I don't feel this business was very trustworthy. They quoted me $16 dollars for nail trimming and $35 per vaccinations, then when we got there they said they would need to do a heartworm/tick test for $60 plus. Then the annual checkup was $60. This all came to a total of $313 including an additional $16 for my daughters bunny nail clipping. After all this I was told a different cost to bring my dog out the door at $360+. Not to mention the deworming drops that I am told to do because they felt it would be better for me to do those. Yet they charged me for that service. Overcharged and unworthy are my thoughts.

Dr. Sherrock provided support while putting my oldest basset to sleep. Her and Kayla did a phenomenal job. Thanks to Hope Vet.

I was pretty disappointed with my vet visit today (06/02/2021). I dropped my guinea pig off at around 8:20am. I called at 12:30pm to get an update on her, but no one had seen her yet. 7 hours after I dropped her off someone finally got back to me, a little over an hour before I was scheduled to pick her up. I never got a diagnosis, really. Just a few guesses on what things could be, but really they had no idea. I was skeptical about that. Especially when quoted prices. My guinea pig has a lump on her neck under her fur (could be a cyst, could be the start of an abscess).... they already wanted almost 70$ just to see her and an additional 300 dollars to sedate her, poke a needle into the lump and see what it could be. If it was not a abscess, they wanted an additional 150$ to send this off to be tested to see what it could be. Plus, additional costs for any medications needed. This was going to add up to close to 500-600$ (or more) and still without knowing what could be wrong with her yet. I didn't want to pay almost 500-600$ (or more) without knowing what was wrong or taking the risks of sedation without knowing anything. I feel pretty scammed out of almost 70$ for them to more or less pet her and babysit her for almost 8 hours....especially since I provided the food, water, a cage and everything she needed for the day. I called a bunch of other vets around Springfield/Petersburg area and had them quote to me what they'd charge me for the same procedures Hope wanted to do and it was beyond hundreds cheaper. I definitely recommend calling and asking for quotes before getting procedures done here.

I have never actually been to this Veterinary Care facility, but wanted to leave a review for them based on my short experience with them. I was trying to place an appointment for my rabbit at a different vet in Missouri with a similar name and accidentally placed in on their website. They called me the next day when they opened and were willing to help that day. They informed me they could treat my rabbit for a possible ear infection, but if it went past that they could give me a referral as they don’t usually see rabbits. They were very professional and willing to help in any way they could.

My first experience with them was, sadly, having to put my beloved dog down. Something had started to go wrong with her eye, and I had lapsed on vet care because of the pandemic/post partum depression, so she wasn't current on any shots or providers. We called everywhere. They were the only vet to take our anxiety seriously. Our anxiety was, sadly, founded. They got her in within 24 hours. Told us the bad news. But my baby was comfortable, even though she had gone blind and couldn't really hear anymore. I was a wreck, and blaming myself for not noticing sooner. No one, not one person, judged me for having lapsed on her shots or not noticing she was ill. They even let me lay down with Tux and hold her while she was given the procedure. Are they pricier than some vets? Maybe, but you know what? My baby spent her last moments comfortable: having cheese and peanut butter and in a cozy room with couches and a rug. She wasn't in some cold, bare room, afraid and waiting to die. I don't know about you, but I know which scenario I prefer. They quietly arranged a way to pay with my husband, going so far as to tell me to go home and not worry about it when I tried to pay some of the bill. He said they were very kind when he explained he didn't have all the money up front. Considering we were brand new clients, this is even more unexpected. Absolutely the best vet in Springfield. Bar none.

We recently adopted a German Shepard Lab mix with a bit of fear aggression that we have been working on. Their staff specializes in making their clinic a fear free experience and WOW! My pup took their staff with no issues. Dr. Sherrock and her staff are top notch! On her first visit one of their staff members met me outside to get to know our pup before her exam. She did excellent! During her exam Dr. Sherrock walked her around and introduced her to everyone. When it was time to go back to get her vaccinations she went inside with no hesitation and no issues at at all. The visit did not feel like a vet visit at all, it was more of a quick stop to see some friends. I highly recommend Hope as they really do care about the well-being of your fur baby both mentally and physically!

I am a first time pet owner and just adopted a cat. I have never had a pet (even as a child) so I have never been to a vet. I am so happy I chose Hope! They were so friendly and took great care of my sweet Cookie! The covid safety precautions were great and the doctor was so friendly and informative.

They're very judgy. I liked that they were willing to work with me on price, but being treated like I'm a poor mooch isn't fun. I'm broke bc of the pandemic, like we all are. Have some decency.

Wonderful small animal clinic. Courteous and care-giving staff. A competent and professional veterinary service, which is apparently a difficult find these days. Response to questions and concerns in a caring and professional manner. Staff seems to place the actual care of one’s pet at a higher priority than the financial bottom line. Very rare these days. Glad I found it.

For a vet that I trusted and followed for so many years to turn me away with a sick dog because we had differences of opinion is not only unethical but sad and disgusting. Dr. Sherrock does not run her clinic, but lets her staff take …

The first time I came was an emergency for my cat. I could not get into my vet for over a week, and they suggested that I see someone ASAP. Hope was nearby and was very willing to work her in. They went above and beyond in the care and prevention of future problems, as well as very much tlc. I was quick to call when again my vet was unavailable and my dog needed emergency care. I couldn't have asked for better love and care for what was inevitable for my sweet old pup. So greatful.

Great customer service and very personable with my dog and I. The doctor answered all my questions with care and even helped look up ways to get discount medications for my dog who was newly diagnosed with epilepsy. Highly recommend.

Hands down, the best vet my family has ever used. The clinic has such a calm and inviting vibe. Our dog is on a specialty/prescription diet, and their online pharmacy is amazingly convenient. A few clicks and our dog's food is at our door as early as the next day (two days at the latest). Thank you for providing our community with an OUTSTANDING option for our pets.

The staff here are amazing. Dr. Sherrock really cares about the animals you bring in. My senior cat had to have some dental work done and they did the procedure for less than I was expecting with no problems afterward. I also buy my old cat's special food there too. In short, it's a great clinic with a professional and caring staff. I recommend this place to all of my friends.

Dr. Britt-Sherrock, Sam and Kayla are all so gracious and compassionate. They took care of my two senior cats at the end of their respective lives and loved on them as if they were their own pets. I’ve since adopted two new cats and I’m grateful to have them as my vet team.

Went here with my Cat Nala for the first time. It is the nicest, most calm vet I've ever been to! It is clean, yet doesn't feel sterile, it feels very welcoming like a home which is a huge plus when you have a very timid pet. Vets and vet techs do their best to not stress out your pet any more then they already are. The prices aren't too expensive also, they're around the same price as any other vet, but with much more friendly staff.
