This is the best place for dogs (I think cats, too, but I don'thave one so I'm not sure.) Claudia and her crew do excellent work, and you can feel the love in the place. All the dogs walk around and get along just fine. It's beautiful to see. It deserves more than 5 stars.

I’ve been getting my dog groomed here for years and cannot stress enough how amazing Shear Paradise is! I don’t trust anyone else to take such great care of my dog, while providing the best grooming services. Every time I pick up my dog I am blown away at how amazing she looks. The best place to get your dogs groomed, period. They take care of the dogs as if they were their own. I had a super cranky husky, who didn't age well, so he was then an old cranky husky, EXCEPT when he visited the groomer. They groomed my long hair dogs for over 12 years, and treated them so well especially as they aged, and took care of the special grooming needs that come with old long haired dogs. Shear Paradise now grooms our second generation of puppies and I can't say enough about how the look and smell, but mostly how wonderfully they are cared for.

Our 6 month old goldendoodle puppy, Leo, got his first haircut this week and he looks amazing!! We have been taking our older doodle to Shear Paradise for the past 3 years and she has never had a bad experience. Groomers can be a hit or miss, especially with doodles, and Shear Paradise has never missed once. So grateful to have found this place, plus the pups have a great time while they are there hanging with all their friends :).

Don't run afoul of the rules. Be on time, cause these guys mean business. They do awesome work and are kind to the doggies.

Our dog, Teddy, is VERY skittish and he loves coming here. They always take such good care of him and are always gentle with him. He always looks great, smells so good and is sooooooo soft. He especially loves Kayla and follows her around all day.

I have been bringing my huskies here years for a bath and brush out when they are blowing their coats. They always do an amazing job, but am super impressed how they handle them as they age. Last year they recommended not doing a full grooming for my 14 year old due to her arthritis. They did a sanitary trim, clipped the fur between her paws and cleaned her up a little, but didn't want to stress her by doing a full grooming. They put her wellbeing before profit. Last week I brought in my 13 year old husky. He is less arthritic and could handle a full grooming, but they still gave him breaks instead of rushing. He is starting to get crabby when being handled, so I was amazed at how good of a job they were able to do. He looked so good when I picked him up and was happiest he's looked in awhile. He wasn't sore or stressed after spending hours there. You can tell they really care about the dogs and do what's best for them.

This pet salon is absolutely amazing. I took my dog, Dolly, there for nearly 14 years and was never disappointed with the service of staff. Claudia always treated her like she was her own dog. I highly recommend them!

My absolute favorite place to take my dogs! They always treat your fur baby as one of their own!!! Clean, friendly, reasonably priced and loving to your pet. My dogs always smelled amazing and looked terrific after being groomed. Love love love shear paradise!!!!

We were introduced to this place by the Vernon Hills Animal Hospital and we love it! Been going there for about 2-3 years now. A bit pricey, but they always remember our pet’s name so it feels a lot more personal than the big pet stores that offer a similar service. Their quality is much better too. The best part is that they let the dogs roam freely while they give the others a haircut so you don’t have to witness the poor dogs barking in cages...it’s a very lovely and stress free environment! Before coming here, our dog used to resist intensely being left behind but this was the first place he was chill about it lol The only thing is that they are a small business and it seems they have limited spots available for regular customers (sometimes they don’t accept new clients) so I’m assuming they partner with the hospital or other locations to recruit for customers on need basis. Other than that, great place if you can secure an opening when they’re available for new customers!

Best grooming facility! I do advanced training and premium in-home boarding as a full time job and I have never seen a grooming facility come close to their expertise. I have three dogs who have very different temperaments and they all do super well there. They have a fantastic balance of maintaining manners while also promoting the dog's confidence and happiness. My dogs do better there then the doggy daycares I've been to and they come home happy, content and proud about standing for brushing. They helped my youngest through some fear issues with the blow dryer and made sure my other dog was well behaved enough to not "play with" the blow dryer. Lol ???? My working line shepherd feels comfortable enough to relax there and isn't frantic and anxious to leave like he normally is when seperated from me. I highly recommend but unfortunately you might not get in to this nice place due to them being so over-booked from fantastic service :)

Great service, great grooming and owner is foxy.

They just trimmed my dogs nails. My older dog gets them drummeled and they do a great job. They always seem busy and they keep the dogs behind the counter with the staff, which is great.

I can't say enough good things! After a horrific grooming experience at another local groomer, Claudia took my dog and brought her back to life :) She did an incredible job grooming her but most importantly you can tell how much she cares for all the dogs. She is patient and kind and obviously very experienced. So happy to have found my dog's go-to groomer. She had so much fun there and came home so happy! Thanks times a million!

Great place ,great stuff, love it

I brought my 2 dogs (golden doodle and a yorkie) for grooming yesterday and got denied the services. In addition, I had been told I do not maintain my dogs properly... Quite rude. My golden doodle has a pretty short cut now and was in need of trimming his face. The service provider told me my dog is matted and would require shaving:( I asked not to shave my dog and, if he is matted, please just trim his face so I can brush him out at home. She refused again. I didn't see my dog being in such a bad shape that would require shaving. When I asked to explain, she took a comb and tried to move it through his very curly hair. Guess what? Of course the comb got stuck. Even people with curly hair require brushing and untangling, needless to say, dogs. Yes, my dog had a few matts on his tail and under the chin, which took me about 15 min to brush out (and I do not have a proper equipment or skills). Another 15 min was spent on brushing his body with a soft brush. There were not mats! Do people brush their dogs before taking them to the groomer??? I thought this is something a groomer does. Oh well. Also, on another occasion (last year), I had been told there is a special price for grooming puppies under 4 months, which I wanted to take advantage of. However, when I brought my doodle in, got denied the promotional price "because the dog is too large." Really? Very frustrating experiences dealing with personnel. On a positive note (yes, there is something positive to it, hence 1 star), the place looks good, it is clean and dogs come out looking nice.
