Dr. Rowland is great he has been taking care of my little ones for 14yrs always very informative and takes the time to explain procedures from my Labs to my Cats he’s the best highly recommend

Extremely friendly staff, and Doc is very passionate.

First time that I came to Rowland I did not know what to expect. To my surprise, the staff is friendly and Dr. Rowland is a HOOT! The prices are reasonable and the place is very clean and inviting.

I am so happy I finally found a vet that really cares. Dr. Rowland and his staff are wonderful. We weren't rushed at all during our visit, my dog was comfortable with them. Nor did I have to wait an hour in my car and then wait an hour in the waiting room to see a vet. I am truly happy with them and so is my dog. A client forever. Thank you Dr. Rowland and Staff you are amazing.

Front staff was not professional or courteous. Asked about appointment openings for our pet having some issues. My wife was attending to our 1 year old, so I called early in the morning and there was one open spot for the same day which was not expected so I asked to hold the appointment for 2 minutes while I confirmed with my wife she can run him up there same day. Front desk was not accommodating and required a yes or no answer in that moment and she was very rude on the phone. I then asked about the next few days and was given snarkey comments how they were "booked up". I can understand that but I was still not provided a future date/time that is available. After my call, vet called my wife and offered to hold the same appointment I referenced above when I called in. How can holding an appointment not be an option when I call but is when the vet calls my wife? We have been going here for 5 years, looking for a new vet now. DR Rowland is great and we liked him a lot but the front desk staff is a deal breaker.

I was a happy customer with them but as of now dr. Rowland is like all the rest of the vets that are pushing apoquel. Giant kickback from the drug companies hmmmm willing to bet. Hanging up on customers because I disagree with you is not the solution to the problem. They have gone down hill in the past 6 months. Ever since they brought in other vets things have been not so great. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, dont waste your money with this place or with rowland.

We've been taking our pets here for 10 years and we've always been so happy! Our old man Oliver needed a surgery this last week and they've been great.

Doc has always been great with Boots and takes the time to explain everything. He never rushes us in and out.

I really enjoyed my Dr. Rowland. His enthusiasm and so down to earth personality was very inviting and reassuring. Would definitely recommend.

RUN as fast as possible!!! don't look back EVER!!! this doc may have a good bed side manner but he did aid in the pain and death of our labrador. Rowland Did nothing but give shots and meds acting as if he'll be good as new afterwards to take home which were very costly and my baby died that next night. I pray for all you mama's and papa's with sick babies so please if this helps just one person also share with everyone you know. DON'T BRING YOUR ANIMAL'S TO THIS VETERINARIAN.This makes me so sad but I feel the need to help anyone I can. God bless

Been going to doc for about 20 or 25 years he is the best.

I have brought my pets to Dr. Rowland for many years. He is the most caring Vet I have ever had. His genuine love for animals is demonstrated with every visit. Dr. Rowland communicates in a simple way that makes you feel at ease and at home! He has a great personality! I highly recommend Rowland Animal Clinic!

As usual they are the best, especially during the Pandemic. They love all animals and treat each dog like your dogs is there s. Which leads to great results.

The staff here is the rudest. I had been going to him off and on for years and had referred several people whom have also stopped going after awhile. I had taken in a 3 week old black Burmese kitten that I rescued and he was very sick. I got charged for 5 different meds and deworming. I took him back like 10 days later and doc was shocked to see me. I brought the kitten back as instructed for another paid appt for a check up. He was shocked he had lived. If he didn't think he was going to live why waste all of my money as I was on disability and he knew I had been for years before and had referred my family members. However... my cat did live and I was told it was thanks to me bottle feeding him and taking care of him that really saved him. He lived 20 years & 1 month. I just lost him suddenly on Nov. 1,2020 and it broke my heart. I've tried to make an appts and the staff kept giving me excuses and wanted my credit card to hold in case I missed the appt. Several times I've tried calling in the past and there was no answer during working hours. In 2012, First took the another of my kitties to Chicago ridge animal hospital for an emergency surgical procedure and he caught 2 viruses while there for a week and brought it home to all of my fur babies. So I I tried taking in the 3yr old little black siamese little girl to Dr.. Rowlands and the staff was very rude... talked to me like garbage and took in several ' better off- wealthier' patients before me. I kept telling them she was very sick and needed to be seen! I waited over 2 hrs and was told my cat was in liver failure and needed a feeding tube, but she was too sick to make it through what he was going to charge me $3,000 for and yet didn't think she would survive. I got charged to be told she was in liver failure and he refused to do anything cept attempt a feeding tube that she probably wouldn't survive. I called a family friend, thank you Christina C., who works at a local clinic and told me to come see her dr. I went to Timberline on Frontage RD and Dr. HITT not only saved her in 2012, she's still alive today 1/14/21! For $400 he saved her. I've been rescuing since before 1998. My oldest cat I rescued in 1998 and he's 30 years old last October (2020). He's still alive today! 4/22/21. He's also a black Burmese. Dr Rowland was always nice, but shouldn't charge so much for starters compared to other vets locally. His staff are purely money hungry and very rude!!! I asked him once if I could make payments and he said to ask the staff, they run the books. He doesn't run his own office! I asked and I was refused to see the dr and they tried to charge me $25 for a no show when I was standing right there. Dr. HITT at Timberline has always worked with me on everything and he's so compassionate. When my cat passed at home naturally in November, his staff and him all signed and sent me a sympathy card for my loss. Now that's a good, kind & compassionate vet! Goto Timberline Animal Hospital on Frontage RD (just passed Black rd) in Joliet if you really care about your family pet. (Picture is my little girl that was sick in 2012. This was taken just about 2 weeks ago. She's doing great. She's a rare black siamese. I owned the siamese parents that were rescued from a siamese breeder who didn't want mutated colored cats. My black cats have all been stronger than any other cat I've ever owned. 1/14/2021. Adopt black or wrong colored cats. They deserve a home also.)

Reasonable prices, friendly staff

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr Rowland and staff. Have been going here for years and won't let anyone else touch my fur babies. There's absolutely no doubt he loves what he does and I have never felt like I overpaid for any visit. He takes his time and listens. Thanks Doc for all you do!!!

Love the positive support and help for my lil four legged friend .. and Dr Rowland had to be on my top TOP 10 list for a funny happy place to bring it lil freind too !
