We adopted our dog from TLC. The staff are very caring.

TLC is a fantastic shelter. It's a no kill shelter and the animals there are treated with respect, kindness and care. Pets are never pushed on you. You are able to see the pets available, pick one that interests you, and then get to spend time alone with the pet to see if the two of you are a good match. The people that manage the shelter are also great folks. This is my new friend Penny. TCL is one great place.

Website looks good, Still waiting for application decision; well actually no; found and adopted a fine puppy from "Once Upon a prayer" animal resue; so no need for these guys anymore.

Good experience adopting a puppy

The worst shelter experience I have had. These people seemed like they could care less when we walked in the door, one person was nice enough to help guide us where to go but then it all went down hill after that. Found a couple dogs I wanted to visit with and had some questions about them and the staff got so rude and snotty with us when we were just trying to learn more about the animal. Do NOT recommend. Adoption fee was $500 for most the animals and these are not really purebreds or anything so it seems they care more about the money then the animal. Adopting is not about the money but when the staff treats you so rudely, seeming like they care less about the animals.. thinking about handing over that kind of money to these people was not something I was willing to do. These peoples attitude and the way they treated us definitely held me back from saving one of the dogs I was interested in.. will not be back!

Awesome!! I felt the love as soon as I came in. The people who worked there r very warm,caring. U could see it,hear it, n feel it. My dog was very shy but beautiful n sweet. One of the ladies was giving her luv while I took care of paperwork. There was no smell,and the place couldnt have been cleaner! My dog was 1 day away from heaven when TLC RECEVD her. So we said she was for me n she is now home with me,calm n sleeping. I'm so happy she is here with me. GOD BLESS ALL AT TLC. SHADOW SAID WOOF,THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING U HAVE DONE FOR ME. I felt very good, when we left knowing that Stella will be taking care of. Will stop in and see how she is doing. Travels well, and didn't make a noise in the car, no fighting to out in carrier. If I didn't have my cats, we would have taken her ourself. We saved her from the winter. She had a home before. The people who work there are very nice and friendly. Looking for a pet? Adopt please, not shop. Stop by TLC and check them out.????♥️????

We rescued a dog from TLC 3 years ago. We love our dog dog so much, but he was a mess back then. I have never seen a place that adopts animals unspayed or not neutered. So...paid for that. Vet went on to find that our boy had 3 kinds of worms and Lyme disease. $600 in the two weeks after adopting him! He also also had diarrhea for months. I would never tell anyone to adopt from this place!

I adopted my baby fur boy there in 2010. I was helped by a wonder gentleman man Casey. I unfortunately had to have Shadow put down yesterday 12/2/21. He was very ill and did not recover from surgery. He was a very happy and loved pup by all he was my life and best of friends. I will be going back for another very soon and hope Casey is still there.

We had a great experience the entire staff at the shelter. It was clean and the animals appeared well cared for. We also found the sweetest husky! He is now a loved and cherished part of our family! Thank you TLC Shelter!

TLC is a very friendly, clean, cheerful shelter! The kittys I saw there were healthy and friendly. I highly recommend this shelter!

Great place. I have adopted a number of cats over the last forty years. I'm looking to get another soon. So many kittens to choose from. Sooooo cute! Hard to decide. Anyway, my past experiences with TLC have all been positive. I'm sure that my next adoption will go well.

This is an awesome no kill shelter with a great staff! Highly recommend it.

It's a small shelter. It looks like they get animals in on a regular basis. Seems like puppies get adopted quickly. Staff is very helpful.

Clean, caring shelter, family owed, they truly care about the animals and finding them good homes.

I adopted my Labrador here and she’s an amazing dog now. However I had to call 3 times just to ‘reserve’ her incase previous callers didn’t take her home. Luckily they didn’t. The day we are supposed to pick her up, we are 15 minutes early and the parking is PACKED. And I’d we arrived a few minutes later, our pup would’ve been taken by another couple, which was alarming since we’ve already had been informed she’d be ours. The description is not all true either. It was said she was great with dogs but I’ve only got her to be gentle with a few. She does not like other dogs at all. She was also very skinny and definitely harmed by other owners before she was admitted into the shelter, but that isn’t the shelters fault- I really hope. I appreciate the fact that I adopted and was able to rescue a loving and now happy dog, but the business itself could be improved.

I'm really upset and disappointed with how I was treated here. I found a sick stray kitten and I was trying to find a no-kill shelter that would treat it and give it a chance. I also happen to work at an animal hospital and called from there to try to get placement for my kitten. I was out on hold and a man answered and asked me why I wasn't giving it medication. I asked excuse me? And he stated that the caller ID stated I worked at an animal hospital so why wasn't I treating it? I tried to explain that I am not in a position to keep or treat it and he told me he couldn't take it until next Tuesday or Wednesday. When I asked him if this was because I worked at animal hospital he hung up on me. I thought they would help but I was treated so poorly I am truly upset and shocked.

They do not check people out before selling them a dog. I had called and spoke to them about someone that will be coming in and buying a dog, that really isn't capable of taking care of a dog. Well, they sold one for $500 to this person not even a week later!!!! The dog isn't being takin care of...not getting food and water everyday...not being let outside. This is an 8 mo puppy that was sold to a person that can barely walk!!!! Let alone take care of a puppy!! I have seen this puppy running down a busy road almost getting hit twice before we could get her in the car!! I called them and they did absolutely nothing!!! This is TOTAL ANIMAL NEGLECT!! I believe they are just about the money, this clearly shows it!!

Excellent shelter very clean and the owners really take good care of the animals.

Adoption prices are on the high side????

We went there to meet a animal, their posting states they open at 11 but 4 people had already been in the building looking at animals. How does someone walk out with an adoption when you’ve been open 1 minute? It was a big waste of time and disappointing. Never returning.

My partner and I recently adopted a beautiful and loving 9 month old pit-bull puppy from there. The faculty appeared to be knowledgeable, kind and animal living people. They even gave us a water and food bowls with stand, a big box of dog biscuits and a pretty pink leash for Heidi(her name).

They are really a very clean place, take very good of their animals ????????????

We gave them a stray dog, they took her in and were very helpful. Also had a beautiful variety of dogs, cat, kittens, and puppies. Great place and cheap. Really great, visit and adopt a pet. 10/10
