Very loving with cats and their health

I've been looking for a year and a half for a good vet for my kitten, and hands down this is the best place to go to. The staff were very friendly and informative on how to help my cat, also their prices are amazing. I saved at least a couple hundred dollars, my previous vet charges me an arm an a leg.

This week was a rough one. Unfortunately, my cat Houdini had to be put to sleep because her medical condition got pretty worse. Since the diagnosis until the end, Dr Ubatuba and her amazing team took such a good care of her. Not only they are very professional but also love cats, are very nice and compassionate. It was a hard decision to make but what consoles me is that Houdini was always in wonderful hands at Abbeywood Cat Hospital. Highly recommend this practice and I'll come back with my other cat Jafar in the future.

My family and I so appreciate the care given to our cat, Winston. Even though, Dr. Ubatuba’s schedule was completely booked, she made time to see Winston (perhaps gave up her lunch time) , and this happened more than once. This office is more than 5 stars. They care about what they do. I am happy each time I bring our pet to them. I have never had a bad experience here.

Dear Seth, I have brought my cats here for years. They are kind and very competent, including both the former veterinarian and the new one. Being gruff is not a major offense. Animals are not people and do not understand. I appreciated a minimal approach for a senior cat, & they explained things well. Seth, please do not to dump on those that came before. I reflects poorly on the present management. They built this practice, and cared for animals too.

I cannot recommend this facility enough. I brought my cat Newman here because of an ongoing allergy issue and they were able to get us on the right track from day one. Dr. Ubatuba always takes the time to explain everything and answer questions thouroughly and thoughtfully. The reception staff is kind and helpful and the techs are amazing. Newman has a lot of anxiety at the vet, but the Abbeywood staff handles it wonderfully. Last but not least, I appreciate the social distancing and safety steps put in place. Can’t thank you guys enough.

Just had a walk-in, first time visit. So impressed and grateful!! Took great care and thoroughly administered to our sweet 15 year old cat. Destiny was so kind and professional! Dr is too! So glad we've found our new vet for aging brother and sister kitties!! Highly recommend. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Liked how Dr. Ubatuba came out to my car to discuss treatment (during COVID restrictions when I couldn't enter the building). She noticed health problems other, more expensive, vets missed. Pricing was good, not cheap, but not expensive either. They all really seem to understand cats and care about keeping them healthy. Even offer complimentary nail trims with every appointment!

I rescued two kittens last week and took them to Abbeywood Cat Hospital because they were having a couple of issues that needed to be checked out. I was not happy with the front desk staff at the vet my now deceased pet went to in Downers Grove and wanted a place where the entire staff cared and loved animals. The reviews made me try Abbeywood, but the staff and Dr. Mary are why we will be going back for all their care from now on! Every person I talked with was warm, caring, professional, and patiently answered all my questions and concerns. Dr. Mary spent considerable time going over exam results, care instructions, and next steps, while also being very warm, knowledgable. I know my boys are in great hands!

Great place for cat owners. Not only professionals but also very friendly personnel. The Team following Social distancing standards but also they are ensuring friendly contact and chat with the owners.

This is the only place I will ever take my kitties! They are all so nice and take such good care of my cats. I have had several urgent situations and they are excellent about getting me seen right away. The doctor is so great at explaining everything and is very thorough. They always call a few days later to follow up which is also very nice!

Started out here with the previous vet who was brusque, but good at his job (Think Dr. House, but as a vet.) The current vet, Dr. Ubatuba (which is a fun last name to say!) is also good at her job AND friendly and patient as well! The staff is all very friendly, and they all seem to genuinely like both of my cats. If you have cats, this is definitely the vet to see!

Dr. Ubatuba and her staff have been nothing but professional. Their treatment of felines is fantastic and they always refer their dog patients to Finan Animal Hospital for care.

Everyone here is very friendly. Dr Mary was very nice and friendly. They listen to what you have to tell them about ur kitty's and take great care of them. We have been going here with our cats for many years.

This vetinarians clinic is a special one. Dr. Ubatuba is kind and very skilled. The staff is exceptionally compitant. It's exactly what a veterinarians office should be. I'm grateful for them and the care they give to my cat.

Because of the coronavirus, you have to wait outside while your cat is taken inside. The veterinary service is good but time-consuming.

Dr. Ubatuba is outstanding and her staff is so friendly and considerate. My cat had several extractions and Dr. Ubatuba came out to car to with her laptop to show us and explain the work she had completed.

The vets at Abbeywood Cat Hospital are great. They listen to you and will explain what is wrong with your pets and what you can do for them.

Abbeywood Cat Hospital is amazing. In early September my 13 year old kitty Gusty was struggling with breathing. She was originally under the care of a different vet from another clinic and I was not very satisfied with how her case was being handled. One morning I noticed Gusty struggling extra hard to breathe, so I decided to call Abbeywood Cat Hospital for help. I had never been there and only knew of them from driving past them. The person who answered the phone was so sweet and I was so relieved that they were able to see Gusty that same day. They contacted the old vet and had the records transferred for them to review. When I arrived there I knew things with my poor Gusty were bad, but the level of compassion and care that I received from Dr. Mary and her vet tech (I didn’t catch her name but she was so incredibly sweet) was unlike anything I had ever experienced. Both of these women, who had never met me, helped me through the most difficult day of having to say goodbye to my little Gusty. Dr. Mary examined Gusty carefully and calmly, explained to me very thoroughly my options and ultimately I decided the most humane thing to do was to put Gusty to sleep. Dr. Mary and her vet tech were so gentle with Gusty and I could tell they knew exactly what to do to keep her calm. The level of kindness and compassion these two women showed me made this incredibly difficult day just a little easier. Two weeks after Gusty passed they even sent me a sympathy card, something I did not expect to receive since I had only been there that 1 time. It touched me so much that they took the time to do that. It will be a while until I am ready to adopt another kitty cat, but when that day comes I will only take my cats to Abbeywood. I recommend them to anyone with a cat. To Dr. Mary and staff, thank you for all you did for me and Gusty. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

Great. Our vet retired at the end of last year and my cat came down with a UTI. Abbywood had been on my short list to check out and since it had become urgent I gave them a call and they got is in that day. The staff was nice and the vet was too. And my cat seemed to do quite well for his first visit to a new place. I plan to make this out new regular vet and will be getting the other cats setup there as well.
