We would never take our pets to any other vet. Dr. Burgess and her staff truly care about their furry patients. We have been with them for many years. They have supported us with 2 elderly cats to ensure they had appropriate and the best end of life care possible. We now have 2 new kitties! Dr. Burgess just called us on a Sunday evening with test results to ease our mind and not keep us waiting.

Dr Burgess and Cheryl were phenomenal! Very informative and upfront about what puppy would need and what to expect. Well run office and very on time!

Hate to have to write this but very unprofessional service today by the staff. Had to remove stiches and was told no charge. Get a call back once the procedure was completed stating that they are charging me. John the office manager dears to say I am unprofessional for being upset that his office says one thing then does another. Sad I will no longer bring my pets here. And on top of it all they don't even re-wrap the tail because they are upset with me. Very professional! When you start to use an excuse as misunderstanding and wasn't performed at your hospital, again unprofessional. I called and explained what the procedure was and you were emailed a copy from the emergency vet. Please take responsibility for your own mix up and put better procedures in-place. If you say one thing you don't turn around and do something else - #unprofessional!

I would recommend Healthy Paws to anyone looking for the best comfort and care for their animals. All of the staff are exceptional, communicative and compassionate. They have treated our dog as if he was their own and have gone above and beyond in taking care of all of his needs. They make the experience so enjoyable for the animals and keep them relaxed and happy. Our pup loves every visit! We are so fortunate to take our dog to Healthy Paws and I trust Dr. Burgess and her expertise. I couldn’t recommend Healthy Paws enough!!

We have had pets for 25+ years and have several different veterinarian experiences over the years. Healthy Paws Animal Hospital is a breath of fresh air. We brought our new puppy to Dr. Burgess and crew via a reference from a great friend. They make you feel like family. They love on your pets. They check in on you after your visit. They made up a binder with all of our pup's info in it for us to take home. After her spay, she came out with a neckerchief that had our pup's name on it. I can't say enough about this experience! GO TO HEALTHY PAWS!

Our cat Sable had a problem with a k9 tooth. We called about 2pm on Friday. They told us that they had a full schedule but if we wanted to wait in the parking lot they would get Sable in. We will definitely be coming back again with our other animals!!!

My 2 dogs LOVE Dr. Burgess and the entire team. They're excited to go to the vet. The entire Healthy Paws team is great, they're all very knowledgeable and super nice and it shows that they genuinely care about their patients. Dr. Burgess follows up with us even on the weekend or after hours which I hadn't experienced before. We've been to 2 other vets before we discovered Healthy Paws and it's as different as night and day. We've been seeing Dr. Burgess for almost 6 years and I haven't regretted that decision even once.

The short version: I would not recommend Healthy Paws to anyone, especially those with large dogs. They value money over actual treatment and drug dogs unnecessarily instead of treating it as a last resort. The long version: When my family got a new puppy, we read the reviews for local vets and decided to use Healthy Paws. At first, everything was great, however, as my puppy grew into a very large adult dog, it became increasingly clear that Healthy Paws was uncomfortable treating him. In August 2020, we brought him in because his paw was raw and he was constantly licking it, leading to a limp. I brought him in and was informed that my dog, who had always been very cooperative at the vet, needed to be sedated for them to look at the paw. I chalked it up to him not letting them look at the area due to the pain. Two weeks went by, we followed the vet’s instructions perfectly, but he was still trying to chew the paw. I called and they wanted to bring him in again so they could prescribe him with an allergy medication which would cost $160 a month. I told them I was going to try switching his food first and they advised me that was a bad idea because “Science Diet is a good food”. I decided to follow my gut and do it anyway, and after some experimentation we figured out he had an allergy to peas. In October, our dog was due for his rabies shot. I scheduled the appointment for later that week, and let me employer know I needed the time off to take him in. 20 minutes before my appointment, Healthy Paws called me to tell me they reviewed my dog’s records and he would need to be sedated for his visit. I told them that it was only because his paw was injured and that he had never had an issue before for routine visits. They insisted he needed to be sedated due to his size and told me I would need to reschedule my appointment that was starting in 20 minutes and come pick up a bottle of sedatives instead. I was advised to take the bottle home and “experiment” before I bought him in. When I refused to “experiment with drugs” on my dog, Dr. Burgess became very temperamental and informed me “You are not experimenting with drugs, you are experimenting with dosages”. I let them know I had already scheduled the time off work and since my appointment was in 20 minutes, I would prefer they try and if he needed to come back again under sedation, I would reschedule. They were hesitant, but agreed. It was also at this time I was informed they would be performing a wellness check on him that was an additional $250 and asked if I brought the fecal sample I was never told to bring. At this point, I was pretty irritated as I was only bringing him in for a rabies shot, which turned into a $450 visit at the last minute. As it turns out, they were able to give him the rabies shot, but they said they were unable to perform the wellness check without sedation. Due to Covid procedures, I could not be there to witness this, but they have done this 10 times in the past for his normal check-ups and he NEVER had an issue. My dog is not vicious, he shows no signs of aggression, he is just a big dog and they were intimidated. Today, I called to schedule the appointment for an ear infection and agreed to sedation because I just wanted to get him treated. I received a call back 4 hours later to tell me that they would also need to give him an injectable sedative in addition to the oral sedative. I agreed to these new terms as well. Even after this, it seemed they did not want to see my dog. Brooke on the other end was snarky and refused to give me pricing over the phone. She said she would email an estimate. For an hour, I stewed over the conversation and decided to just call another vet. In the time it took her to send the estimate (over 2 hours, which was now 6 ½ hours since I initially called with an issue) I called another vet, scheduled an appointment, brought him in, and they cleaned and treated his ears with no need for a sedative or even a muzzle. This will be our new vet.

