I would give them negative stars if I could. I brought my dog in with an emergency situation at 6:10 PM on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. He was in obvious distress with vomit all over him as well as me, but I was told by the front desk that the doctors stopped seeing patients at 6:00, even though I saw that Dr. Jacobsen's jeep was still in the parking lot, and the website says they are open till 8:00 PM. They sent me to the Plainfield location during rush hour on a weekday. It took me over 40 minutes to get there, which might have been the difference in my dog's life. He died 5 days later. If he had received care within that time it took me to drive to another location, it might have made a difference. Or it might not have, but I'll never know now. I'm DISGUTED with the lack of care and compassion from this facility. If you just want basic, everyday vet care for your dog, this place is fine, but only if you like overpaying and being treated rudely by the front desk staff. I will now drive 40 minutes out of my way to take my dogs to the Plainfield location (which, by the way, is no longer affiliated with the Oswego location due to their bad practices) to receive better, more compassionate care from people who are polite and respectful. Run, do not walk, away from this facility as fast as you can...

The staff has always been kind and helpful to assist with my dogs needs. I have liked the wellness plan for my puppy here that's covered everything, literally every visit, shot and spay for the first year of life. They are kind and understanding of my stressed out rescue pup as well and I appreciate them allowing me to be with him for shots bc he is calmer with me there.

Today I tried to make an appointment me the Pet Parent of Sabrina. I was told Sabrina was discharged from thrir practice. Stating I was not happy. Who would be happy when you have the help whom say they are half of the practice management? The half of the practice management did not deescalate the situation if anybody is at fault it's the employee. At all times they should show professionalism. Pointing at my daughter in her face is that professional? My daughter left the facility and I explained to the half of the management of the facility that my daughter is suffering severely start with PTSD we had recently lost my daughters beloved fur baby at the hands of a veterinarian. And so am I she was my grandson. I sat calmly holding my fur baby when I was given the diagnosis her heart was going into heart failure on a scale she was at a 4 to a 5 and roughly three months prior we were told she was at 3. So hearing this new diagnosis my daughter starts reliving what she went through. Again maybe your staff needs to be trained to remain calm under all circumstances because you never know what they have just gone through Lesson here. You refuse to see a ESA companion that has had three seizures and has a heart murmur. I was told to go to one of the other many facilities. I sat in that room with this employee for 30 minutes discussing the raw diet but that's what she feeds hers and they shared some what of our story. Please keep in mind I called the facility to say I was on my way in the new I was coming I called I said to the facility there's three people behind the counter not one person looked up at me I had to say"Hello"

I have been going to the Oswego Animal Hospital for years, however, I will not be going back...I took my German Shepherd in for limping and vaccines. After the vaccines were given in the back room, never in front of you the Dr. Said she couldn't check for limping because she was pregnant and (my pet) was jumping...I asked for another Dr. To take a look and suddenly her entire additude changed and said it wouldnt make a difference because my pet was stressed? No other options I guess. Ive never seen the same same Dr. Twice since they have taken over. So, $288.00 later all I got was the vaccines. Dr. Weber was the best and apparently she left.

We had an appointment at 10 and ended up waiting an hour for the Dr to come in to talk to us. They were in the room for maybe 3-4 minutes. I feel like it was rushed and I didn't get to ask all of the questions I had. I understand that there are other patients to been seen, but that was a little ridiculous.

Our 8 month old lab is in distress, having trouble breathing and can’t stand. I called Oswego animal hospital and the automated message states that if you’re pet is in distress or if it is an emergency, to bring the pet directly to them and a member of the team would help. My husband did exactly that, at 6:30pm (they close at 8) and they told him to go somewhere else because their doctor are getting ready to leave. Absolutely disgusted with their lack of care for an animal in distress.

Dr.Jacobsen worked hard to diagnosis and treat my kitty boy. Unfortunately he could not be saved, however Dr. Jacobsen went above and beyond and for that I am eternally thankful.

