While we didn't get the news we had hoped for, the staff was incredibly kind and supportive. We really appreciate professionalism and empathy from the receptionist, vet techs, and doctor. Highly recommended.

My pet Turkey Coconut, needed an emergency surgery! She had severe cuts and lacerations. Dr Staudenmaier performed the surgery. She gave me hope. She was very passionate and helped Coconut regain her health with follow up visits and bandage changes! I am so grateful to the efforts of the staff at Ness Exotics.

Dr. Nye was wonderful! He gave me a lot of information.

I have an unreleasable rehabbed squirrel. They successfully fixed him for me. Later, I noticed it looked like his teeth didn’t seem right. I took him here again, and again they took care of him-and even trimmed his nails, which I hadn’t even brought up. They’re very personable and caring toward the animals. They just show they love what they do. Thank you for caring for Rusty!

First was put on hold twice so she could answer the phone. Which to me why is the person calling more important than me. Second she had a horrible attitude. Secondly I was just calling to see if they did home visits. She was very freaking rude.

I have taken my ferrets to see Dr. Ness, and his staff for years. Highly recommend.

After days of looking for a good vet for my 3 parakeets. I found Ness Exotic Wellness Center. Probably one of the only Exotic Vets near me. The staff is very helpful and sweet. Dr. Staudenmaier was very kind and helpful. She took care of my parakeets in such a gentle manner. The facility is very clean and the atmosphere is nice and calm. I definitely recommend any exotic pet owners to come here.

I would not take my African Grey Parrot anywhere else. He's been seeing Dr. Ness since 1998, even before he opened his own practice.

We brought our pet rat here after she started experiencing skin issues. We had previously brought our other rat to a different exotics vet for a different issue, but were unhappy with their practice as they had no idea what was going on and immediately suggested euthanasia. Our experience at Ness has been much better. Dr. Staudenmaier is very friendly and she obviously cares about animals. This skin issue has been chronic and stubborn, but she has been willing to work with us to try multiple treatments and there has been some improvement. I highly appreciate the respect Dr. Staudenmaier has for our beloved pet. Not once have I gotten any sense of "why bother, it's just a rat" like I did from the other exotics vet we went to. The prices are fair and in line with other exotics vets in the area.

Cannot reccomend Ness Exotic more. Absolutely wonderful, compassionate, patient staff all around, but specifically Dr. Krumm and Michelle. Both of them took well over an hour explaining the best care and diet for my pet cockatiel. We were never rushed and all of our questions (and we had quite a few) were answered completely. Thank you so much for all that you do!

Please don't let the one girl at the front desk deter you from getting the excellent care your pet deserves. The doctors have saved the lives of two of my rabbits over the years, and I've always felt secure in the treatment they give my animals and they are more afforable and thorough than the other vet in Chicago that treats exotics. The staff is wonderful, except the one girl at the front. Every time I've spoken to her she has been rude and condescending, to the point they lost my business for a bit, but the care is truly the best around so I've gone back. Other than her it would be 5 stars.

This place has been amazing to my sugar glider, and I love that Dr. Ness has so much experience with them. My boy loves his vet Dr. Staudenmaier. The whole staff are always so caring and responsive to any issues. For an exotic vet the prices are not astronomical either.

I just called to make an appointment. The receptionist was very annoyed because she could not understand me over the phone. He tone seems like very frustrated or she is not having a good day. I said bye to her and looked for another vet.

They were able to help my bird with a medical condition. Dr Ness explained what was wrong with Lucy and what I needed to do to help her.

I brought my leopard gecko in for the first time to get a general check-up and I LOVED the Ness Wellness Center. They were so responsive and easy to work with. My gecko got great care in a timely manner.

Dr Ness and his team were amazing. Extremely responsive, informative, and genuinely caring. It was very reassuring to find such outstanding care!

I used to own a hedgehog so I came here occasionally. The staff was always so nice, accommodating, and responsive, and the doctors were so nice with their assistance and advice without judgement. When my hedgehog passed, they helped me with everything, and I was able to get his ashes quickly. They even sent a sympathy card a few weeks later, which was so lovely.

My go to exotic vet. They have done wonders with all my reptiles. My last visit was a sad one but they were very curtious when they took care of my bearded dragon Ghost

I’ve been coming to Ness for a number of years, first with a bunny named Smudge and currently with a parrot named Nala. I’ve always had a wonderful experience. The doctors are all great!

I have had great experiences with Ness Exotic with my pet rabbit, Olaf. They have always been helpful and compassionate. They understand and are respectful of the cost of procedures and have always giving me options of care. Not everyone can afford all procedures that may be called for or offered. Some don't agree with those procedures for one reason or another. The folks at Ness have always offered me options and have respected my decisions after they have thoroughly educated me on them.

Always have a good experience @ Ness. My tortoise Squirt loves it there. ????
