We adopted our dog from Chicago Canine Rescue and they recommended Morton Grove Animal Hospital. (MGAH veterinarians volunteer at the rescue -- what great people!) Our dog is very comfortable here and everyone is very nice. It's also very easy to be seen!

Friendly people. Dr Harris was great- took time to really check out my aging dog to see whats going on, reviewed previous vets history on my dog, and talked through options. Definitely will be using them as my vet.

These folks know how to treat pets and their owners appropriately. They are so much better than the brusk "I cant be bothered" attitude of McCormick. Morton Grove is the place to go. It does cost more, but their professionalism and attitude make it worthwhile.

I recently moved to the area, I have been searching for a vet for a while, Im so happy i found them, very professionally run, checking process was very easy. Receptionist/techs were very helpful and very nice. Vet tech and the vet were awesome. I was amazed at how clean the entire place was. Will absolutely return they are our new Vets.

Top rate veterinary practice. All vets are highly competent and caring. The office is well run and the vet techs are also kind and great. They are doing a great job managing appointments during this time of COVID, too.

I've only been twice, but my kitty shadow wants to go back. The people are nice there, although two trips cost me around 600 bucks, I have a good feeling about the care.

At our old vet, service has gone quickly since vet/owner passed away over a year ago. Went to Morton Grove Animal Hospital for our very sick cat. Able to make a same day appointment and the vet Dr Brian Harris was very nice and concerned. We ended up having him put to sleep which i held him while they gave the meds and he passed away comfortably in my arms. They encouraged us to take as much time with him before & after procedure. Not rushed at all!! Receptionist Amy was also very helpful in getting records from previous vet & Blue Pearl where he had been not even a week before. As sad as it was, we lost our friend Mikey but found a new vet for our remaining kitty!

Since McCormick went AWOL and took our cat's records, we had to re-establish his health history. Morton Grove was amazing. They are expensive compared to McC, but they are kind, have great follow-through, and really care about their patients, both animal and human. I'm hooked.

Honestly a bad vet clinic we were clients of Morton grove animal hospital for almost 10 years and were treated very poorly but for the majority of us it time as customers they were the cheapest vet. Both Dr. Harris and Bortollio are very greedy people and always wanted to give you the quick and dirty answer so you could stop bothering them; while also paying an arm and a leg for the visit. Dr Drell is absolutely your horrible why be a vet if you hate your job. She honesty seems like she could care less about the pets. We had one appointment with her and that was it. She seemed very annoyed at the fact she had to work and when I asked her to clip my dogs nails she quicked him and didn’t notice or seem to care when pointed it out to her. Another reason we left this practice is because of Annette she is very rude and biased against some clients I being one of them for no apparent reason. Whenever I would come into the practice she would basically yell at me to hold me dog back ( who is not aggressive in any way shape or form) and as I was paying if another dog was coming in she would still tell me to hold my dog back instead of telling other person. This was not a one time thing this happened at every visit with multiple dogs. Lastly in general the practice seems to care more about making money since their remodel. Before the remodel they seemed to generally care about the pets and the pet parents but after the remodel it just seemed like the money mattered more.

Always a pleasant experience with any provider there. They really love what they do. My only issue is when I've left messages, I never get a call back... it's happened on several occasions regardless if it's on a weekend or weekday. Hope you guys can fix this

The staff is caring, knowledgeable, and thorough. The new facilities are clean and accommodating for the services rendered. The downsides would be that the parking lot is small, and they are pricey. I think it would be great if they would have some flat rate prices for annual exams that include the basics of what will be needed, rather than itemizing every action taken. This could save the customers a little money and they would know in advance what it covers and what it doesn't. Then, if additional tests are needed, they could inform the patient and bill those separately. In the past when I lived in another town and state, my experience with veterinary care was more like the latter, rather than every action being itemized. Despite my critiques, I am still giving five stars because of the quality of care and help provided by the staff.

About 12-14 month ago I took my cat Mimi here as she was all of a sudden weak and confused. She saw Dr. Bertoglio. I was told she was in kidney failure and she recommended that she be put to sleep. I was told if I hospitalize I would spend thousands and the results would be the same. I decided to take her home and try all that I can do and let her pass at home. I started researching and learned about subcutaneous fluids, B12 shots, aluminum drops and started implementing these myself. I started feeding her with a syringe. One of my friends who also went to them and had a cat with chronic kidney disease told me to get canned kidney food from them. Here I am about a year later and MIMI is thank God with me, her vivid original self without flaws. I spent hundreds on that visit. After learning all the other possibilities for treatment there was outside of hospitalization that they never told me, I was upset but kept it to myself and did not place a review. I called there today to buy some canned cat food kidney diet. They told me I could not until I brought Mimi for a doctor's visit. I told them I don't want that doctor's opinion, they said then they could not provide the food. That is what prompted me to tell my story. I guess this is a business, money is all that matters to them. I am glad I did not take Dr. Betoglios advice and put my cat down; I hope others consider second opinions as well and learn about options outside of euthanasia and hospitalization (eg outpatient care of a sick cat). FYI canned food that can be purchased from petco or petsmart or chewy is not prescription medication; there is no need to monitor liver or kidney function or blood counts with hills k/t canned food. There is no need to check interactions with “other meds.” It’s merely low protein chicken and potato stew. As a physician I don’t give my patients limited options and or hold nutritional supplement from them for the sake of making 200-300 dollars for a visit; shame on you.

They were great! They actually cared and said they would check in on Monday. Please protect your animals and bring them here ,not Chicago Exotic animal hospital.

The times I have been there they are professional and answer all my questions. They inform me what will happen in the next visit. I have yet to meet the vet but due to times that is expected. She does call me and see if I have any concerns.

Staff is very nice, don’t get me wrong! With that being said this place is very money driven and the lack of communication between vet staff is why we left. They care more about money than they do about your dog. Take your pet else where. I always felt like it was more about business than the warm and fuzzy vet experience.

Our first visit and our little one needed surgery. The doctor and staff could not have been more professional, kind, and accommodating. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

Everyone at this facility is extremely professional and friendly. Recently I had brought my dog in to have a mass growing on his eye lid removed. The vet analyzed the mass and determined there was no threat to his vision and that it was normal to see this type of condition. I was assured the mass would be removed as carefully as possible with an attempt to minimize any visual defects of his eye due to the size and location of the mass. It is now two weeks since the surgery and I can't tell you how happy we are. Even up close it's nearly impossible to tell my friend ever had a problem with his eye. This was a very tricky surgery and with very little room to work with -- you have done a wonderful job of taking car e of my friend. After the surgery, and a couple days after the staff called to see how his recovery was going. You have a customer for life! I will certainly recommend you to anyone who needs a place they can trust to take care of their friends... or family as it is for us! Thank you.

Now you have to submit your application online to adopt a dog. So older people are not into all of this online stuff. I think we should go back the other way and submit your application at the office not online anymore.
