When I saw Dr. Elizabeth in 2020 everything went fine but this year when I tried scheduling an annual checkup the office lost me as a client. I scheduled 3 appointments over the course of three months and every SINGLE one was cancelled on me. The first time I was understanding but the second time reception was less apologetic than the first. I told them I would schedule one more appt but if it wasn't honored than I needed to find a new vet because I want my pet to be seen. The third time there was also no apology, just a call to see if I could come five hours later than the planned appt. I was also understanding about the vet needing to do emergency surgery. I suggested merely a technician draw her blood because that's truly all I needed. They said no they aren't allowed to which was strange to me. My mom is a vet and her techs draw blood all the time. My mom barely does it cause she's performing surgeries. Meanwhile, I live with my grandma who scheduled an appointment for her pet after I scheduled 2 appointments and was seen multiple times before I was seen once. I guess this facility only cares about clients they've had for a long time. Even though our last names and address are the exact same. Even after losing me as a client they've been disrespectful. I've called several times to have them send my dog's records to our new vet and they have yet to do so. Don't go here if you are looking for a new vet! You will NOT be seen as equal to older patients and reception was rude several times.

Dr. Liz and Dr. Walter are Amazing! I appreciate the care and time they put in to know both pet and owner. Your pets well being is in good hands with this staff. These doctors work day and night to meet the needs of their patients and families. Their compassion and love of animals is obvious in all they do. Hickory Creek Animal hospital has been instrumental in our pets lives for over 20 years.

Started going to this vet because this is where my mom and stepdad have taken their pets. I live in Chicago, so it's a bit of a drive, but so worth it, in my opinion. I have a cat with manx syndrome, which has been very difficult. Most vets near me have no idea what to do with her. But the vets here (Dr. Elizabeth specifically) are very knowledgeable, and they've helped get her to a point where she's thriving. They do run late pretty frequently for appointment times, but once you get in the exam room, you understand why. This is not an in-and-out sort of place. They really take the time to get to know your pet, and you can tell that everyone who works there loves your pet as much as you do. And the quality of care because of this is beyond words. As a bonus, the prices are pretty reasonable too, although I might be biased on that because, again, Chicago. They are amazing with pets in general, but I cannot recommend them more highly for pets with disabilities. Vets like these are few and far between.

An amazing staff that did everything to help my family and I for so many years. Recently we had to make some difficult decisions for a beloved family pet. Their staff gave us all possible information and made sure that we were as comfortable as possible given the situation.

We had our first appointment with Dr. Walter. He is amazing! He really wanted to know about my dog and took time to speak to me. I made the best choice to switch vets!

I love this vet! We have been going here for about 21 years now. They do get Very busy but I wouldn't take my animals any where else. They take the time for each and everyone. They give the creatures the tender loving care they need.

Dr. Walter and Dr. Elizabeth are so thorough. They spend the time getting to know their patients and listening to any concerns.

Even after moving an hour north we still bring our Murph to Dr. Elizabeth. Love the whole staff here. When people are passionate about their work it makes a world of difference. Thanks for always taking care of our boy!

Dr. Elizabeth and Dr. Walter are so caring and sincere. They are a top quality practice that really spends time with their patients. Both vets are thorough and very comprehensive, couldn't ask for a better office to take my fur child to. You won't find another office that compares, they go above and beyond!

We've been taking our dogs here since they opened, from puppies to seniors. Both Docs are wonderful, and treat your pet just like their own! Great staff as well, love this place ❤

Have been going to Doc Wally for over 15 yrs. He has taken care of most of the familys' pets from birth to putting them to sleep. He is the most compassionate and wonderful vet. Only stopped going to him because I moved out of state but my two 15yr.old kitties were "chipped and taken care of" since we got them at a couple months old. Would never go to anyone else if at all possible. FOREVER THANKFUL DOC WALLY!
