point, and I’m considering asking them for a refund on the bloodwork and stool sample lab work.

UPDATE: DO NOT GO HERE THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY! THEY WONT REFILL A SHAMPOO FOR MY POOR DOG WHO IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND ITCHY WITHOUT ME PAYING AN EXAM FEE...I CAN ORDER THIS SHAMPOO ON AMAZON WITH NO PRESCRIPTION I SIMPLY NEED IT ASAP FOR MY PUP AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO HELP! Horrible service. I was overcharged when told I would get a discount if I purchased all the shots. They are thieves they don't do cash back and the only reason I got them was because I was told I'd get a discount! Horrible staff would like to speak to whoever is in charge!

Dr. Roberts and the entire staff are the kindest most compassionate people you will ever meet. I have taken my pets there for over 20 years. It IS a great place.

If you love your animal do NOT take them to this "place"! No compassion and all about the money. Upselling and scare tactics are their bread and butter. The lack of bed side manners is scary. I just wish you good luck if you choose this animal Hospital/vet.

My pets have been patients for many years. The doctors and staff are always kind and caring and truly interested in my pets. They have always quickly and properly diagnosed my pets problems.

DONT BRING YOUR PETS. They only care about the money they are rude and right after I got my dog got back home 2 days later he got a eye infection and it’s way to expensive for the poor service

I will no longer take my pets to Wheeling Animal Hospital. They do not care about your pets or clients. I have been a customer of theirs for many years. Just last week we boarded our 2 dogs at their resort. In order for my dogs to stay there they had to get a couple of tests done which is fine. They charge a very high rate. I go to pick up my dogs and ended up taking my one pup to the ER because she had a hard time breathing. Come to find out she has kennel cough. Apparently there was an outbreak of kennel cough in their resort. They apparently didn't clean the area very well and when I went to confront Dr. Roberts he said it's just like daycare it can't be helped and then proceeded to charge me $208.00 for medicine for both dogs. I asked him if he is even going to discount the price of the medication and he said no I didn't charge you for the office consultation. I should not have had to pay anything! Plus when I called to get an answer nobody called me back. I had to Constantly call to get an answer. Save yourself the hassle and heartache and go to a different vet.

They saw my dog and told us what was worng with her. They explained everything about how to treat her. And I will keep on using this animal hospital

Excellent doggie and kitty doctors and awesome front desk staff! Really make you and your animal babies feel welcomed always. Give you the breakdown of all procedures before course of treatment begins. Highly recommend

We love the docs and staff at Wheeling Animal hospital! We drive all the way from Gurnee for our dog because we just love the care he gets there. Always honest, professional and they do their best to get you in right away if needed. They also have another location in Arlington Heights (Arlington Golf Animal Hospital) if you’re closer to that. We have been to both locations and highly recommend to anyone.

They have a friendly staff. The Doctor was personable and friendly. I think that I'll continue taking my dog to the animal hospital.

Services are "good" and staffs are nice usually. Cost is above average, so I recommend pet insurance for their services, or go somewhere else if you are not bound to them... Mistakes can happen from them, but some mistakes cost the customer thousands of dollars MORE as they will not claim responsibilities...it will be on your end on disasters. If you are planning on long procedures involving series of shots and exams, I suggest you to look elsewhere, especially for pet travel related. I trusted, and this is what I get... tl:dr Very expensive and unreliable in times of need. You pay the price in the end. BTW, they are shady with reviews

Horrible place only care abt money not saving lives they were tooo busy to help when I advise sick skinny animal and dirty and were like “o ok were busy try again bye”, didnt even recommended another hospital!!!

They really care about your pet!

My appointment was at 7. I called and they said that they’re running 15 minutes behind. 7:15 came around. Still waited. 7:20 they bring me in and I wait in a room. 7:56 vet finally comes in. Excuse is that the vet was triple booked. Will not be returning.

They charge outrageous fees. Price compare before you commit to anything (services/prescriptions). I've compared MULTIPLE items and found 50% savings on items if I purchase through Chewy. I was able to find some items through a medical supply store - huge cost savings! This is a huge issue especially on items that are repeat purchase.

Very proffesional staff!!! The doctors and nurses are very assertive, and friendly. I totally recommend the Wheeling Animal Hospital.

This facility is tied to Kay’s animal shelter. In 2018 I adopted 2 lab mixes. When you adopt with Kay’s the spay/neuter and checkup comes with the adoption cost for Wheeling Animal Hospital. We continued to use wheeling animal hospital for vaccinations and heart guard but have experienced issues. It is costly every visit compared to other facilities but we continued care in order to have a health care provider who is familiar with them from birth. Today, I called about one of my dogs regurgitating food In-tact after eating for 2 days now. They are unable to see him. They gave me two other facilities I could call. What has happened to loyalty and long term care? This vet is the only vet they have seen since they were adopted as puppies. Because of this, we have decided to switch their care to Palatine Animal hospital. I hope that management is able to review their current process and identify gaps or fail points in the service they are providing.

Brought in our rescue dog. She had heartworm. Dr. Has taken very good care and explained everything so I could understand
