We absolutely adore Dr. F and his staff! He has taken such great care of my dog mini and we are so thankful for the care mini receives here!

I have been going to Deergrove Animal Hospital since it originally opened. Take fantastic care of all my animals; both cats and dogs. I would never think of going elsewhere.

I would like to have a covid 19 booster shot but I cannot have an appoinent.How can I do.I was try to called and sent an e mail. But I cannot have a nothing.Would you tell me how can I do.

Dr. Mark is a great person and an amazing doctor to my puppy Groot! Groot has had a rough first year with his health, and Dr. Mark is always available to treat him. He has accepted us emergent post 6 pm walk-ins and stayed late to treat our puppy more than once. As new pet parents he takes the time to guide us so that we can keep Groot healthy. His clinic and staff are always available in times of emergency. Our calls are always returned in a timely fashion. We trust Dr. Mark with our puppy and feel so lucky to have found him!

I've always received the finest care and in the case of an emergency, my appointments have always been prioritized.

Great staff, great vet! They've done great with our pup so far!

Mark, I hope your good conscience will guide you to do the right thing for Marlene. Your negligence has caused the sudden loss of her new puppy. It’s caused her tremendously heartaches. Your lying and unethical behavior and your wife’s treatment of Marlene in the aftermath have worsen her suffering. We all make mistakes. As humans, we need to put ourselves in the others position in order for us get a glimpse of how they feel. Empathy and compassion are very healing for the victims and their counterparts. I implore you to do the right thing. What you’re doing is not ethical and will cause everyone to carry on the burden of this pain for the rest of their lives.

The veterinarian is the best of the best of the best! He handled both of our cats with ease, which no one was ever able to do. Our older cat bites and scratches anyone that's new and he was able to calm him down in a sec. The shots he gave to our cats didn't even hurt them and he did a complementary ear cleaning. He also gave us great advice on the things to buy for them and how to best take great care of our two beautiful ones. Let's just say he is one cool cat. Deer Grove Animal hospital is top notch and without a doubt the greatest animal hospital in the State.

Our problem with this vet is that he made a mistake and cost our puppy her life. If he was ethical and had some courage he would accept this, but he chooses to lie. The truth will come out Mark. We forgive the mistake because you are only human, but we cannot forgive the blatant lie you told to your insurance company. You were vulnerable and upset enough the day she died and admitted you were negligent, why after 2 weeks has your story changed? Is it because we asked for you to help us pay for a new puppy, when we are ready to try again? Is this not fair? Why does your wife hang up on us? I now want to tell everyone, and will to the best of my ability. Unless you call the police again because you were afraid we would march at your office. Silly people, this is done on Social Media!

We too thought Mark was a good vet until our puppy died due to his neglect. He checked her out and then gave our puppy her Parvo vaccine. We went home and later that afternoon noticed she was lethargic, so called to see if this was normal, they were closed, so called the emergency vet they offered on the phone. Emergency vet said keep an eye on her, maybe she had a fever. Next morning 6am when she woke I noticed her breathing was heavier. Vet was closed and he never even called me back. Called emergency vet again and they said bring her right in. We did, she died on the way. Called him the next day and he admitted he didn't tell us what to look for. And now he is lying to the insurance company that could reimburse us if he would just tell the truth.

Dr. Flahaven is an excellent doctor! He has walked us through the ups and downs of two pets, and we so appreciate his genuine care for his patients and their pet parents!

FREE VET SERVICES!!! …when they kill your dog. They killed my family’s puppy. She was going in for her first shots and they never warned us of warning signs or what to do when we saw them. We called them as soon as we noticed a couple hours later but they were closed by then. Her death could have been prevented and the doctor admitted that he was negligent when he spoke to us the next day after we informed him she died. We had wanted some recognition and to inform him that these vaccines might hurt another puppy as well. Due to his negligence he said he would give us the vet service free of charge. He’d acknowledged he didn’t instruct us what to do. However, when he talked to his insurance company he told them that he had instructed us what to do. Now they are refusing to acknowledge there wrong doing. Money will never ever replace her. However, the way our family, who have been patients of theirs, for all of our pets for years, have been treated is disgusting. As soon as the insurance company got involved it was suddenly our fault. He is supposed to be the expert.

