Huge thank you to Kristen J, Ivy's Technician and Dr. Vogel. What was just suppose to be a regular lab check up turned into unexpected seizures from Ivy after not having any for three months. Thank you all for your responsiveness and compassion. I am so grateful.

Feeling very betrayed. We will no longer be going here.

We took our 13 week old puppy, Anastasia, for a well puppy check. They were fantastic! The vet tech came out and answered all of our pre appointment questions and asked if we had any concerns to bring up to the doctor, then took her in. Like 15 minutes later, the doctor, Dr. Novak, came out and talked to us and answered all our questions. They were amazing. We definitely have our new vet!

I called an hour ago and the lady that answered was caring, sweet, understanding and super helpful. She gave me excellent advice and eased my worries. Thank you! We hope we’ll never have a reason to come... but if we do, we’re coming to you! Thanks again! ❤️

This is the WORST hospital. They will kill your dog. Dont go here if you love your pets.

The staff are friendly, courteous and very helpful. Dr. Vogel has cared for my senior cat since 2016. She is wonderful! She is professional, compassionate, and I can see that she genuinely cares about my pet. I am also impressed and extremely grateful that she makes herself available to take my phone calls or return my call if she's unavailable at the time. SCVC is our veterinarian for life.

Had my dog in for a cut paw. She started limping 6 hours after her visit (she wasn’t limping when I brought her in). I brought dog back (18 hours later) and was charged for another visit. Seriously? Maybe your office did something poorly. And o have to pay?! Lost this family of 6 dogs!!

Recently moved to the area and my dog's allergies are HORRIBLE. They were able to get me an appointment same day. Dr. Martens was transparent and informative throughout the entire process of finding the best treatment for my dog. Their safety practices during this COVID pandemic are great as well.

Amazing people work here. They're so compassionate and care so much for what they do. I could never properly thank them for helping me through such a rough time. Thank you so much for doing everything you could for my Apollo.

My cat needed surgery. The front staff, technicians, and Dr Martens were wonderful. Their kindness, compassion and professionalism did not go unnoticed. Dr Martens thoroughly answered all my questions. Without hesitation I knew my cat was in good hands . Highly recommend

We’ve been using this clinic for just over a year. Every experience we have had there has been so pet focused. They have a wonderful front desk staff, great techs, and Dr. Todd is the best and most caring vet I have ever encountered. One of our dogs was diagnosed with lymphoma in February 2020. He sat with me and answered all my questions. He didn’t sidestep a thing. We put her on a palliative care program, and after nine weeks, she died peacefully at home. The staff was very caring when we called about and when we delivered her remains. They left a note for Dr. Todd letting him know Skipper had died, and he called the next time he was on duty. I was so touched. We will continue to bring our surviving dog and our future dog to this clinic. Their entire staff is incredibly skilled and caring.

Sadly I had to let my little Lola go today, this is the second chihuahua Dr. Faraone has had to help me say goodbye to. Everyone was extremely professional and courteous in very difficult times. I highly recommend them, especially Dr Faraone

I called to make an appointment for my dog's rabies vaccination and was told that since my dog hasn't been seen in a long time I would be charged a $50 pet wellness exam fee. I have been going to this clinic for less than a year. She was examined less than a year ago. Then the office manager tries to tell me this is required by state law for a rabies vaccination. This is a lie. I explain that The Pet Well Clinic in Lisle and Vetco Clinics at Petco do these vaccinations without any office exam. She tells me these people are at risk of losing their licenses. Again, not true. I have spent well over a thousand dollars at St. Charles Veterinary Clinic and the fact they will not waive their "wellness exam" fee for a standard rabies vaccination when they just examined her less than a year ago is absolutely ridiculous. Also, I explained we all know my dog is not well. She's around 16 years old and is basically on hospice. She is prescribed pain medication as there is nothing more they can do for her. I ask if perhaps they can just write a waiver letter stating she be exempt from the vaccination due to her poor health. The office manager talks to the doctor and calls me back saying the doctor says she is well enough for the rabies vaccination. Really? But you are still going to charge me a wellness exam fee when you have already determined she is well enough?! All about the money. I was also charged $22.50 for a nail trim on a previous visit. I was shocked. A human could get a manicure for that much. Also, every single medication they have prescribed my pet I can get much, much cheaper through the pharmacy. The manager is offended I say they are all about the money, but look at the facts. I will now be driving my elderly dog on a very uncomfortable drive to Lisle to get her vaccination because I can not afford a $50 fee, especially for an unnecessary "wellness exam" money making scam.

The treatment and care they provide is the best in the area. You can tell the vets really do care about the well being of your pet and will everything they can to help. Of course, that level of care does come with a cost but its absolutely worth it.

Visited for emergency services and waited over 100 minutes before any assessment of my dog’s injury or condition was conducted. No triage. No evaluation. Nothing. This clinic should not advertise emergency services capabilities if they are neither staffed nor prepared to provide this services.

Thank you for your kindness but I had to see my baby die in my home. I had to wrap her up on my own. I had to self diagnose on my own. And I cleaned up on my own. I handed her over to a nurse and she was gone. I got a fee for cremation which I understand but $50 for an ER fee is sooo outrageous. Shameful to charge me to hand over my baby who I wrapped and drove over just to hand her body to a stranger.

