I am so thankful a friend of mine referred us to Dr. Smith at Companions, she has been the best Dr. Yet for our fur babies. Yes, they can get behind but it's only her and she can be short staffed at times. But she is worth the wait! I would most definitely refer others!

Sometimes it takes a little long to see Dr. Smith, but if you think about why it really changes your perspective. She takes the time to get to know the animal, the owners, and gives a thorough examination such as it were her own pet. I feel as though that level of care is worth waiting for if you really love your pet. Dr Smith is the best around.

Won't go back. My appointment was at 9:30. Sat there for over an hour waiting to be seen. They are way understaffed. ..doctor didn't apologize for the long wait. They have office cats that are allowed to just roam around so the office cat was in the exam room with my kitten and I, and my poor kitten was so scared. So unprofessional.

I have brought my pets to Dr. Smith for 20+ years. I've always thought she was a wonderful vet. Although she's always had poor people skills, she was terrific with animals. My opinion changed with a vengeance after I lost my beloved dog. When I first brought him to see her, he wasn't feeling well. She gave me two antibiotics and sent us home. He continued to decline. I spoke to her office every day. Finally, she said, “Bring him in next Thursday.” I called her on Wednesday and told her he wasn't going to last the night. She said she would admit him to the hospital at 2:30 the next day. He died at 1:45. My husband came home and brought my dead dog to Dr. Smith for cremation. It cost $100.00. Okay. My husband permitted them to carry it out. Ten days later, my husband called the vet to find out when we could pick up his remains. The woman who answered his call asked him when he was going to pick up the dog. He was still in the freezer. We didn't pay the $100.00. We thought we paid for the cremation fee when we picked up his ashes. It's always been the case in the past. This woman has lost her mind. Had I known that a month ago, my dog would not be dead, let alone stuck in a freezer

Took my 5mos Daughter(kitty) to go see Dr. Smith today and she wasn't short of an amazing. I'll still give it 5 stars. But others weren't lying when I was talking to other Furbaby owners that it'll be a long wait. But today was extra long because a long time doggy patient was there and it was his time to go and was put down. But I didn't mind it. It was worth it to get my daughter the care she needs. Dr. Smith was DEFINITELY worth the wait! And during her visit. I had anxiety trying to help hold her down when she was getting her claws clipped and thanks to the Vet Tech for helping out. I'd appreciate it! Looking forward to Mulan's next visit. Dr. Smith will be her ongoing Vet moving forward! Mulan freaked out. And of course I kinda freaked out myself. But held it in. Overall she did GREAT! And I'm SUPER happy with results too! Thanks again!! Mulan will see you in 3 weeks!

We have been a customer of theirs for several years. She is always very nice and courteous. She has a very busy schedule and she always does her best to fit everyone in, even if that means working late.

This place is a joke! We had an appointment at 11:30, at we waited, and waited, 1pm comes around I get a call saying they are ready for us, of course when we go in they aren’t ready for us, so I kindly ask for them to give me another call when they are actually ready because there was way to many people in the waiting area, and they decided I should wait longer and budge other people in front of us! Yea, definitely not coming back to this place.

The vet is understaffed and too many appointments. I left after waiting one and a half hours. We were there for nail trims.

Dr Smith was very knowledgeable and spent a nice amount of time giving me information about what might be wrong with my dog. It's located in a house on a corner across from a park i wasn't expecting that and drive by it the first time doubting my navigational abilities

I've consistently had bad scheduling experiences with this vet. Every visit I wait hours beyond my appointment times. I would totally understand if it was once and a while but every visit.... I'm done. I can't schedule appointments around someone that treats my time like it's worthless.

Dr Smith and the entire crew were excellent with our dog, Blu. We boarded him there for a few days and he came home happy and healthy. Blu seemed to have built a rapport with Dr Smith and the crew, and we will be calling to inquire about other veterinary services for all four or our sweet babies because all of our pets deserve only the best! Thanks you, Companion Animal Clinic!!

Horrible vet I wouldn't suggest them to my worst enemy I took my 6 yr old rot there cuz it seemed like she had a infection in her leg first off my appointment was at 230 we didn't even waited 3hrs before she seen the vet but then all she did was look at her leg and said she had a infection no blood tests no x-rays not type of test at all gave her antibiotics and pain killers and sent us home and said she will be perfectly fine 2 days later I woke up and my beautiful rot had passed away on next to my 8 yr Olds bed Mrs. SMITH did nothing but let my girl go home and suffer the last 2 days off her life everybody please think twice before bringing any animal there please

This is the worst vet you could possibly go to in the state line. My appointment was at 11am and I was still waiting at 1pm. Not worth wasting your time when the vet has no care for the clients. Out watering the plants while you should be looking at my dog, what a horrific place!

Had 3:00 appt at 4:45 we still had not been seen so I left. They called me on my way home at 4:55 and said they were ready to see my dog. That is no way to run a business. Schedule accordingly

I went to The Companion Animal Clinic there in loves Park Illinois. My experience there was very pleasant because they did a Health Checkup,on my cat today. Dr Smith seems like a very nice woman to talk to and do business with. Dr Smith Companion Animal Hospital Clinic doesn't overcharge you like some animal hospital clinics will try to take you for every dime or dollar you have, which is totally ridiculous for some places to do that to customers when we need their services the most for for our animals to stay healthy!!!! Companion Animal Clinic Hospital where Dr Smith works a reasonable price place!!!! I will be going back. I don't trust all the hospitals out there. I think the people that work at this Companion Animal Clinic Hospitals really seem like decent pleasant nice people to do business with!!!!
