I’ve had two of my rats euthanized here and they’ve been nothing but kind, professional, and caring. When I had to euthanize my first girl I was so scared they’d treat her poorly because of her species. I was expecting the staff to be scared of her or grossed out, but they were gentle and so loving. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

Shouldn't take hours to see a pet.

As a business owner I find that charging an emergency rate for a regular check up absurd. We have been a long standing customer and understand being short staffed. What business isn’t short staffed? I don’t charge my customers more for that reason.

If your pet is actually having an emergency, DO NOT come here. We have been waiting for 3 hours now with a SICK DOG. We were told it would be a two hour wait for a room and to go home until they called… they called 30 minutes later and we were so thankful that our dog would be seen soon…. 3 hours later in the room…. Still haven’t been seen. While other patients have been in and out in that time. Is our emergency not urgent enough? How do they decide which animals have a chance????

The worst place you can take a dog…. Money is all that matters to them. DO NOT RECOMMEND

My dog was very sick and they advantage of our desperation to save our dog. They quoted us over $5000 for the cost of a surgery that would save our dogs life. We were devastated by the cost and where considering euthanizing our baby because of it. Thanks to a second opinion we were able to save her life tonight. And the surgery was 4500 dollars less!!! This place needs to be shut down!!! They are taking advantage of desperate people who are afraid of losing their family member.

Long waits, unprofessional, DONT GO HERE. My new puppy was sick and was told to wait 10 minutes in the car, but that turned into 2 hours and my puppy died in the car while we were waiting. NEVER GO HERE!

Recently adopted a puppy, brought him in for a wellness check in which they charged me an emergency office visit fee, and when I caught it after they rang me out I asked for a refund of which they said they would just leave a balance on my account for my next appointment. I said no I want the money back to which it took three different phone calls to accomplish that. I also needed a prescription filled for the pup and they told me I was getting one prescription and to pay over the phone. After agreeing to pay by phone my $20 prescription was suddenly $128. I let them know I believe that was incorrect and they responded with “oh my mistake, yes it’s only $20. I reluctantly paid over the phone to find out they gave me a different medication then stated. Not worth the headache or the hassle to get serviced. Clearly more about the money then the pet at this office.

I brought my Chihuahua there when I had to put him to sleep. I wish I had brought him there because maybe his life would have been prolonged. For the tenderness they showed him during his transition, I chose to bring my kitten for ER care. They were very kind and he's doing much better now. 1 star only because I had to wait outside because before I had arrived, I wasn't asked over the telephone nor told how the procedure would be if I did visit them which would be how one has to wait, etc.

They do not take appointments anymore and expect you to wait 4 to 6 hours for routine shots. If your there after 8:00 you will get charged more money. I used to go here all the time. It’s different now. Sad I’ll have to find somewhere else. I don’t know why they changed. I guess if you can get there when they open you have a good chance of not having to wait too long but unfortunately I work. I went at 3:00 on a rainy Wednesday and the wait was 6 hours!

We used this vet for our dog’s entire life and when it was time to say goodbye after an extended illness, they were phenomenal and incredibly kind during the ordeal. When we adopted a puppy a few years ago, we switched to a vet in our neighborhood as this was a big drive from our home. Our dog started presenting symptoms of a UTI and when we called our current vet, it was going to be days before we could have her seen. We came in to Animal Care Center of Plainfield as a walk in and she was seen within an hour, the vet and technicians were wonderful, and they diagnosed and treated her for a very serious bladder infection. Had we waited until our normal vet could see her, who knows what would have happened. I’m so thankful for their hardworking team!

Animal Care Centers handled the end-of-life process for our beloved dog, Rudy. They were unbelievably kind, gentle and patient throughout the whole time I was there. They explained every step and gave me all the time I needed for my final farewell. I will always be grateful for their loving kindness.

DO NOT try and get a regular injury looked at. All they care about is the people that have there special wellness plans! We had an injured cat paw and they refused to give us an appointment. But low and behold someone walks right up on a wellness plan and they were allowed to get an appointment multiple options when we were just told nothing was available at all. Also hollering at me you are completely book doesn’t change the fact I witnessed someone walking right up next to me securing an appointment. They do not care about treating animals all they care about is the precious reoccurring revenue off there wellness plans. Not to mention you have 5 staff members up front laughing giggling acting unprofessional and not one can wrap a paw or assist an injured animal. I am sure you can purchase a wellness plan and give this place 5 stars since you are a VIP but if you just have an animal you want treated run away run far away

Was the only animal hospital open in the western suburbs at the time that my pet needed emergency care. Not to mention the helpful staff and world-class veterinarians who helped us.

Horrible! One of my long highschool friends went there and was treated like absolute trash! Then they treated her dog even worse!!! The best part is they charged her a arm and a leg just to tell her they can't do anything to help. Idk how to give zero stars but they need to get their stuff together and find new people or shut the place down.

