This place immediately caught that my two year old Rottweiler had undiagnosed Addison’s syndrome and was in immediate need of serious attention! Within an hour, they had her booked into VCA of Downers Grove (another great place). The kindness and care that Dr. Oesterling and the technicians at the front desk showed us was unprecedented and like nothing I have ever experienced before! Thank you all from the bottom of my family’s hearts❤️

My 1st visit to this clinic. My Maltese turned 4 months old and required vaccinations. The staff member I spoke with was able to get me in the next day. They explained all the required vaccinations and began with the necessary items needed. I met with the veterinarian and she was “second to none”! I’m very pleased with the service, professionalism, and attentive to my needs. This is a well organized, very clean, and convenient clinic! Thank you for providing the services pet owners need!

Our dog had a tick that was too stuck for us to remove on our own. The Animal Care Center of Shorewood (here), got us a same-day appointment and took care of everything. The doctor removed the tick, cleaned the area, and gave us clear, easy to understand guidance on future and preventative care for our dog. Including answering other questions we had. He never made us feel "rushed" to leave. All of the staff were compassionate, friendly, and knowledgeable. They took such great care of all of us. Thank you!

I once believed in this clinic I had to fight a bill they where trying to pin on me because of my x. I had to proof so much it's horrible so my x drop of dog and they tried to say I was responsible mind you I have my own dog that went there he is a German shepherd thank God the vet said I never seen her with that dog. I once would tell people to go there now I say go somewhere else where they care not about making money and putting a vet bill that's not mine. Also if you do don't use an emergency contact because that's what I was with my x dog I was the emergency contact I didn't know I would have to fight a bill due to x not because responsible

I am a new customer of Animal Care Center, and have been so pleased with their transparency, care and attention, and responsiveness. They came through when I was in need, and I really appreciated the extra effort they made to help with care for my pup. Highly recommend!

Made an appointment for 2 shots, office visit and grooming. "treatment Plan" they presented was over $338 PLUS grooming. My drop off person signed so I had no choice but to pay. Moral of the story if you can't drop off the dog yourself and decline what they are ripping you off for, don't go. If you want to be disrespected talk to Shelly. When I questioned this huge bill she insinuated I don't take care of my dog.AWFUL she told me to call the owner if I don't like it. Only good there here is Sandy the groomer, my dog loves her.

We have been going here for a few years. Up until the past 6 months, they were outstanding. Now, we are no longer going. Such a drastic change in customer service. A couple weeks ago we received the wrong dosage of medication for our dog. The bottle label was correct, the pills were double the dosage. We returned it and they corrected it, but still. Today we had an appointment for a rabies vaccine. Sat in the room for an hour. Someone came in to sell us on a yearly plan, but the vet never came in. We went out and asked if the vet would be in soon. No explanation. We were told we could just leave our dog there. We ended up leaving.

Place is more interested in selling you membership plans than treating your pets. The vets seem nice if you ever actually get to see them. I'll be looking for a new vet as this place is more of a corporate profit center.

Complete waste of money. We are on the monthly wellness plan for visits and they are always "booked up" even though the parking lot is damn near empty and they do not take walk ins. They always refer other clinics to go visit. Save yourself …

It took me 2 weeks to get an appointment, I thought I was told to arrive at 8am for drop off. Apparently they window is from 7-8am. When I arrived with my 2 dogs at 8:10 and was told they could no longer take me! That will be my first and last time I ever use this facility!!

Don’t take your pets here unless you are ok with waiting a week or so to get an appointment. Every time I have tried to get an apt for my puppy (a cut that looked a little infected and an eye infection) they NEVER have an appointment. No her infected eye can not wait a week! And no the cut that is starting to look infected can not wait a week. Further… not really an emergency either. They continue to send me elsewhere bc they can’t get our puppy in to be seen in a reasonable amount of time. Like why do I have the petly program when it is impossible to get in to see the vet and I have to pay over $100 for an office visit?!?! It just blows my mind that they have no appointments set aside for immediate care for animals. This place is a disgrace and once we are done with this year commitment we signed up for, we will for sure be going somewhere else (because that is where they keep sending us). Just sad!

