Our 11 year old cat became lethargic, stopped eating, strange coughing, and obviously ill. Our regular vet (whom we trust and love having been with them for 15 years) saw our sick cat, said she needs aggressive treatment, advised us the things they knew and with our agreement, called Premier Orland Park to get our cat in. Premier was able to accommodate her so we drove her directly there. She had to stay for about 24 hours in which time. we and our cat were treated so very calmly , kindly and with specific information by the vet tech who took her in (Covid protocols in place and we had to stay outside), We received two detailed calls from the veterinarians over the next 24 hours and were confident they were taking every measure to diagnose and treat her. Reviewing an animal hospital is a different animal so to speak because although I like to think I would be this rational and favorable if my cat did not make it, I just can’t say but I hope so. As it turns out, my senior cat had congestive heart failure last week and Premier saved her life. She is doing great and come what may we currently have our silly, happy, loving cat back with us. We thank Premier. Jenny Pruim

Took our doggo there in emergency and unfortunately we had to put him down. The vet was super nice and even allowed our pup some comfort so we had time to get other family there to say goodbye.

If i could Give this place zero stars, i would. I’m now going to speak about the most awful experience i had at premiere Orland. Please read in full if you want to beware of a sketchy/ shady/ downright awful establishment. On Tuesday October 19, 2021, i woke up to my American bulldog not moving, not responsive, just laying there (and still breathing). So ihad my dog sitter rush her to premier ER around 10am (as i needed to be at work) he explained what was happening, and was told that she had To wait, as her symptoms weren’t life threatening. Once i was Out of work i rushed over to premier around 6pm, and my girl still hadn’t been seen (10am- not 6pm? Really??) so i called to get an update on her status- was informed that she was not life threatening so she was triaged to the end of the group ???????????? so then i started seeing many people come in with boxes of dunking donuts, boxed coffee from Panera, etc, seemingly bribing goods for the staff while bringing their dog in. At around 1am after seeing this happen repeatedly, i posted on their Google review page that this was happening, and they immediately replied via Google reviews and immediately called us in to be Seen IMMEDIATELY. By 2am, they had done an evaluation and concluded she had Lyme disease- they said her “blood count” was low and would need to hospitalized at least 2-3 nights to stay overnight and have liquids/treatment, and quoted me the bigger end of $4,300, which i paid Bc of course i want anything for my dog to be okay. I then Requested labs/paperwork of her information to be sent to my vet/primary caregiver for my pups- said information to this day has never been sent over. After 3 nights staying there, by Friday October 22, they said she was stagnant (aka not worsening but not doing better) and to prepare for the worst. The next day, they said her levels went down (whatever that means, as they never explained nor took the time to send over lab results to my primary vet) and so of course, $6,000 later and being told i had to put my dog down (all while not having seen any record of any lab results or test results they so called ran) i had to put down my otherwise healthy American bulldog. It is now 2 months later, and not i nor my vet have received the lab results of my dogs so called Lyme disease. It’s no coincident that after it wrote my first Google review that immediate saw my dog, and within 2 hours said she was dying- when we had been waiting for over 16hours just to be seen. If you want your dog to be seen here, make sure to come with a hefty bribe- they seemed to love Dunkin donuts and little Cesar’s pizza as i sat in the parking lot for 16 hours and watched them get treats dropped off from the dog owners taking in their sick dogs. Hey premiere- will you guys send over my dogs lab work not??? It’s been 2 months.

Compassionate, professional and caring. We had to put down my moms 13 year old dog. I called the primary vets number after hours and was directed to Premier Veterinary Group in Orland. Gail answered the phone and was super helpful during the difficult time. She made a big difference with easing the dogs suffering. When we arrived, The staff was expecting us and ready as they acted immediately to see the our pet. The doctors assessment confirmed what we already knew. The process was explained and staff walked us through every step We chose to be with him to say goodbye and was provided a respite room where he was then euthanized. the special space was greatly appreciated to start the healing process. By the way we saw the staff care for our pet, quickness to let us know his status and the availability of a Bereavement Room , we felt how committed to everyone At the hospital was. We will be back for our dogs health needs

Never actually got seen but understandable. Procedures are kinda flawed and I wish they would update people who were already there on the wait time. Put myself on the waitlist and few minutes later saying to come in right now because they are running ahead of schedule. Got there at 12:30AM checked in and everything. They did say a critical patient came and it would be a 30-45 minute wait. Stayed there til 2:30, wishing I got a call on an update because I could’ve just gone home and came back since we live nearby, but at the same time I should’ve asked. My cat was too stressed to stay in the car any longer, sadly. Super clean place and friendly staff!! tldr; it would be nice if they had a system to notify patients if times of waiting got extended.

