Perky Paws Dog Grooming Salon Shorewood, Illinois

I asked them to make sure my puppy's hair is a little longer than shorter and they chopped her. I asked to keep the top of her hair long so I can put bows in her hair and they cut it completely off. Not only did they not listen to anything I asked, they made my dogs hair very uneven. They did a terrible job and I will never recommend this Groomer. My opinion the owner needs to hire experienced Groomers if she wants to stay in business. I can see if my dog was unruly and gave the groomer problems, but when the groomer called me she mentioned my fur baby did a remarkable job and she is so lovable. There was absolutely no excuse for the results we got with our baby. I added a before and after to back this review up.

GAVE MY PHONE # TO ATTENDANT WHO TOOK MY DOG IN TO CALL ME WHEN MY DOG IS READY INSTEAD CALLING MY WIFE'S PHONE NUMBER. MY WIFE CALLED ME THEY CONTACTED HER TWICE THE DOG IS READY WHILE SHE'S AT WORK. INFORMED THE SAME LADY WHO TOOK MY DOG IN WHAT OCCURRED. MY WIFE WAS CRITCAL AND ANNOYED BY WHAT TRANSPIRED. NO APOLOGY WAS GIVEN,INSTEAD SHE DEFENDED THE COMMUNICATIONS. IT WAS HER SECRETARY WHO CALLED MY WIFE NOT HER.

They just waste my time. Got an appt thru call and then got turned away cause the lady said my dog was too matted lol I don’t suggest going to this place. Wish I could put zero stars lol

The ladies always take good care of my Sassy. My Sassy has CHF and they take care with her and treat her like I would. My Sassy leaves clean, smelling good and nails trimmed. I have been here three times and I will be back.

Horrible experience. Will not be returning; shaved my dog, and when my dog was picked up, my daughter caught the groomer yelling at my 1 year old puppy. My dog came home super scared and shaved

We had to wait a month to get a grooming appt for my St Bernard/poodle. Then, was turned away bc he was too matted. Took him to petco for a grooming the next day and they said he wasn't matted, at all, and isn't that a groomers job, even if he was? The woman I spoke to on the phone at Perky paws said she took a comb to him and couldn't get through his coat, which was a false statement. Not once did she attempt to brush him. It looked they were too busy, overbooked ( couldn't find out appt initially) and tried to cover their mistake by that mess of verbal salad delivered as an excuse to turn our puppy away. Had we been told there was a mistake in booking, we would have understood. Being lied to is another matter altogether.. See ya later PP.

Great groomer! They got me in for a last minute appointment for my 65lb labradoodle. Sam did a great job and my pupper looks awesome.

Very friendly, fast, and clean My puppy came back looking adorable! It is located in a plaza so the parking is great. It is next door to a dog shop where you can stop in afterwards for some good treats.

Great experience for me and my puppy! He came back clean, well trimmed, nails cut and filed, even with a cute little bandana. The place was clean, nicely decorated, easy to find, lots of parking, prices were decent, and they have a nice staff. I will definitely be bringing him back there. He looks great, smells great, came back with a super happy attitude. We even have a plan on when I should return. They were really patient and good with the dogs, and people. Thanks!!!

Wish she had an online booking service. They don’t pick up a lot of the time, but leave a voicemail and they’ll get back to you. The kind staff and great work make up for that. My dog gets way too excited when she sees Shannon!

Had both or our dogs groomed here for the first time today and they did a fantastic job! We will definitely be back. They were so patient with our older dog who has anxiety with new people. Very happy with the groomers at this place

The groomers are very competent and get along well with my dog. It is very clean too.

Took my dogs there for grooming and they told me they were too big to fit in their tubs when they knew when we made appointment. The owner kept asking us if we would rather take them to Petco. Who does that? We walked out. Did not trust them. If I could give zero stars I would.

The owner is very nice and did a great job with a nail trim. I will definitely be taking both of my labs there for baths soon.

It's was hard finding a groomer that really took great care of my pups... till I found Shannon. She's without a doubt one of the best groomers out there. She's professional, caring, attentive and flexible. Her pricing is on point and I know my furry babies are being well taken care of while they are with her.

Such a great place to have your dog groomed. They treat the dogs as if they're their own dogs. So friendly & accommodating. We won't be going anywhere else but here with both our dogs.

Awesome groomers! I work in the plaza and I see dogs come in and out all day, happy and looking their very best. People are always telling me how happy they are with them too. Whenever I go in they have dogs out, giving them treats, loving on them, etc. Really such an amazing place to take your dog! They really love animals and it's easy to see. Cant recommend them enough!

I recently took my Boston Terrier puppy in for a quick bath and nail trim and I was very pleased. He came out with nice, short nails and he smelled wonderful! The owner is very sweet and took great care of my dog. Her prices were very reasonable as well. I will definitely return and recommend to fellow dog owners. ????
