I have taken my three dogs, one after another, to Dr. Klaus or Dr. Pat. They are reliable, honest and do not overcharge compared to other vets.

I can’t even begin to say how thankful I am for the wonderful staff at this place! I brought my dog in for a teeth cleaning and I was so nervous I was in tears. The lovely women from the front desk talked me down and made me feel so comfortable and calm. The vet came in and made me feel like my dog was in great hands. When the cleaning was over (my dog was under anesthesia) the front desk went out of there way to call me an ensure me everything went smoothly. When I came in to pick up my dog the whole staff acted like my dog was part of the family and bragged about what a good boy he was. I can’t give a review with out giving credit to the tech who actually cleaned my dogs teeth. She is absolutely amazing at her job and I could not believe how clean my dogs teeth looked after . Seriously sparking !! Thank you all so much !!

Just up and disappeared. Took our cat's records. Very poor communicators. Seems CoVid just did them in. They had been in decline for awhile. Office staff can be downright rude. Very unpredictable and unprofessional. Switched to Morton Grove Animal Hospital.

THEY ARE AMAZING. After two years searching for a caring vet in Chicago I finally found one. The staff is so caring and the doctor seems like she has a lot of experience in her field and really loves what she does. Thank you McCormick Animal Hospital and God bless you!

We were a "walk-in", something most places don't allow! They were really caring, even though they were extremely busy. So appreciated their help!

I do not take any joy in writing a negative review about a local business but it's my hope that by sharing my experience McCormick others can make an informed decision, and McCormick might take the feedback and improve. We brought out cats here last November (11/2020) when I had suspicions about my oldest tabby having some issues. We did the curbside drop-off which was smooth, and I chatted with the vet (I cannot remember who it was) who was kind and knowledgeable and generous with her time. We left feeling confident that our pets had been given a solid "once over" and clean bill of health. 8 months later, my tabby exhibited more weight loss so I went to bring her back in. McCormick was booked so I took her to Riser. First, when Riser called for our records, McCormick could not locate them. Riser suggested I give them a call, which I did. A woman answered the phone and brusquely told me that they had already looked for these records. I politely insisted she check again and gave her the exact date of our visit. The records were located and this same lady said that nothing on the records "was a big deal" but I still requested they be sent to Riser so the record could be complete. I was surprised by the instantly defensive posture taken by the McCormick staffer but figured they were probably busy and moved on. We got our cat in at Riser and their vet called me with the update: advanced dental disease, gingivitis, and several teeth (5) needing to be extracted. I was shocked and mentioned that none of this had been communicated to us when McCormick checked her out, and the Riser vet confirmed that her records said, "teeth OK", which, clearly, they were not as this kind of advanced decay doesn't come about in just 8 months. I do not know how this was missed or if I misunderstood something. I very much understand that this happens in older cats (my girl is 15+ years) and that teeth being extracted is fairly common but it hurts my heart to think that she was in pain for several more months than she needed to be had this been identified earlier. Due to this unfortunate experience, I cannot confidently recommend McCormick. I sincerely hope this feedback can help them improve services.

My husband has been going here for about the last 25 years!! For me about 15 years. The staff are lovely, the vets are kind, considerate and don't run unnecessary tests and dont spend your money with out checking in first and explaining the why first. The place is clean but not fancy. But the care is outstanding and the price point beyond fair. We will continue with this vet practice as long as their still in business!!

Our cat had a dental cleaning and one tooth removal. Since that appointment, he has NO bad breath anymore and has stopped drooling excessively. The doctors and all staff are very compassionate. And they don't overcharge.

I have been coming here about 10 years and I never had a problem. I called to ask a question to understand what I’m being charged for. The receptionist was very unprofessional and hung up on me 3 times and said I don’t have time to listen to you talk for an hour but didn’t even let me talk. I know they were busy but I have never been treated so bad. I’m very disappointed.

McCormick Animal Hospital has been my family's foundation for our dogs over the decades. Yes, decades. Close to home, the staff from the front desk to the back are outstanding. And, the vetinarians are most caring, and, you know they love their profession. Their attention to your furry family member very sincere. From initial puppy checkup, to years of annual checkups or incidents that need immediate attention, to nail trim and or bath, to overnight stays McCormick is my recommendation.

My dog had developed a cough early Saturday morning, and my vet was already booked solid for the day. Calling around fractically, I stumbled on McCormick Animal Hospital, who squeezed us in during walk-in hours on Saturday afternoon. Normally, only the local emergency vet is open and they are several hundred dollars just to walk through the door. The staff here were incredibly helpful, professional, and willing to do whatever it took to squeeze us in (even with a packed schedule and COVID protocols) and make sure that a potentially hazardous situation was addressed in a timely fashion. We did have to wait about an hour to an hour and a half to be seen, but it was well worth the wait. The vet called from the examination room several times, with observations and potential remedies and was very receptive to my feedback as the owner. I was expecting to have a bill of several hundred dollars between the exam and meds, but was pleasantly surprised with a total less than a hundred bucks. I would highly recommend them.

I called ahead of time to be sure that we could actually come in with our pet as she’s a puppy, her first time to a vet at all and our first time to this vet. We waited patiently, our pupp played at the nice park next to it while we waited. I then get a call saying that they’re ready for her. Mind when we arrived they said that people can only come in if it’s for surgery or to euthanize. So that was a change from what was said on the phone, but I didn’t make a big deal just said oh ok then will we at least get to meet the Dr before she goes in. (I work at an Optometrist I understand there’s a lot of protocols in place to keep everyone safe.) We get to the door and the very kind assistant comes to take her but I don’t see the Dr. So I just mention oh sorry remember we just wanted to go over some stuff with the Dr briefly is she on her way. The Dr then calls me and says she is talking to me now, and that I was told to bring the dog to the door. I said yes we did we were just waiting to meet her. She says she’s high risk. I say I understand would you mind just coming to the door we can even talk through it if you want. Just since this is our first time and we’ve never met it would be nice to meet you in person however we can before handing over our puppy. I hear her scoff and then she comes to the door does this squatting waving monkey like pose and then disappears. Meanwhile I hear her insulting us to the staff over the phone. This is the most rude, arrogant, childlike behavior I’ve ever encountered especially in health. I understand people are nervous now, I see it every day. But there was absolutely NO excuse for this kind of behavior. Unspeakably appalling.

Once you enter here. A rude order is barked at you. To raise your already nose covered mask even higher! While a worker walks by NOT wearing a mask! These people are insanely irrational irresponsible and rude!