I’m sooooo mad I didn’t know of this place sooner. My poor past animals. I had no idea vets like this existed. AMAZING place. I’m blown away and will never go anywhere else if I can help it. Especially during covid?? How are they so aware, kind, caring, thorough!! Man I can’t stress that last one enough. 1: treats to calm my cat 2: first place to mention a relaxer option for my cat prior to visit if needed 3: zoom option and window to watch during covid 4: gave us a cute binder for our cat 5: they called me twice to see how my car was doing Not bc I didn’t answer the first time. They called the first time to make sure doing the medicine worked and then a few days later to make sure he was doing better. I can’t handle knowing this place slipped past me. But not anymore.

I cannot say enough about Dr Burgess and all the staff at Healthy Paws. Their dedication and expertise has been top notch in caring for our much loved Mia. Because of their services, we were able to obtain 2 more years with Mia which meant the world to us. They have applied their love, medical knowledge and dedication which has gone above and beyond. This includes phone calls on Sundays(off hours) to check up on Mia and to also deliver rapid test results. This staff made saying good bye a little more peaceful for us. We are forever thankful for this team, special shout out to Cheri; your amazing

I have had dogs my entire life and have worked with several vets. Dr. Burgess and staff blows them all away. I have never had a medical professional (for humans or animals) be so proactive. They always call and follow up and check in. Dr. Burgess herself routinely takes time to answer questions via phone. (I had prior experiences when you could never speak to the vet via phone and office staff always wanted you to make an appointment to come in). When it was time for one of my dogs to go Dr. Burgess was incredibly compassionate and kind. I cannot say enough good things about this office. Healthy Paws Animal Hospital is the way to go. In short - they are awesome!

We took our pug, Lucy, here and Dr. Burgess and the staff treated her so kindly. Everyone here is so compassionate. From the minute you walk through the door you know these people are true animal lovers. When Lucy got sick unexpectedly, they saw us right away and helped us through a most difficult time. The day after she passed, Dr. Burgess called me to offer condolences and truly made me feel like she really cared about Lucy and how we were all feeling. We adopted another pug, Leo and when I called to set up his appointment, the staff (Bailey) was so excited for us and to hear our story of how we found him at the shelter! Dr. Burgess even called the next day after his visit to check on him! Healthy Paws is hands down the best place to take your animals to. The entire staff is amazing!! We will never go anywhere else!!

My vet had closed after I had been taking my dog there 12 years. I had tried banfield for a year but became very unhappy with them. I found Dr. Burgess and took my baby in. From start to finish I was extremely pleased with how kind and patient all the staff was. Dr. Burgess always listened to my concerns as my baby had a seizure condition and I always had many questions and concerns due to this. I had the best experiences here. Every visit and emergency they were always willing to help and answered all my questions. I had to put my baby down a week before her 15th birthday due to her having an ulcer burst in her eye ($4,000 surgery and her quality of life was low due to her seizures). Dr. Burgess gave me every option I could do before even mentioning putting her down. I love that about this place. The understand that pets are family. They also have great options available when you put you pet down. They were very nice and understanding about all of it. I will take all my future animals here.

Dr. Burgess is the best! She truly cares about her patients and their family. I’m thankful she has taken the time to follow up multiple times and see how our pup is doing after surgery. Even while she is on vacation! She is genuine and compassionate. She explains things thoroughly and in an easy to understand way! Sherry is awesome as well! I’m sure the rest of their staff is just as great. I’m glad we chose to take our baby to their office!

Appear to be terrified of dog bites. They ask you to drive your dog before a visit and then use a muzzle. Seem to be ok vets but need to chill out a bit

Exceptional staff and doctors. They take the time with your pet and you. Follow up by the doctors is 2nd to none. If you want a vet that actually cares about your pet and takes the time to follow up on how your pet is doing this is the place to go. Had one of my dogs going here and have pulled the other dog from their normal vet to here.

Hands down the nicest people ever.. I called at 7:30 on Easter Monday regarding my cat being sick, I've not been a patient here before with any animals. They were SO kind from the phone call to checking out . Told me to come right in with my cat to get him looked at. I'm so thankful. The nurses were all super sweet and good with my cat. Even though my cat was sick and I was upset everyone gave me space and time and explained everything to me multiple times till I understood. From what's going on and what to do with next steps and price. . The doctor came in multiple times with updates and everything. The doctor was also very helpful and I k nm ow that can be hard to find .she walked me through step by step. I was here for hours this day and they all were so kind and helpful..I will for sure be going here from now on with all my fur babies. I can not stress how amazing these people are .