An admired member of the Barrington community took their new puppy to this vet only for the puppy to die the next day from the vet's actions. The vet lied to protect themselves from insurance ramifications, when all they had to do was be transparent. Now they hid from the community member. Frankly these actions are nothing less than creepy

Our golden retriever loves coming here! And her owners love the knowledgeable, efficient, and incredibly kind staff, too. Can’t go wrong

Dr. Flahaven and his staff have been amazing to us and our pup, Luna. We have been taking Luna to his office for over 2 years and Dr. Flahaven has always taken great care of her. He and his staff are quick to respond to our questions and concerns about Luna's health. They're extremely generous with their time and very fair with us financially as we've navigated several health issues and an anxious dog.

Online booking and excellent treatment.Definitely feels like the vet cares for the animals he checks in and the women up front are always kind

Fantastic senior wellness visit today with my geriatric kitty. I called for some info after finding them on the FearFreePets.com list of certified professionals and Sarah took the time to answer all my questions and made me feel comfortable and confident that I was bringing my old guy to a hospital that was sensitive to his needs and comfort. Dr. Flahaven and Sarah performed his exam and diagnostics quickly and thoroughly without any added stress. Colleen at the front desk was warm and friendly. You can tell that this crew cares about you and your pets and takes pride in their practice. Well done team Deer Grove!

Dr. Flahaven and his staff are great! We take our two dogs here. They are professional, kind, very thorough and go above and beyond. When our dog got ringworm, he called around to every pharmacy in the area to see where we could get the best price because treatment was somewhat expensive. He called to check in and when the test results came in, he let us know immediately. When our puppy had the runs, he got us in immediately to check her out and see what was wrong. I would not hesitate to recommend them to all of our friends and family:)

Love the folks at Deer Grove - they take such good care of my sweet Maya! We've been there 4+ years, since she first arrived in our home and they have been wonderful!

We've been coming to Deer Grove Animal Hospital for about a year now and couldn't be happier. Every person we've worked with has been kind, helpful and willing to answer any questions we have. They treat our pets well and we always feel good after leaving their office. We've called them a couple of times with some questions regarding treatments, and never have we felt rushed or like we were burdening them. They've answered every question honestly and detailed and made sure we felt confident with the plan moving forward. We couldn't recommend Deer Grove Animal Hospital higher for those looking for a quality vet.

We have had ALL of our Isabeau's care at Deer Grove Animal Hospital beginning at her 8 weeks through her nearly 14th year. Dr. Flahaven and his lovely wife, Sarah have built the clinic to the highest level of technical expertise and best clinical practice. Our German Shepherd (and her human family) were ALWAYS treated with care, provided all the options for any of her maladies, were able to get an appointment when needed, and prices for treatment (and healthy treats) are very competitive. We were able to purchase her medications and health necessities through the office. Dr. Flahaven often returned messages personally and very quickly especially with test results. Yesterday we had to make the painful decision to put our sweet smart beautiful pooch down. There was no question that although we couldn't be "with her" at the end it was only Dr. Flahaven we trusted to care for her. He literally carried her through to her peaceful calm end. He's compassionate, bright, efficient, caring, and truly loves animals. I recommend him and his staff (and lovely wife, Sarah) to EVERYONE I know. 14 years of care in the same practice....that says a LOT! I really satisfied with the services my 2 cats received. The whole staff is nice, professional and helpful.

We've been coming here for a long time and they have helped figure out so many issues with .y dag and takien good care of my cats however the lrotocal during covid in unexceptable. I had to bring .y dog for an apt. At 11:30, got here at 11:15 and they made me wait outside for over 30 minutes. And during all of this I had my brother who is handicapped. Wouldn't let us in even with him to at least sit in a chair so I was forced to have my brother sit on the sidewalk outside the building. At least it was shady otherwise not to happy with .y experience for the day.