I want to give a big shout out to the doggy daycare/kennel staff at Oswego Animal Hospital! They do a fabulous job. My dog Huck started going to daycare 3 mornings a week in March only a month after we got him. He LOVES it! It has been a great experience for him and has helped him learn appropriate play behavior with other dogs. He loves to play with his friends and he burns off a ton of energy. He comes home tired and happy and takes a long nap. He's an extremely high energy 21 month old dog and there is no way we could provide him with the level of exercise and social interaction that he needs without daycare. He has a bunch of good dog friends there and one special dog friend (Raven). The staff knows which dogs are special friends and groups dogs in daycare based on energy levels (high energy, senior citizen dogs etc) so each dog has a good experience. I recently went on a tour of OAH and saw first hand how organized the daycare/kennel area is. Each dog in daycare has a dedicated kennel where they go while waiting to go into daycare, or if they need a timeout, or when waiting for pickup after daycare. They keep a record of whether each dog is having lunch, or a snack, or a peanut butter Kong. They do a great job keeping the dogs interested with ice cube or bubble games, or toys or the splash pool. It's a very cheerful looking place. I really like the new paint job. When I visited, I was worried that my dog would be distracted by my presence but that was not the case. He saw me but didn't even break stride and just continued playing. Going to daycare has really helped him get accustomed to having grooming done too. He had very limited experience with the vet or grooming when we got him. He needs oral sedation for a nail trim at our regular vet's office but he is so at home at OAH daycare that they can trim his nails after daycare without oral sedation. He is the youngest, highest energy dog we have had and the first one who has gone to daycare. It has been an extremely positive experience for him and that is due to the great daycare/kennel staff and their manager, Sara Black. They really pay attention to the details and I've had several very useful conversations about dog behavior with Sara. They really understand dog behavior. Thank you for all you do for your daycare dogs!

We have been taking our boy here since we got him and wouldn't ever go anywhere else for him. My only complaint would be that we have been telling the vet for quite some time about a med sensitivity he has and they haven't put it in his info.

Service is good but the wait is horrible so plan accordingly. We were seen after an hour of appointment time and this has happened multiple times. So not the first time. I can appreciate the short staff so as a heads up, be prepared for longer wait even for appointments scheduled ahead of time. Got wellness plan so ER not necessary for the visit.

I never write reviews but I couldn't be more thankful for Dr. Chow! We had taken our pup to an ER where they released our poor baby without making him feel better, and thankfully we got Dr. Chow when we came here first thing in the morning. He reviewed what they did with us, explained everything and ensured us he would take care of our baby boy. He stayed the day with Dr. Chow and he even called us every few hours to let us know he was doing better. We have NEVER had a vet actually call us and treat us like we were being care for so much before. When we picked him up, Dr. Chow brought him in the room and he was so happy to see us it was like nothing ever happened. If it wasn't for Dr. Chow I'm afraid the outcome wouldn't have been as positive if we just listened to that ER. I will ALWAYS request Dr. Chow from now on, he truly is the absolute best and I can't think him enough for saving our baby boy!!!

Average... Actually sitting in the room still after 44 mins and counting. I hear the employees giggling outside the room and wandering around.. This is the 3rd time I had to bring my kitten in to be checked out... As well as the last time... The staff is ALL very young including the vets. Hence why the diagnoses haven't been effective. No experience at all.. Its like romper room here. Never was stuck in a room this look anywhere. Did they forget about me?? Hello???? But they made sure I had a stupid mask though.

I went in today because my dog has a UTI. The doctor told me that they want to collect a urine sample. I asked how do they go about doing this. His response was that they take them outside, see if they use the bathroom and try to collect it that way. If they cannot, they stick a needle through the dog’s stomach into their bladder to collect this. I asked to please keep me updated BEFORE attempting to stick the needle into my dog if she does not urinate outside. Five minutes go by and they bring my dog back. I asked the nurse how everything went and she indicated that they stuck the needle into my dog to obtain a urine sample. I am very disappointed in this doctor and hospital. I did not consent to them completing this procedure with my dog. I would 100 percent not recommend this vet for your pet.

We brought our second cat here after having them take care of our first one. We brought her in for a spay and they gave us a whole sales pitch selling different services and things. I felt like I was at a car dealership. The spay ended up turning into a large bump of scar tissue and the doctors did not make me feel confident in their services. My pets deserve better care. Not to mention you have to wait 20 minutes for them to answer your call. We're now taking them to a vet who knows us, our pets and their needs.
