We were very grateful that our vet recommended Carlos as a trainer for our Malinois puppy. I can't think of a better person to train your dog and guide you in the process in the same time. Any question is answered in a lightning fast manner. It is impressive how Carlos connects to the dog and directs him in the training process. Our 4 month old Malinois spent a month with Carlos and Elly and came back an obedient and confident dog. We strongly recommend them for anybody who needs any help with their loved dogs. They are naturals!

I was always hesitant about getting a dog trainer, I always thought it would be a waste of money; specially knowing how crazy my dog is. We finally decided to pull the trigger with Wolf's Lair, they were recommended by our Vet and their online reputation is fantastic. In just three session Carlos taught us more than we could ever imagine. Our Irish Setter was (is) very energetic and walking him was a nightmare, now we are at the point where we can walk him without him losing his mind at other dogs/squirrels/cars/people/everything. We will continue to use Wolf's Lair as we progress but I'm just amazed at the knowledge and expertise of Carlos. Worth every penny, THANK YOU Carlos.

These folks are miracle workers. I adopted a Pitbull from Chicago Animal Care and Control back in August of 2018. The dog was great with people but had serious aggression issues with other dogs. I foolishly attempted a group course with a local trainer but that resulted in failure because other dogs were present. That started a google search and Wolfs Lair K9 popped up. I sent them an email and described the situation and we started training. Its been a long process and it was not cheap but anything that is worthwhile always seems to be hard and expensive right? My dream when I got this dog was to be able to go to one of Lake County's Dog Exercise Areas and let the dog socialize with other dogs, swim and just be a dog. Twelve months ago that dream looked unachievable however thanks to Carlos and Ben that dream is now reality. We are now regulars at several of Lake County's Dog Parks. No one believes me when I tell them the back story on all this.The dog is much happier and I am sure will be much healthier too now that she can socialize. Great work guys! I highly recommend them.

Carlos and Elly love what they do and it shows! They keep us well informed on progress and training of our dog Oakley. He is always well behaved after coming home after a few days of class.

Absolutely the best place to bring your dog! We have two Bohemian Shepherds females dogs and try numbers of trainers before, starting with very young age; thankfully I find Wolf's Lair K9 and now is over a year that we are luckily apply their experience and knowledge to raise our dogs and we see how effective it is. A year ago one of our dogs could not even stand close to other K9, now she is not only playing with other dogs but she started training to receive a CGC (Canine Good Citizen) Certification, the other one is already in training to be come a Therapy Dog. We are very impressed by their work with any dogs, I personally love to watch how dogs respond.They listen and do everything what trainers ask them to do with no efforts or fear, I learn every time something new, and I'm really thankful for patience with me and my 100 questions every time; by the way I have to say that is really 50/50 class for my dogs and for me! I also have to mention about their facility-from very first time I came there, I always see how clean it is and professionally adopted. We are hoping to work with Wolf's Liar K9 for many more years to come, give my dogs purpose of life and for us more understanding and knowledge of our furry family members. Lincoln came home a new dog after only 3 days of training. Carlos has a special connection with dogs. He is able to train them with love & respect. I feel completely comfortable leaving Lincoln in Carlos' trusted care.

I have been training dogs since the late 80s. My dog and I compete internationally. Carlos in my opinion is one of the best dog trainers and decoys in the United States. Our club, Steel City Working Dogs brings Carlos and his team to Pittsburgh for seminars and workshops. You will not find a more honest, talanted and knowledgeable trainer around. He is the total package.

Had him as trainer for a few months. Incredibly irresponsible and immature. Went completely MIA for months without regard for me or my dog no communication and no response to emails. Would only have the dog run aroun the facility. Total loser with no work ethic

March 2018- Wolf's Lair K9 was recommended to us by a satisfied client. Had a nice conversation with them and needed to set up an appointment, but for some reason????? they will not return any calls, emails, or texts. Don't understand why?

We've been bringing our dog, Noodles, to Carlos and he's been fantastic at helping our extremely rambunctious dog to calm down and make a good fit at his doggie-day-care. Also, he's been able to really connect with him to ensure he's more obedient/listens to us better. Carlos has a knack for diagnosing the issue with the dog as opposed to applying a "one-size-fits-all" approach which, if you've been to a few of those puppy classes, is what you'd get from other places. We continue to have Noodles get training there and he's getting better everyday! I highly recommend Wolf's Lair!

It has been so helpful to work with Carlos in training our 1 year old rescue hound dog. From the beginning, we felt like we found the right guy! Carlos' confidence and strong skills have been such a comfort in tackling some of the harder issues. Carlos continues to help us build skills and understanding around our dog both at the training facility, as well as in our home. I have been working with Carlos for a year now with our four year old rescued border collie. In addition to behavioral problems, she also has severe epilepsy. Carlos has SAFELY helped us to address her many problems successfully. He is a gifted trainer and teacher and I highly recommend Wolf’s Lair K9. They are superb.