I have been a patient of this vet since 2004 when I moved here at one time I had four pets going there every year this place has declined In quality, service and become more money hungry I’m very disappointed they’ve changed their hours they change the rules on a whim. I don’t think it’s a good value nor do I feel they put your pets welfare first.

I highly recommend Animal Care Center of Plainfield. We had an 8 week old German Shepherd puppy who was very sick. From the moment we walked through the door, the staff was friendly and compassionate. We were seen immediately. Dr. Taylor was wonderful. Even though we had to put our baby to rest, I cannot say enough good things about ACC.

This animal clinic would not support my animal that was in pain told me to give it an equivalent medication to ibuprofen after saying my pet needed a new hip. If a human needs a new hip the dr is not sending the human home one ibuprofen

My best friend's dog got hit by a car, the woman helping her was barely help with 0% sympathy... acted so helpless to the situation with 0 care of what would have to happen during or after her shift. ER care is supposed to be ER care... also people's animals are their lives so when they chose to go into a place that they know they will pay an arm and leg for & someone gets careless it is more than disappointing. Hope you this place chooses better employees & practices

We brought our dog here for end of life care.. The decision to say goodbye to a beloved pet is so hard but they made it easier. Everyone was so compassionate.

Although their wait time is usually long, what I was told would be an hour wait was actually only 30 minutes. My dogs anxiety has become worse which has been difficult for any vet to accept him. Dr. Harris showed immense patience and mindfulness with my pet. She made sure him and I were comfortable with her suggestions.

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. Went here last night to their ER because we think our dog broke his leg and called ahead to confirm they were available and open which they said they were. Got there at 1030 pm and was told to wait in our car for 30 min. Once we got into a room they took the xrays pretty fast. However, we waited and waited and finally it was 1 am with no response on the xrays. Finally, we went up to the front desk where a nurse had told us that it would be another 2 hour wait because another dog was being treated with a more pressing emergency (delivery of puppies). We asked to speak to a manager as we already had the x rays done, our dog was in pain and no medicine was offered. The manager was EXTREMELY hostile and told us then that it would be 4-6 hours instead of another 2 meaning it could potentially take until almost 8 in the morning to wait in a tiny room with not enough seats for my family and I who were already sitting on the floor and the cold AC blasting. They refused to give our dog any care or help in his time of need and told us "we gave the dog a blanket" as that was some type of comfort for a broken leg. Would not call in another doctor to help with the other patients. Told us to leave if we didn't like it and offered no guidance on how to care for our dog once we did leave. Refused to release our x ray records to us so that we could take them to another vet in the morning to speed up the process of helping our dog. There would have been ZERO communication if we didn't ask what was going on 2 hours later at 1 in the morning and they could care less that they were asking us to wait another 6 hours. Extremely unprofessional place and a waste of time if you have an emergency visit. We now still have no answers on if our dog has a broken foot and are looking for someone to help us this morning.

Amazing animal hospital. I had to bring my cat in yesterday for an emergency visit and the entire staff was amazing. Very nice group of people and very helpful. I highly recommend Animal Care Center of Plainfield. Thank you all so much for the wonderful and gentle care you gave to my cat.

Horrible money hungry uncaring vet! Please consider going anywhere but here. They only care about making money and making people wait in heat for 3+ hours with sick pets! I came in on Sunday with my sick kitten. They didn't ask what type of pet I had or what the issues were they just made a point of telling me that it was $139 just to walk in and everything was double on Sunday because it was emergency services only. Also said wait time was in excess of 3 hours and I had to wait outside in car with sick pet. When it's over 85° and your car idles for that long it gets hot. I asked if it's OK if my Pat stayed inside the comfortable building and I would wait in my car and they refused. I asked if I can go home and come back in three hours instead of waiting and they told me no I would lose my place in line. Horrible for a place that should care for pets. Needless to say I went elsewhere and I will never ever go there or recommend their uncaring business. Pathetic is all I can say

Horrible horrible horrible. We called on three different occasions to get our dogs seen for severe medical issues. Due to Covid ( which an excuse that is growing quite old ) it would be weeks before they could be seen. We were told we could come and just sit to wait to be worked in. ( what about the risk of Covid makes sense with this ). We purchased a wellness plan to help offset costs, but can’t use them because we can’t get in when our dogs are sick. And there is no refund ( ask Julie about that and she will imply you aren’t smart enough to understand the contract you signed ). Also they took the money and then wanted to charge to cancel the contract. What!!!! All the while my dog is getting sicker. If you run an animal clinic and you accept walk-ins and ER then you should have an assigned doctor for those cases. They have plenty of office/grooming help because we witnessed them all standing around taking about face make up while we were waiting over an hour in the room with our dog. No water was offered to our dog during our wait nor did anyone come to check to see if we needed anything. As an office manager, if I ran my office this way I’d be losing patience left and right! Again, take our money and and offer services whenever you get around to it…horrible way to run a business. I hope the owners know how their staff is running their business. It’s a horrible way to offer care to our pets.