Took our dog here to get groomed. When we picked her up we noticed a huge wound on her ear. Look I know accidents can happen but they never even mentioned it to us. It was REALLY bad. Took over a month to heal. AND she was biting, itching her legs and had to take her to the vet to figure out what was wrong and I guess if they don't wash her after they cut her hair they can get hot spots and it can get really itchy. So it was a really awful experience that cost over $80 dollars. And they said they manager would call us about it all and they never did. Shows how much they care. We stopped going.

Aggressive sales tactics, rude manager, and no love for animals whatsoever. I I had to tell the groomer not to drag my dog by the neck on the floor because he didn't want to go in and to pick him up. 10 lbs dog. When i complained i was told, if I dont like it i don't have to ho there. Get this ... By the manager. I was with them for 6 years. Im done with this outfit.

Jessica the receptionist manager told me to come back tomorrow as that is the next available appointment as I stressed my concern to her that my dogs stitches were reopening and oozing. Thanks for telling me how important my dog is to you Jessica!!!

I love bringing my dog and cat to see Dr. Hlad! She always gives me options, and gives her honest recommendations of tests or treatment. It’s nice to see her engaging with the pets (pre-covid), you can see she is passionate about animal medicine. I also appreciate that Dr. Hlad answers all my questions thoroughly and I never feel rushed. Dr. Buchanan is also a great doctor. He helped with my cat’s injury and was great at explaining everything and took the time to answer ALL my questions, even though I saw the parking lot was busy! The entire team is wonderful here, I have never had a poor experience, only wonderful ones. I moved to Chicago and STILL drive in to see Dr. Hlad and Dr. Buchanan! I would recommend Dr. Buchanan, Dr. Hlad, and the team to anyone in the area or close areas in search of a new veterinarian for their fur babies! I have sent many family and friends here :)

TERRIBLE!!! Been here a few times. Every time I come there’s always a problem with billing, over charging the wrong amount. I was paying $60.20 Got charged over $600. And on top of that they did it to my nephew also in deference in amount

Great service and great doctors they answered all my questions and told me to call at any time with questions. I signed up my puppy for their plan. I will also be taking my other 2 dogs. Great and friend staff.

Took my dog in for a grooming came out with a $322 bill and Kennel cough. And now they won't answer us. Every time we go there it a different story on what the dog needs. But the last time when we took him in they have us some 144 $ meds we didn't ask for and kennel cough. Called them about the kennel cough and haven't heard back. Will never again will go back.

I have called this location various times when I have questions on their services and medical concerns about my pets. They are always available, responsive and welcoming even though I was just inquiring. I decided that they were a better place to take my pets, thanks to their responsiveness and patience. My pets are now registered as patients. Thank you for kindness.

This Vet wowed me, today. During one of the toughest decisions, euthanasia, they were so patient and supportive. I watched while the staff worked so hard to help people. This place really cares! ❤️

We had an emergency with our cat. They were able to get her in. They did a thorough exam including x-rays. She was dehydrated and constipated. They gave her an IV and some vitamins. They did bllod work and urine tests. She also had a urinary tract infection. She was home within an hour and one half. They took great care of her.

My Dixie tore a ligament in her paw. Had to find a surgeon close by and fortunately, I did!! They took me in immediately after I called, surgery was performed and my precious Dixie was on the way to recovery. She spent two weeks at Shorewood (due to the fact i had stairs). The ladies there were so sweet and caring everytime I called for Dixie's progress. So pleasant and informative. I would recommend this place with 10 stars!!!

gave us the wrong information about our dog who ended up passing away. sent us home giving us false hope, and he had to suffer for almost 2 weeks without us knowing.
