They’re great I just wish they would answer the call when you want to check in on your baby.

Boarded all three of my dogs for four nights in the most expensive suite because I usually bring them here to get groomed, when I picked them up ALL three of them now have Kennel Cough and are vomiting non stop! This shows that they are lying about how frequently they take them out, they promised us they'd be taken out three to four times a day that is clearly a lie because their dog bed was completely soiled and I had to toss it when I picked them up. They clearly kept them in unsanitary conditions when we spent $600 to have our dogs in the best care! DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE, I WILL NEVER BRING THEM HERE TO BE BOARDED OR GROOMED AGAIN!! OAK VIEW IF YOU SEE THIS GIVE THE PARENTS OF DALE, LUNETTA, AND FLUFFY A CALL WE ARE DISGUSTED BY YOUR SERVICE, WE'VE BEEN COMING HERE FOR YEARS FOR GROOMING!

I am still waiting on the credit from a 10pak ($310)that was purchased on 6/4 but never used. I have left multiple messages and no reply. Nice people but not great at issuing credits or easy to get ahold of

First boarding place our dog actually is excited to go to. She loves the extra attention and nature walks she gets here. Staff is wonderful.

Charged me more then the advertised prices on the website and in person and just said those are the old prices. Very basic boarding needs.

Max absolutely loves going to daycare at Oakview! The staff are awesome! You can tell that they love their jobs and treat my Max as if he were their own! I highly recommend Oakview for all of your daycare/boarding/ grooming needs! They even sell dog food!

Great service, nice kennels, wonderful grooming... and they love my dog!!

I take my dog twice a week for daycare. If my dog had thumbs, I think she'd open the doors and let herself in. Everybody is very friendly and you can tell they're all animal lovers.

The team at Oakview loves my dog almost as much as I do. They take great care of him and he enjoys going there.

I brought my dog here for daycare 1-2 times a week. Will never bring him here again. First, when I said I wanted to bring my dog in for day care, the girl working said that was fine and to just drop him off whenever. That was it. No copies of vax records, no forms filled out or anything. Very strange. I called the Lake Zurich location to ask about this and the manager was super helpful so I gave them a 2nd chance. One day I picked my dog up from daycare and he had a bite on his ear and there was a small tear on the side of the ear as well. It wasnt a deep or a large bite mark so I chalked it up to an accident that had happened during some rough play. The next time I picked him up i found another bite and this one had gone through the ear and left a big bloody scab. I brought it up to the woman at the front desk and instead of assuring me that they would prevent this from happening again, all she did was make excuses, even telling me "well dogs play rough." Not acceptable. I shouldn't have to specifically ask you to prevent my dog from being bitten or attacked and she acted like it was a big favor of me to ask. Never went back.

We boarded our healthy 10-year old dog for a week. They called us on the last day and told us that she passed away that afternoon:-(

This is a review for the wauconda location as this is the only one I toured, but since they are owned by the same owner I can't imagine it is much different. We made a reservation for our dog based on the description of the boarding options on their website. After discussing our concerns about our dog, they recommended the cottages, which sounded very nice on the website. We then showed up for a tour and when entering, the place smelled awful and in general looked dirty. The woman at the front desk appeared unprofessional and took us in the back for a "tour". She took us in the back to the cottages and I was shocked to see small wooden boxes that the dogs were in. They were stacked on top of each other, and looked absolutely disgusting. It looked like what you would see in a puppy mill. I was completely shocked at the false advertising, and generally heartbroken that anyone would send their precious dog or cat to this place. The dogs didn't have beds and were just barking and seemed extremely stressed. If you love your dog or cat please do not leave them at this awful place.

We had our healthy cat here for a week. They called us & told us the cat would need to be taken to the emergency pet hospital. The vets told us he had a seizure. He later died the day after. After reading these reviews it seems suspicious there has been so many cat deaths at this place. Please do not send your dog or cat here

Would not board my dogs there again, did not feel they were well cared for.

My sister boarders her hairless cat there and it died. They did not notify my sister or anything. No apology. Do not leave your pets here, the cat died of negligence

Best pet place ever. So much more than a kennel, but not like the crazy doggy daycare places, but with lots of services, affordable prices, and managed by folks who love dogs.

Our dog loves going to oakview and the staff is always very sweet and cares for the dogs like it's their own. They are very genuine and offer many accommodations for the pets. The grooming is great too. I think what people fail to sometimes realize is that they are animals and sometimes they get themselves into mischief, but the staff is knowledgeable and they do work with a vet which makes it a lot easier for me to feel comfortable with leaving my dog behind while we are away. I would highly recommend them

We we here for a quinceañera and it was surprisingly big and comfortable. I guess you can rent out warehouse type space that has bathrooms.

This place is great. My beagle loves it here for boarding, grooming and play times.

I will NEVER board our dogs here again. First, one of our dogs came home with skin ripped off his neck, no one told us or bothered to clean him...but someone took the time to try to wash his harness. He was not in any daycare. Second, both our dogs are current on ALL vaccines and BOTH came home with a nasty case of kennel cough. It's cost $250 in vet bills because our rottie could barely breath and couldn't hold any food or water down. When the kennel was asked about the above, well they didn't know how he got hurt and 'no dogs are coughing'. Our dogs were there for 5 days and no where else!! I wouldn't trust that place with my dogs ever again.

In response to the review posted by jordan janusz, Oakview Pet Resort would like to explain that on weekends, the training center is rented out for parties, weddings, and other group gatherings. While party goers may come into and out of the training center with their beverages, you can be assured of two things. 1. Oakview Pet Resort is secured prior to the beginning of the parties, and is monitored throughout the duration of the event. At no point during an event do party goers have access to the resort itself, or any of the pets being housed there, only to the training center. Any pets boarding at Oakview Pet Resort are safe, secure, and unbothered by any attendees of any event held in the training center. 2. Members of the Oakview Pet Resort staff take a great deal of pride in their jobs and have a great respect for the trust given to them when a client boards their pet with us. Staff members do not attend the events hosted in the Training Center, and never impair themselves prior to, or during their time with your pets. We hope that this clears up any confusion. You can rest assured that pets staying at Oakview Pet Resort are safe, protected, and well maintained during their visit.