I would highly recommend! When I brought my 6 year old dog in, I definitely didn't expect the outcome would be to have to put him down. Dr. Davis and all of the staff (sorry I can't remember everyone's names) were so patient, empathetic, and kind. This is a place you never want to go, but when you have to, I was so thankful they were there!

My husband brought our 16 year old dog in last night to be put to sleep. He had lymphoma and was in pain and worried. These people separated my husband and his dog twice during the visit. There should never have been any reason that my husband couldnt be by his dogs side at all times. This was the worst day of their lives, they needed to do it together. We put a lot of faith and trust into this clinic, and we are heartbroken with the process of events last night. We got this dog through his entire life, and you took those final moments that should have been as peaceful as possible from both of them.

We are new to the area and most nearby vet practices aren’t accepting new patients, so I had to take my dog here to get her acute stomach issues checked out. They were great! They made sure I understood all my treatment options. Highly recommend for emergency services or if your dog cannot be seen by their primary veterinarian.

I brought my little ozzy to the orland park facility the other night for the first time. What and absolutely pleasant facility. All the employees were very nice to us. My poor little guy got in a fight with our puppy german shepard-wound up with 3 cracked ribs and lots of internal swelling and bruising. I felt so much better after having him looked at and able to get him some meds for pain. Ozzy has been my been my BFF for nearly 11 years. I am just grateful he is OK - but I have to say this team was amazing!!

We brought my dog in very ill and we ended up having to put her to sleep the next day and Dr Soa was there on that day and was the worst experience of our lives..he barely let us have any time with our almost 13 year old dog and kept coming in and telling us to put our masks on in the room with my son and wife and dog so her last moments are her being scared and us having to wear a mask..so unprofessional its ridiculous..our last time with our dog and we had minutes with her because he was in such a rush but not in too much of a rush to charge thousands of dollars for her 24 care..Dr Kordas we had the night before and she was great..i wish we woud of had her for those last moments that we will NEVER get back..he should be fired..we are having a very hard time getting past the traumatic experience and the way it was handled.

I called many vets all around a 25 mile radius. Come to find most were 2 to 3 weeks out or were unable to accept new patients. My son and my 5 month old Belgian Malinois puppy were playing and my son accidentally stepped on her paw causing bones to break. This was not something that could wait. I called and was told to head over ASAP. Waiting time was not long as they were very busy. The whole process from the receptionist to the doctor were great. Great communication throughout the entire visit and explanations of process it would take to get her back on the road to recovery were explained in great detail. It was definitely a place that you know they care about your pet. I read a lot of reviews about vet offices all over that veterinarians and staff didn’t not have compassion or care about your pet. It was a dollar sign walking in the doors. Here was not that case at all. Pricing was great for all steps that were taken plus medications needed for her to return home. I would definitely recommend this place to pet owners in need of emergency care. Thank you to all your staff for the care of our family pet.

I had a similar experience to another person who left a review here saying their pet couldn’t be “bumped up” followed by a condescending “thank you.” (Cathy). Website advertises if your pet has any of the following symptoms to please call and notify right away to take your pet in as soon as possible. I called her back and all she did was put me in a que even with me telling her my pet is experiencing severe symptoms (which are motive to be seen immediately), but because he is not unconscious I have to wait. My dog hasn’t eaten in 3 days, refuses to drink, and he hasn’t gotten better. I’ve taken him to the vet and he hasn’t gotten better. I’m not one to leave low reviews, but these are family members, not just animals. I’d suffer an eternity just for my best friend to feel better. Thank you for your resounding help and I hope all of your receptionists are as kind and helpful as Cathy. “Thank you.”

The staff and doctors at Premier are absolutely wonderful, kind, compassionate people. We've had 3 recent visits to the doggy ER recently, and Premier has been and will remain our top choice for emergency care. Most recently, Dr. Pearson treated our pup, and he is absolutely the best! He truly takes the time to make sure you understand what's going on, and never makes you feel rushed to ask your questions. I've been to quite a few different vets over the years, and you can tell when someone does it for a living, and when someone loves what they do- and Dr. Pearson truly cares for his patients and treats them as his own. This was the first time I had to leave my pup over night, but knowing Dr. Pearson was there, put this fur mama's heart at ease. I can't thank the doctors and staff enough!

Dr. Davis is a saint. We had to meet under extremely difficult circumstances, but she was easily the most straight-forward DVM we have dealt with while dealing with our pup's multiple ailments. After performing tests and a checkup on our dog, she called us with a diagnosis, potential courses of action, and a prognosis. With the hospital under COVID protocols, she took at least 3 calls from my wife and I answering questions that kept arising and ultimately met with us face-to-face to review additional questions. She gave us enough information to allow us to make a decision. When we ultimately made the very difficult decision to put our dog down, she allowed us time before and after to be with her. A lot of the day was a blur, but we are thankful for the rest of the staff members there as well. The technician called us almost immediately after we put our dog on the wait list and had us bring her in to begin tests due to her underlying conditions. The staff at the front desk was extremely empathetic and helped us arrange for our dog to be cremated. Our dog had previously been a patient of the Premier Veterinary Group a couple of years ago, and so we were aware of their capabilities to treat and care for her. While the outcome was devastating this time, we are grateful for the staff's professionalism and compassion.

