Wonderful, caring and amazing staff.

Took my cat to Loyal Companions for the first time today and looked the whole experience. From having a cat only entrance, to going straight to the exam room, it was all very well done. My cat enjoyed the large picture window in the room with a bird feeder right outside. Usually other vet offices have a stainless steel table they examine the cats on, but not here. They did the whole exam from the window ledge my cat was sitting on while watching the world outside. I couldn’t be more thrilled to find such a wonderful place to take my beloved Katy Purry!

Our first visit was amazing. Our fearful pup loved it. Would recommend to anyone. I actually felt like we were at a concierge vet. We were greater at the door with a friendly smile and addressed my name. The tech addressed everything and the vet answered all of our questions. My pup was at ease at all times- very different from other vet visits.

They took great care of my 17ish year old cat. He won the staff over with his charm, so they accepted that he was a high maintenance cat, but I am certain that they would have taken care of a mean old cat just the same.

Wonderful staff and such cute fur-babies! Highly recommend.

Loyal Companions are fantastic. My dog loves going there. He is a pain sometimes, but they are very sensitive to his behavior and accommodate his needs!

They are great. They separate the large and small dogs. They also don't just let any dog, they have to be good dogs. I appreciate this detail of quality over quantity. Shows they actually care.

We cannot say enough good things about Loyal Companions. From their vet care to their daycare, they treat animals, and their owners, so compassionately. Our rescue dog Dottie has separation anxiety and they’ve been nothing but wonderful from vet care to day care. With their “Fear Free” certification we’d never want to go anywhere else.

I was very impressed with the caring and compassion they showed to my Beagle Max. Instead of hoisting him up on a table at the vet's comfort level, the vet actually got down on the floor with him to treat him. That's a first! They gave him treats the whole time to distract him, another first! Overall very satisfied with their service. Will definitely use them again, and would highly recommend them.

My dog is terrified of the vet because of a past experience- he is safe and calm with Loyal Companions. The staff is committed to quality care. They found ways to be friendly even during the pandemic.

Amazing place! Everyone was super friendly and made Kitty feel comfortable. I absolutely love that they separate the entrances for cats and dogs and my anxiety was low because my fiance was able to come in with me. Highly recommend!!

I have a chow and he is HORRIBLE at the vet. Muzzle, sedatives and all. This is the first vet I have ever been to where they help with different ways to make sure your pet isn’t scared and give you the best options so that both exams/procedures can be done stress free. I would never take my dog to another vet. Highly recommend Dr. Petsche to any pet owner, but especially for dogs who are more triggered in these situations.

We had our first visit yesterday and they surpassed my expectations. I adopted my dog (Heaven) at 6 months and she was afraid of the world. Almost 2 years later she's made huge progress, but since the vet is a once a year thing she's still fearful and shy since she doesn't have enough experience with it. Dr. Petsche and her staff did an amazing job navigating her nervousness! They came in with treats of all kinds, a thunder shirt, and endless patience. If she got too nervous to take treats they stopped the exam and gave her a break. They even did a great job asking questions of me to make sure they really understood her and her unique needs. At the end of the appointment she still had her little doggy smile - That has never happened before! I won't take her anywhere else now!

I will never go back to a non Fear Free animal hospital after taking my two cats (who are my kids!) to Loyal Companions. Dr. Petsche, Dr. Newenham, and Dr. Wahlund are the best of the best - your pet will be treated like family. All of the equipment is top notch, blogs are updated with great information, staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and has your best interest in mind, and the cat specific exam rooms help my cats feel right at home. Do yourself and your pets a favor and schedule an appointment!

Force free and savvy, Dr. Petsche and tech Nancy were amazing with my Coco! Coco could not have asked for better treatment and care. I am so thankful Dr. Petsche takes the time to do right by our animal friends!

I absolutely adore this clinic. As the owner of a highly anxious and reactive dog, vet visits have become a huge struggle and nearly always resulted in sedation just for an annual exam and vaccines. For the first time in the nearly four years since I adopted my dog, we were able to complete his annual exam and vaccines without a single bark from my dog (except for one when he met a new person). Better yet, we were able to complete what was necessary without sedation. Dr. Petsche and her staff are so incredibly kind and understanding, and are knowledgeable in body language and keeping pets below their threshold. They have an unbelievable amount of patience and I cannot say enough kind words about this clinic. The facility is also very clean and the exam room is spacious and I love the little ottoman they have available for the dogs. I am so glad I found this clinic and cannot thank them enough!!

I really like this clinic; the staff is friendly, responsive and really takes the time to get a full history and understand your pets needs. I wasn't able to go with my dog for her appointment for to distancing requirements, but I could see her through the window during her exam and the vet kept me on speaker phone. I really appreciate being kept informed in such an active manner; and they followed up with test results and a request for my dog's status the following day. *Four stars instead of five only bc I started using this clinic during the pandemic and (understandably!!) haven't been able to see the facilities for myself yet. I will update once I actually get to see the rooms and meet the veterinarian!

Loyal Companions is an AMAZING practice that I highly recommend to any pet parent!! My husband and I have two rescue dogs that have been treated by the doctors and techs at Loyal Companions. We moved to Saint Charles in 2019 and transitioned the care of our first dog to Loyal Companions within a month because he had a bad episode of vomiting. Dr. Wahlund and Nancy provided such kind, compassionate care. We were so impressed by the layout of the facility (separate entrances for dogs and cats, no waiting room - right to an exam room, scale set into the floor) and cleanliness and comfort of the rooms (chairs for humans, comfy covered ottoman up against a big window for the pups). We were given a range of treatment options for our dog with prices and were treated respectfully as we made the decision that we felt was best for our dog and our budget! Recently, we adopted our foster dog. He had a terrible experience with the vet we had to use while we were fostering him and were thrilled to bring him to Loyal Companions as soon as he was officially adopted. Our new dog went from an animal who had to be heavily sedated from growling and lunging at staff in the previous vet office to a dog who laid calmly and allowed the entire exam to happen without a single sign of stress with Dr. Petsche and Tash. I can't begin to explain our relief! The staff here take their time and never make you feel rushed in the office or on the phone. I feel like this practice caters to us "crazy pet parents" who treat our animals as if they are our children. They use a variety of methods to keep visits "fear free" from anxiety medication to calming caps to high reward treats. Thank you, Loyal Companions!!

The vet was nice enough during our initial visit, however we needed a follow up vaccine shot. The shot was supposed to be a couple days later. COVID-19 happened and the vet was not answering their phone or responding to voice mails. When we finally got a hold of the office and scheduled the vaccine, we were told since it had been weeks since our dog has last been in, we needed to pay for another check up as well as several other additional items. I asked to speak to the veterinarian about this and when she called me back, I told her my wife left several voicemails to get in earlier, but received no call back. She told me my wife was a liar. If they had received voicemails they would have called back. Unfortunately this veterinarian office appears to try to add on additional line items to increase your bill and isn't above calling you a liar for questioning their service.

They're always super friendly and flexible. Everyone there truly love animals. You can pay a few dollars for an app to get streaming video access of your pet while you're traveling.

Love this place, and more importantly so does my dog! High caliber of care with attention to the pet's entire well-being.

A wonderful experience for my Molly. This clinic is certified FEAR FREE and if you have not experienced this type of practice I highly recommend you take your pet here. Not all practices are this progressive, this is another level of veterinary care, give your pet the best!

I love the website but i prefer going inside the store. The employees are friendly and have helped me shop. At times telling me not to waste my money on things they did not think i needed. I trust what they recommend is more than them trying to sell things.
