My Daughter had to take her Dashaund for Annual Shots and Register Him as a New Patient for them. They were very Kind and Efficient. Very Knowledgeable about her Dog and how to help the Dog with its Sore Leg. Will Definitely Recommend this Place! ????

I got more information about my dogs from this veterinarian than I did from the other veterinarian I was going to. However this location does not do any major surgeries like my original veterinarian location. I had been going to the other veterinarian for many years, but at that location the one veterinarian retired and after the start of covid-19, everything changed.

My husband and I took our dog in due to blood coming from her rear! Took sample in and then took her in at appt. time. Mind you six month's ago we took her in over a lumpin her belly, the gave her a pregnancy test..... I don't understand how someone that isn't professional and kind to animals can be treating them in anyway! The minute husband brought up the lump issue the rude lady said "We're done here" TO ME, THAT PROVES THEY KNOW THEY'RE AT FAULT!! NOT at anytime did she say what results came back in the my dog's stool!!

Called to establish care due to my main vet in Blackstone closing. Receptionist was so rude and short that I cancelled my appointment.

Saw a very sarcastic, rude, and unprofessional letter they sent to an animals owner because they simply left a bad review. That is not how you handle a business. I don’t even own an animal but if I did I would NOT be taking them here. Sad.. makes you wonder if they really even care about the animals they take care of. Smh. :( didn’t even try and make it right, just outright said they wouldn’t see that animal/owner again.

Have to wait 20 minutes to pick up a single bag of pills, and never allowed in to see what they're doing with my dog or talk to a doctor ever.

I have mix breed dog and it hard find someone take her cause she part pit... This vet is so good to my dog, when I had take her to the vet during the winter storm, the guy carried my dog so she didn't need walk in it. Few days ago I took my dog to vet and I the owner Kim N as my vet omg she is the best she was so good to my dog and sweet. Everyone there so nice and good to me also my dog. They are so good to my dog, and understanding my dog is rescue and was abused..

Unreliable and untrustworthy, stopped treating my dogs after 2 months of miserable and incompetent service. Then they bailed out, refusing to acknowledge they didn't provide adequate medical treatment.

These people are the kindest understanding folks around. Just moved out here and have no vet. They squeezed me in to help with my dogs ear infection. I am so happy. Very reasonable prices. I will definitely continue using this vet.

Took cat in for a bath and grooming, cat was returned not bathed, and still losing hair. Paid $110 dollars for service, $65 for iso box to put her asleep for grooming, $45 for grooming! Called and complained about no bath and bad grooming. Groomer said she couldn’t give cat a bath because cat is mean! So the question is why did we put cat asleep then??? They want the money but don’t do the job!

I had just adopted an FIV+ cat and brought her in for her congestion. Dr. Rinker was amazing. She answered all my questions, the care they gave her was amazing. The staff is great!!! I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a veterinarian clinic!!

Had to take my dog for some shots, quick and easy experience, I stayed in the car and the staff came out and took the dog in and brought her back due to Covid no contact.

I was unable to speak to the vet although I had asked to do so from my vehicle. This was my 1st visit with my kitten as a cat owner and I had many questions. I tried to ask the tech? Who brought my kitten back to my car, but she didn't even know his weight or what vaccinations he had received. I will likely not return because of this.

Called and made an appointment but when we got there we were told they didn't have me listed.

I have 2 dogs that I take here regularly. They are great with my dogs and the dogs actually look forward to going to see them. Dr. Rinker went way above and beyond when my one dog had surgery and kept working the bandages off and needed re bandaged quite often. She always fit us in and her and her husband even met us on a Sunday once for it. They are all very caring to the animals, professional and fairly priced. I recommend them to anyone with a pet.

Had a bad experience with Novak and Rinker a few years back and found a new one out in Grand Ridge that we currently take our dogs to and she is awesome. A few months ago I picked up some flea treatment for a friend of mine since she is disabled and couldn't make it out that day. Receptionist was very rude to me on the phone. I wrote a bad review on their facebook page. Fast forward to this past Saturday, one of my dogs had a huge lump under his jaw and it popped and was loosing a ton of blood which was difficult to control. I called my vet but got an answering machine since it was past her hours of operation. I called all the vets in Ottawa trying to get him seen and was told that they either were closing or no vet was available at the 24 hour emergency office. I reluctantly called Novak and Rinker out of desperation. When I called the person was rude from the get go. I explained what the issue was and once I said my name the lady said well since you wrote a negative review on our Facebook it is policy to not see my dog regardless of the situation. Here my dog is bleeding profusely and I was being turned away. Sure sounded like they no longer cared about animals and were more I to getting good reviews. Thank God my vet called me back and was able to get him in right away. Novak and Brainerd used to be such a good place to go until they began buying more and more expensive equipment and to offset their loss they increased their prices. Seems it went completely downhill once Brainerd left. I will never call them again and will always tell my friends how things went down. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Novak-Rinker. All of the vets, techs, and front desk associates have been so kind and caring to me. I lost both of my dogs this year, both at 14 years old. I truly believe through successful surgeries, proper medications, and willingness to listen to me, they gave each of my dogs at least an additional 4 years. They were so compassionate during my dogs’ quality of life evaluations. They all know me by name, cared for my pups as if they were their own, and even made a donation to Pet Project in memory of my beloved Elmo. I have been to my share of vets (Chessie Lane, Fox Valley, Countryside, Happy Tails, etc) and I’d choose Novak-Rinker every single chance.

I just want to say how impressed I am with the quality of service here! Today when I needed an emergency visit for my cat, Dr.Olson saw him right away and she did everything possible to find the cause of the problem. Exam and tests were done within a half an hour and they had instant results for me. They were so polite and professional, and were so kind to me when I was an over worried mess. Thanks to Doctor Olson and her care, my baby is on the mend! I can not say thank you enough!!

I went to this vet for years with no issue. My dog was under their care for an allergic reaction and on medicine. My dog had - what we are assuming - an adverse reaction to the meds. When I called for advice on how to proceed they ignored my phone calls/messages for 24 hours - only to berate me when the vet finally did talk to me. I was appalled at the treatment and lack of care for my animal that was directly under their medical direction. I was told if I had an issue I needed to pay for an emergency visit. Not once was that relayed to me on my multiple phone calls where I explained exactly what was happening. If the receptionist did their job at this office I would have made an ER visit - but to be told my dog wasn’t as important and I needed to pay more to ask a simple question was my last line. We’ve since found a wonderful new vet who also informed us all of our meds and supplements were way over charged - one med was being priced at 5x the normal price from this vet! That really showed me what this office is all about now - super sad I always really liked Dr. Novak as a person - but this was so telling of where this office is headed.
