I live out of town due to the military but have taken my cat here before while visiting family, and called to inquire about a medication. Said medication has been out of stock online, where I normally buy it, for weeks and I’m running out while traveling and can’t have it shipped until I get home. It’s been even more difficult since I moved this year and no longer live in the state the medication was prescribed in. In all seriousness, I’m just trying to take care of my cat because he needs this medication daily. It’s one thing if the woman I spoke to had said something like, “no, I’m sorry but we can’t help you,” but I was told, “well, we haven’t seen your cat in 4 years.” Well, that’s not by choice. I’m not a negligent owner, and I don’t go to any other local vets; I move states every 2-3 years because of the military and am only here a few weeks a year. No sense in arguing, so I didn’t explain myself further, but the tone of the woman I spoke to was unnecessarily rude. I had good experiences here in the past, but am disappointed in the lack of compassion.

Staff is very friendly, clean facility, and doctor was clear, to the point, and thorough. Have had a good experience with rescheduling appointments or getting in for emergency visits!

Very busy place but kind n caring staff n vets. Well oiled machine n they work to keep everyone safe from pandemic issues. Bellaire grooming is in the same building n I can't say enough about Shane who grooms our pup. Always a great experience n our pup doesn't mind going ever!

This place does not have any concept or customer service. Not the front of house nor the vet I spoke with.

Bellwood Animal Hospital has provided excellent care to our pets for several years now. Most recently, their staff treated our beloved dog gently and showed great patience, compassion, and understanding when it came time for us to say our final goodbye to her. It was never going to be easy, but they did everything they could to not make it harder, and we will be forever grateful for that.

I used to take my cat and dog here about 8 years ago, so when I moved back to town with a new dog I scheduled an appointment right away. It has changed a lot. I LOVE that they are taking COVID-19 precautions. However, it was so expensive that I cannot afford to use their services anymore.

They are always wonderful with my fur baby (dog). She gets nervous and they work with her. Also never tried to up sell me things we don't need.

It's certainly gone downhill over the years especially now that they sold out to a conglomerate

Don't take your loved ones to this place. Staff is not very helpful and friendly, unfortunately. Dr. Nelson doesn't have enough of experience and knowledge, what is leading your loved ones to suffer.

I have been bringing my pets to Bellwood vets for 54 years. Love the care, professional services, and great staff employed here!

I find rebates to be a total run around. Sometimes they aren’t even worth the hassle. Why do I have to go to your website? Fill out forms? Check my email for follow ups? It’s annoying. Well- I’m am so PLEASED that Bellwood took care of my Heart Guard rebate entirely! THANK YOU so much for taking the time and providing me with that service. You made my day.

Dr Beth is the best! She's always professional and knowledgeable. She explains everything fully and is so patient when answering our questions.

I am not happy with this place. My family has been going to this place since before I was even born for our dogs. However, I took my 7-year-old guinea pig, who could not walk, eat, or drink on her own here fully expecting to put her down. Instead, they checked her out, gave me a way to hand feed, put her on two medications, gave me a $300 bill, and told me she should be better in a few days. She died less than three days later and suffered the whole time. When I brought her in on Friday she could not even walk and was barely moving on her own. They decided that was good enough for them and sent her home with me. Ever since they got new owners, it's been more about the money than the animals. Go somewhere else if you value your pet and their quality of life.

Everyone here is wonderful, so caring so passionate. Charlie will usually lead the girls to the back, he knows the way.