Excellent staff, from the Doctors to the counter staff, a very positive, personal, and experienced group of people. Would highly recommend, as it doesn’t have the impersonal feel of the corporate controlled Veterinary hospitals.

St. Charles Veterinary Clinic has been the primary vet for every pet my family has owned since 1978.(8 dogs, 2 cats and a hamster). They have ALWAYS been outstanding in their service and care of our family members. The doctors are awesome and the staff regularly go above and beyond. I can always count on them to care.

The doctor and medical staff were wonderful in our time of need last week! Considering it was an emergent visit on a holiday and we had a very sick dog, all the staff treated us with compassion, respect and professionalism!! Unfortunately we lost our beloved dog, but the staff helped us through a very difficult decision and tended to all our needs. We would highly recommend this facility and all it’s staff. You have touched our badly broken hearts, and we are so glad you allowed us to spend our dogs last moments together!!

Horrific experience. My dog died in the hands of st charles vet. I took my bulldog in because she seemed under the weather, diahrea. As we walked across the parking lot into st charles vet, she got slower. I noticed as we walked up to the door she was having trouble breathing. She collapsed in the entry way as the people at the desk just watched as I tried to pick up my dog.. her lips were blue she could hardly walk. they watched as I asked for help they just stood up out of their chairs. I walked to the desk 65 lb dog in my arms asking to see a dr. They made me check in and wait. Once they finally got me to the doctor.. we waited 15 more minutes to see him the whole time I told them look at her she isnt well shes having trouble breathing. They told me the dr will be in shortly. When the dr came in he proceeded to examine her, still no oxygen as she panted and struggled to breath. He continued to take xrays and came back 15 minutes later and said she has a tumor. I asked him to show me where, he couldnt. He said he wasn't sure but hes taking a SHOT IN THE DARK. Still no oxygen given. I begged him to help my dog and get her in oxygen. He said hell keep her for 2 hours for observation. By the time I got home the scumbag doctor called me to say My English Bulldog has died. THEY WAITED, THEY WATCHED, THEY DID NOTHING TO HELP. THEY GUESSED, THEY ARE NOT DOCTORS AT ALL. THEY TAKE MONEY AND GIVE SHOTS THAT IS IT!!! Second dog was not feeling well, needed help getting him out of the car. The attendants came out put the dog on a stretcher AND DROPPED MY DOG.... Injuring his leg for 6 months. THEY ARE COMPLETE IDIOTS. The emergency care is even worse. They could not figure out why my dog was breathing so rapidly, couldnt even get a damn chest xray right. Told me to leave him there he would die overnight. I grabbed my dog that now couldnt walk because they injured his leg and took him TO VCA AURORA. Diagnosed him with congestive heart failure, medicated him and he lived 4 happy years. ST CHARLES VET IS TERRIBLE. THESE ARE FACTS I HAVE LISTED. MY DOG IS DEAD IN THEIR CARE. IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMALS DO NOT GO HERE. YOU WILL FIND OUT THE HARD WAY. RIP STELL MY PRETTY GIRL.

This place is awful. I was there on a Saturday afternoon at 6pm, and there wasn't an employee to be seen. We saw only 1 vet working and seemed to be really taking her time. We waited and rang the bell at the front desk for service so we …

My cat had an injury on his nose that wasn't healing and it was making me nervous. I was able to make an appointment right away. The front desk was extremely helpful when I called and just as sweet when we came in for our appointment. The vet took her time with me to explain what had caused his injury and got us an ointment that helped him heal up in no time! You can tell the staff at St Charles Veterinary Clinic truly loves your animals. They will be our permanent animal doctor. Highly recommend!

Dr. Labak is just so sweet. The first time she met my older dog she got on the floor and played with him for a good five minutes to get him calm enough to examine. He gets REALLY excited when we go to the vet. You can tell she really loves her job and the animals. She also took time time to listen and discuss all my concerns with me when we were thinking about adding a dog to our family. Of course when I brought our new puppy in for an appointment she just loved him. I've also seen Dr. Aaron and he's great too! Super nice guy and very thorough. I always have a good experience when I go there.

Our Golden has been a patient of Dr. Martens' since she was a puppy and she has received excellent care throughout her life. She is 12 now and Dr. Martens continues the excellent care and helping us through life with a senior dog. We took our last dog to another vet in the area, but chose this practice for our puppy. We pass several veterinary practices on our way to this clinic, and are happy to travel for the excellent care everyone provides.

I can not express my gratitude enough. I am so glad i chose to take my furry children to this clinic. Dr. Todd is the perfect vet for me. He is logical and down to earth. You can also tell that he really loves animals and provides great care. He also takes the time to make sure that you understand what is happening with your animal. He explains everything thoroughly in a way that you can easily comprehend. I am an openly admitted hypochondriac (especially with my dogs) and I always feel at ease after a visit with Dr. Todd. I also want to give Vet tech Matt props too. He goes above and beyond and it makes all of the difference!! Thank you Everyone at St. Charles Veterinary Clinic!!
