Royal Acres Pet Camp Valparaiso, Illinois

I had high hopes when I dropped my beloved 1 year old Bernese Mtn dog off here but unfortunately things did not go well. I called multiple times to see how she was doing and was told everything was fine. When I picked up my girl she gagged up spit in their lobby which turned out to be kennel cough. I get things happen but I should have been notified so I could start the meds sooner. The folks that work there seem great but very disappointed that I was not told about this sooner by management. Hoping she recovers soon as I dropped off a very happy dog and now have a depressed sick dog.

I picked our dog up today and the place is nice and clean. It didn't smell like there was a lot of dogs there. We will certainly be boarding our dog here again!

Took our 14 yr old dog there(1st time ever). Royal Acres is a little out of the way place, but our dog was well taken care of. We WILL use them again!!

Great place to board your pups. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable. They listen. My dogs always leave there with a huge smile and tails wagging.

Took Willow there for 11 days on her first time away from home since we had her. She was herself again within an hour after leaving. Willow is a rescued dog, so I was more worried about her psychological health, but she survived without any apparent issues. I will be taking her back again in September for 3 to 4 days.

I Googled this place with an interest in their WSS breeding program, but I've never been there...not sure why Google asked me for a review.

A place that will truly care for your pet(family members) as much as if they where their own. Leaving your animal behind is extremely hard to do, but they will be happy(safe) here. So you can enjoy your time away.

They managed my difficult dog with skill and good cheer. Highly recommend!

My dog absolutely LOVES going to daycare! He gets lots of exercise and makes new friends! The staff is WONDERFUL!

Our Great Dane stayed there and they said that he snipped at someone. When my husband told my daughter and I that we both asked what did they did to him. They said that someone tried to get him up by pulling on his collar. It has taken him 3 days to get back to normal. He has been boarded before unfortunately that place is not open any longer. Will NEVER go back to this place again!!!!!

Dropped our 3 dogs off while we went on a weekend getaway after a great recommendation from a close friend. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable. Our dogs seemed to love it, and we're definitely going to be boarding here again should the need arise. A++++++

This place so wonderful. We asked for our dog to be groomed and she did a great job. Our fur babies were boarded for a week and they came home smelling so great and looking good. We had looked all around for a boarding facility after the one we went to closed due to retirement. This place was recommended and am very happy. Will be boarding here again.

Always use Royal Acres for boarding our precious guy. He enjoys playing with the other dogs. The owner is a REAL dog expert, so we don't have any worries. Very professional and well run.

Best dog camp ever hands down. We have been taking our dogs here for 5 years. My dogs come home tired and happy. I wish I had the time to take them more often. Jean and her staff are completely professional, accomodating and a absolute pleasure to deal with. Any negative reviews this establishment has received are guaranteed to be a misunderstanding.

We love and trust Jean and Reeves Royal Acres. Jordy, our young Shetland Sheepdog, had a great 10 days there this Christmas break. He had the best care and came back clean, sweet smelling, and healthy. Things can happen to pets anywhere, and we were prepared with people to pick him up, if need be. I call periodically during our absence to check on my dog. Jordy will be back to Reeves!

They take VERY GOOD CARE of our fur baby! She loves going. I highly recommend this place

Very pleased! My dog was immaculately groomed when I picked him up. He'd had a bath and his nails clipped. They even brushed out all his stubborn shedding clumps. He boarded there a couple days and was in high spirits when I retrieved him. He really seemed to enjoy his time here playing with the other dogs, as well as the staff. Definitely a great value opting for the bath n nail clipping along with boarding. Will certainly board him here again with confidence. ????

Tommy, our shepherd mix, was fostered by Miranda and we were able to adopt him because our local animal shelter knew we were looking for an easy going dog who was not a puppy. We have been bringing him to Reeves ever since and Tommy always looks very happy when we start to gather his things together for his vacation at Reeves.

We have boarded our beagles with Doug and Jean Reeves for many years. To say that we're particular about their care is an understatement. I can unequivocally state that our pets have been treated at Royal Acres as they are treated in our home - with compassion, care, and diligence. There is no better boarding facility in Northern Indiana, and we have toured them all.

Bring my Lola here every time we go away and she always has a good time! Not as luxurious as some of those other dog "hotels" but it is affordable and does the job for our pooch.
