I highly recommend this practice. Even though they are curbside only and I was very concerned about not being in with my dog for our first appointment, Dr. Vernot was a pure delight to speak with over the phone. She was extremely through in telling me what is wrong and how we, together, are going to make this better. She is the kind of doctor who you wish could be all of our (humans) doctor. The staff I came in contact with is very nice as well.

I’d share details with my experience if I had one. They have a bizarre way of going about business. I guess they can not work on dogs that are in pain? Seems odd for a vet. Not one to leave bad reviews but the Karen making the phone calls is going to lead to more bad reviews.

Dr. Vernot is an extraordinarily knowledgeable and compassionate specialist. Over the last decade, anytime I have had an eye issue in a dog, she has been phenomenal. An incredible woman!

Dr. Jackie has operated successfully on two of my English Bulldogs. She fixed a cherry eye on my current bulldog Archie yesterday. The surgery and experience went perfectly. I forgot to pick up Archie’s favorite toy yesterday. He has an unusual attachment to it. Even though it was my fault, they had it sent to me via courier today. That demonstrates what a top notch operation and what nice people they are. If your pet ever needs eye surgery, you will have a great experience at Veterinary Vision.

We have been taking our two dogs to Dr. Vernot for different eye conditions for the past few years. Dr. Vernot was very throughly with her exams and explanation of what was going on. She would make slight adjustments to the recommended treatment plan after follow-up visits, specifically on the medications (decrease/increase #of drops or discontinue). She took the time to answer any questions we have had and communicated well with our primary veterinarian. She encouraged us to call them with progress information. Never felt rushed or dismissed. Fees for services and medication were transparent. Staff is pleasant and treated our fur babies with care and compassion.

I was really happy with our appointment with Dr. Vernot. She took time to explain her findings, different treatment options, and sent us home with a handout detailing everything. Everyone on staff is great - receptionists and techs. Prompt, affordable, professional, and friendly. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you!

Great eye Dr for dogs. Many others wanted a lot to walk in the door for an emergency appointment. Dr was very knowledgeable and offered very cost effective, yet effective care. Highly recommend and I called every vet eye specialist in IL, WI, IN and IA.

If I could give this place a million stars I would— they are seriously the best!!! My poor dog had serious eye issues going on and our local vet couldn’t treat him. Every ophthalmologist I called couldn’t get him in until September, however Veterinary Vision was able to see him the same day and I found out my poor baby was in so much pain!! They immediately took action to treat his symptoms and called me every step of the way to ensure that I was informed and also educated about the situation. The doctor and her team of technicians were all amazing and well educated people— I’m so grateful for each and every one of them!

Dr Vernot and her staff were very nice to my fur baby Chance. I appreciate all the effort in trying to save my baby boy eyes. When ever I had questions, I could email and send pictures to the Dr. and usually by the end of the day the staff would call me with an answer.

Dr. Vernot and all the staff at Veterinary Vision exemplified a true sense of compassion from the intake appointment online to the exam room and follow up call I received from Dr. Vernot. Her professionalism, candor, bedside manner and sense of humor (yes she said my dog needs glasses) made for a positive experience. She took the time to document all the multiple medications my pet is taking for a corneal ulcer, explain each one in detail, labeling each bottle with instructions for use and provided a thorough take home packet of all that we had discussed, leaving no stone unturned. She asked for a follow up call in days to determine next steps for treatment. I would recommend her clinic without hesitation. Thank you all for putting my mind at ease despite the seriousness

My dog became I'll from taking an oral flea and tick med thought we were going to lose him, Dr Vernot got us through a very frightening experience. He lost an eye, but he has one healthy eye and can see.

I have brought several foster dogs here for an eye exam. The vets here are fantastic at taking a thorough look at an animal and explaining any issues and treatment.

I don't agree with the 4.7 star rating it should be 5 Stars across the board wonderful doctor

Attitude goes a long way. Its not that you could not fulfil our request or accommodate an expedited appointment. Its how you handled it. Telling a customer no is fine. Getting an attitude, being condescending, and accusing the customer of lying are never a good look. This started with the girl at the front desk and was furthered by the Vet. We are not leaving a 1 star review because you said no. We are leaving a one star review for the disrespect and complete lack of customer service. Even when we called back to have them send our records to the new Vet the lady at the desk still had an attitude, was snappy, condescending, and hung up abruptly.

Doctor Jackie is absolutely phenomenal! She was very sweet to our cat Bones and she even let her sniff all of the equipment that was going to be used! Could not be happier with this place!

Dr. Vernot and her staff (especially Sue) are amazing. Dr. Vernot truly treats each of her patients as one of her own. We are lucky to have her treat our Lucy for the past 4-5 months. Always a great experience. Reasonable pricing and no problems with refilling medications. Thank you Veterinary Vision!!

Best place ever for eye care for your pet! Years of expertise + a 'hands on' approach that made my cat + my dog unafraid in a new, strange environment. I consider Dr Vernot a true blessing. She helped save my kittens vision in one eye after a very iffy beginning! And the staff are competent, caring, and pleasant inspite of today's ups + downs!

They did refund me for the medication they overprescribed to my puppy which I did not use after reading about the side effects, however, these meds should not have been prescribed in the first place. A couple of them overlapped and 2 of them had not been studied in animals younger than 2 and could CAUSE cataracts. Took him to my vet, got a homeopathic remedy and he is FINE. Perfect. Seems to me they are extremely aggressive in prescribing medication that may not be necessary.

Recently moved to area and immediately my Shih Tzu had an eye issue. They were recommended by another vet so I tried them out and I am so glad I did. The staff has been amazing, kind and so patient with me because this is the first time I have ever had to deal with anything like this. I even went to an appointment and my car battery died and they were kind enough to come out and jump my car. They always go above and beyond. I highly recommend them if you have a pet with eye issues that needs care/attention from a specialist.

I have been taking my 2 Japanese Chin to Dr. Vernot for over a year now. I came to see her for a second opinion after seeing a specialist in Chicago for several years who was very kind but was always suggesting surgery. My experience with Veterinary Vision has been nothing short of outstanding! Everyone feels so authentic and kind. My dogs actually are excited to see everyone there and look forward to the box of treats they get to pick from at the end of the visit. Most importantly, Dr. Vernot takes the time to explain her vast knowledge of how the eyes work (or aren't working). I always have so many questions. After our first visit, appropriate medication changes were made. I was assured that surgery wasn't needed now as they weren't experiencing pain and how we would know when the time for surgery would be. I do not find her treatment aggressive (particularly in comparison to past treatment protocols I received), but appropriate. I feel completely at ease with putting my dogs in her care. The staff is wonderful. They are so helpful with refilling medications and handling the dogs (especially now). Thank you Dr. Vernot and Veternary Vision staff!!!