If I could give a 0 I would! Horrible place! They DO NOT care for your pets at all, they are after your money only! They are inhumane and very unprofessional! Save your self some money and the grief, this place is the worse place to take your beloved pets! I wonder how they even maintain a license!

My best freind Esther the beagle. Had been diagnosed with a urinary tract infection and was sent home with an antibiotic . As the day went on she was in pain and we got her into premiere . They were compassionate and efficient and Dr. Siever was thorough and complete with his diagnosis. Highly reccomend them if you need N emergency vet.

I called this ER to have my pet seen. Before I could even finish detailing what symptoms he has, the person on the phone told me their Orland Park location "can't just bump you to the front of the line" and that he can wait until tomorrow. 1) How do you know he can wait if you don't even allow people to tell you what's wrong? 2) I never asked to be bumped up; only if it's necessary and possible to see him earlier based on his symptoms, which again I was not even allowed to finish detailing. I then tried to ask if there was another ER they could recommend that's close and this person just wouldn't stop cutting me off; saying I have to go online and schedule an appointment with them. Absolutely terrible behavior and completely out of line. I don't know how the vets are here, so I cannot comment on that, but don't expect caring individuals when you're calling this location for the well-being of your pet and family member.

We had to put our beautiful senior golden retriever down last night. The staff at Premier was excellent. They were supportive, patient and very kind. Thank you Cassie and Dr. Patsavas for not rushing us and the kindness you showed to both our beloved pet and us will never be forgotten.

We recently had an unexpected event with one of our dogs. Thankfully Premier was not only close by but Paula was able to get us in right away. The whole staff there was very nice and attentive. I would highly recommend them if an emergency arises.

Dr Davis, thank you SO much for reassuring me about Reeses. I have been up for 28 hours after his bladder blockage and I thought he was in trouble and went there at 2 in the morning and she said she'd take a free look at him. I've never dealt with such a professional heartwarming person in my life. Thank you so much Dr. Davis, you are a true life saver. You were born for this profession.

At 11am called to make appt for my 8 month old puppy. He would not eat, drink, walk, vomited 8 times in last hour and was completely lethargic. They told me to make an appt online and bring him in and a nurse will triage and determine if he is stable or not. So I made appt online, which ended up being for 12 hours later. I brought my puppy to get triaged, (the parking lot was empty)went to door and was met by nurse saying you cannot come in here, I said I was told to come in to have a nurse evaluate him. She said go back to your car and they locked the door, a nurse met me outside and told me yes he needs to be seen asap especially because of his age, but said he can't be seen here, we are busy (parking lot empty). She instructed me to go to Mokena emergency vet because he needs to be seen right away. I was standing there w my puppy shaking and vomiting in their parking lot....and she continued to tell me to go somewhere else and he needs to be seen right away. I will never go back there.

Good communication by the vets while my pet was there for 3 days. Unfortunately my pet never left but they were kind, caring and understanding. It's an emergency vet with all the equipment therefore please know, they are not cheap.

I am a healthcare worker and understand that wait times vary due to critical patients etc. The reason I chose this place was because I called 5 other animal hospitals and no one would see her for an ear infection. Her primary vet was willing to send a script to their location without having to assess her, but premiere didn’t carry those specific ear drops. I waited approx 3 hours from the time of checking in to checking out. No one was cordial enough to stop by my room to apologize for the delay or give me some sort of estimated time, in fact they forgot I was even in the room because they called my cellphone to tell me Mia was ready for discharge. Not sure if the place is understaffed, but everyone just seemed extremely flustered and disorganized. The only good experience I had was with the physician over the phone.

Horrible service, and not actually an emergency facility. Arrived with our pup who was pooping blood, dripping from her rear end as we walked up. Brandon the front desk person told us on the phone to bring her to the door and he would bring her back to be seen by a doctor. Once we got to the entrance, Brandon greeted us and said actually the hospital is full and also our poor Willow did not look critical to him so she would not be seen. Parking lot was completely empty besides his car. They probably do not have a doctor on site. Drove to North Central Veterinary Emergency Center in Highland, IN. That facility is an ACTUAL emergency vet. Go there if you have trouble, DO NOT use Premier. Especially frustrated since we used to receive stellar emergency service here. It is not some issue with over crowded pet hospitals and/or busy primary care physicians. Premier is just an awful operation now.
