Burr Ridge Veterinary Clinic Darien, Illinois

Have been a customer of this animal hospital with multiple dogs for many years, However I do feel this is the last. Took our 10yr old pug to be put to sleep this past Monday and to say it was a horrible unprofessional experience is an understatement. We show up for our 10.30am appointment to be told ‘your late as your appointment was 10am’. As we were waiting the Vet tech gave our dog a sedative to relax him and for whatever apparent reason forgot to return to us. The animal was left unattended by the vet tech for a period of 15 minutes or more which ended in the poor little pug suffocating to death . To say this is a sad and emotional experience is one thing but the unprofessional conduct of the vet tech in question was poor at best and this ended up quite a traumatic experience overall. The silver lining here is the Veterinarian remained professional throughout the whole botched euthanasia experience and was excellent at consoling the family members present during this nightmare. Unfortunately standards have slipped at this animal hospital and we will no longer continue to bring our pets here .

We’ve been using Burr Ridge Vet practice for years. Some of that time has involved caring for very sick pets. Since relocating to this area I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Everyone is wonderful. The doctors, especially Dr Rooney, our primary doctor is the best. He really takes the time to discuss our pet’s health, options and developing a plan. Thank you Burr Ridge for helping to keep our pet happy and healthy!!

Brought my dog in to have a small cyst checked out. The visit was handled promptly and smoothly.

Caring staff, with great follow-up after visits. My dog likes going to the vet, which I feel is a testament to the patient experience here. Pricing for services seems fair. Appointment availability is decent.

This was my first visit to Burr Ridge Vet Clinic and I couldn’t have been happier. Dr Palmer took his time discussing my cats condition and was courteous and professional. The facility is clean and spacious, friendly front desk staff very friendly. Reminders were sent about appointment and follow up sent as well. I feel at ease knowing they will take care of my pet!

This amazing place is always top notch. From simple questions to the hard task of losing loved ones. They treat you with respect and are always courteous. No better place to take a loved one for their medical needs.

Our standard poodle was born with hip issues that were not disclosed to us from the breeder. We're very grateful for the excellent care and advise we received from Drs. Palmer and Sexton. Their calm and knowledgeable guidance was invaluable in assisting us how to best move forward with his care. The support staff also couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Additionally, we appreciate having the option and convenience of asking questions and booking appointments on-line as their response time has always been quick. Obviously, we highly recommend this practice.

Everyone at Burr Ridge Veterinary Clinic is professional and caring. Both your pet and you are treated with the utmost respect and efficiency. The vets take time to answer all of your questions and to make your pet feel safe and happy there. I highly recommend this clinic for your pet.

I have been coming to them for 17 years with 3 of my dogs. They have always shown them tenderness and care, as well providing sound medical advice and service. I won’t go anywhere else.

Dr Palmer was recommended to us because our senior pup was suffering from terrible itching. We weren’t getting the attention or help from our usual vet and felt like they dropped the ball. Dr Palmer has always been thorough, and takes the time to explain. He is very knowledgeable, kind and gentle. The support staff is friendly and helpful. I am happy to say we finally have a handle on my sweet pups allergies and aren’t just pumping him up with meds to do it

These people are absolutely the best, they are kind, attentive, professional, caring, everything you would want in a vet clinic! My puppy had something on his mouth and because at the moment we couldn’t come in they were so awesome they let me send pictures to them to check if it was something to be concerned about, luckily it was noting. They are all fricking angels, i would give them a million stars if i could! ❤️

The team at Burr Ridge did an excellent job taking care of my dog Roxy. The guidance helped my wife and I with the difficult part of pet ownership (Roxy was diagnosed with congestive heart failure). However, the doctor told us what to expect and provided guidance so that we knew when our time together was growing short. There was a good balance of medicinal therapy and understanding/common sense so that we could make every effort to avoid putting Roxy through anything that could cause her pain.

I love Dr.Palmer. Also staff is really nice.

We took our beloved female Black Lab mix to this Vet to have a cyst in her mouth removed. It was about the size of a pencil eraser the day of surgery. My family and I were very concerned because our regular, longtime Vet had operational/business issues due to tornado damage and was not open. However, all of our concerns ended when we picked up our baby girl. She was somewhat groggy but the next day she was back to normal. Thanks Burr Ridge Vet!

I have been bringing my family's pets to Burr Ridge Veterinary Clinic for 25 years. The medical care that they provide is exceptional, and they treat pets with care and kindness. I have always received precise information about what my pet's state of health is and what course of treatment, if any, may be necessary. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic.
